JeffAt nearly 40 years old, and no fear of anthying, my husband still has not faith in his gift of singing. I’m trying to surprise him for his birthday by giving him a chance of a lifetime to share this gift and expand upon it. He’s the milk man by trade (funny but true lol), fights fires in his spare time, and continues to invest in real estate instead of making his hobby a reality. I was a huge Breaking Benjamin fan at the time and while listening to my CD player I tried to sing their song Home and it turned out really well. Ever since then I have enjoyed singing. PATTY PERRINGreetings my name is Patty Perrin and I live in Winston Salem, N.C. I have been singing seems like forever and a day. For years I have always felt I had what it took to be nationally known but my downfall was my fear of succeeding. I never liked being judged when it came to my vocals because I felt it downplayed what you new you were capable of. My mother always said you are going to be a great singer. For years she supported me as I performed in various groups and choirs, being my number one fan. However not long ago my mother died still believing I would be great but unfortunately she would never get to see it come to pass. I hold my\self at fault because I let my fear of success rob me of any chance I had to felt out there. Well after she passed away I stopped working, singing and performing and managed to keep myself hostage in my home for two years not leaving out to do anything but grieve. What managed to bring me out of bondage was God, my music and my mothers voice that was telling me to go get it ,its not too late. So when I seen this opportunity I decided to let go of my fears and not let her wish be in vain. I have strength now and I’m wiling to put myself out there so the world can see what I have to give. Maryannsinging is my all-time hobby!! i absolutely love it! i have a lot of confidence when im doing kareoke and people say im fantastic. i was granted my “christmas wish” by a local band called circle seven to sing on stage to my favorite song!! everyone there said i was like a pro. i want to inspire others to show their talents and be confident about what they love. i want to show everyone that you dont have to be psysically beautiful or perfect to have talent. i enjoy my self expression with singing. for me, its the best way to voice how im feeling. 🙂 thanks for reading this 🙂 0 Reply January 21, 2014
