Sarah Tiffany DemersAs the daughter of a muscian, watching the struggles of trying to live a dream while meeting the standards of a strong provider has been heart breaking. My father is one of the most talented guitar players I have ever heard. After 60 years of sticking to his passion, normalcy has finally taken over and he now drives a truck in North Dakota and I’ve only seen him 2 times this year. As a lover of music myself, the temptation to think there’s no chance for me weighs heavy. But I’m convinced I will not be satisdfied if my life lacks the singing and performing I long for. I am 19, in college and I work at a restaraunt. Mediocre is just not an option anymore. When I first saw this show my hope was sparked. I’ve always been interested in auditioning for a talent show but I thrive on performing with a partner. I would much rather create beautiful harmonies with someone than sing by myself. The magic that can happen between two singers blending together is out of this world. tanishawhy i should be considered? why should anyone be considered, for thier drive and passion for what it is that they love the most. i personally love to sing. it brings the best and the worstout of me. all i acn see is music in my future. when i try to think of something else lol it knida mmakes me mad. i get frustrated. when i listen to the radio, i can feel myself behind every word as if it were me singing and not them. when i watch performances, it brings tears to my eyes because my heart longs to be on a stage. whether im writing my own music or singing someone elses. because no mattter where the lyrics came from it means something to someone. music is in my soul and without it im not sure where i would be. all ive ever wanted was a chance. whether the out come is what i want or not, a chance to live something that seems so far from me, a dream. i dnt want it for the fame or the name . i want it because i love it. like a doctor loves to heal and make people better. in a way i feel the same way. music is my medicine and my doctor. and that will never change. and if i dont catch your eye it will remain so. i would just love the chance to share the same love that i have for music with everyone else. my mind and heart is open and ready for it all ready for anything. ready to join my love. and to be around others that have that same love. others that i can grow and learn from. just like the doctor i could never stop learning and growing. take my voice to places i never knew were possible. and i speak to you as humbly as i know how. this is what my heart has always desired. but im goin to stop now lol. cuz i cld probably go on and on. Rachel BockoverMy name is Rachel Bockover I grew up singing with my mom and four sisters in the northern CA mountains. I always knew I wanted to be a performer. When I was 17 I started writing songs and performed at my highschool graduation. I got to be pretty big stuff in my home town but theres only so far one can go without some kind of break so I auditioned to be on American Idol. Unfortuately I didnt make it onto the show. Next I tried The Voice, and again didnt get through. Each audition I do I learn a little more. I am most often told that I am hard to classify, or need to find more modern influences. Its hard to get your foot in the door in this bussiness for any one but when your different it can be even harder. Uniquness is encouraged but within certain peramiters. I just need some guidence to find my true voice as an artist. I know there is a place for me in this world. I know I have something to offer I just need a platform. China Monae GreenIt’s been 7 years. 7 years since the passion of music, singing, entertainment all began in my life. When I was 9 years old an Aunt of mine died outta the blue due to heart failure. She was my motivation to even sing! Everyday after school we’d watch Free and AJ on 106&park showcase all fresh new singing talent through their new hot music video. I was always in tuned and wondered if I could one day do that! My aunt then said to me if you put your mind to it then you can do it I’ll help you! A few months after her encouraging words she passed. I was very young and confused. But somehow I began to write what I was feeling. I began to vividly, rhythmically, and emotionally write the anger, frustration, and sadness down on paper. Youtubing instrumentals to sing along to my lyrics became great help because I didn’t know how to play an instrument nor did I have money to pay for tracks myself. As I grew older I started to sing in school musicals. Sing for school talent shows, and with the great reviews I got back from school peers and teachers I then decided I wanted a broader audiences opinion. So then I would audition for small talent searches in places like Tennessee where I always seem to have had “almost made it”. Then i came across in a lady who believed in me. She helped fix my vocals and training me a bit. Then I started singing for fashion shows and even recording my own songs! Suddenly when it seemed I was finally launching off to pursue my dreams by inspiring people with songs my grandmother passed away in June 2012. I was completely devastated! I again felt so hurt. Why could this happen? How did it happen? Then in July of 2012 I was given the chance to go to NY paid completely and I instantly a my fire rekindled! I know why god has given me this amazing talent. I sing not for mysf, but for other people. I sing to tell stories that people can relate to. So they can feel safe, sad, happy, excited and etc. The opportunity to be on the show DUETS would greatly benefit the show because I have a powerful that can reach to people in ways you can’t even imagine! I sing with passion. With clarity. With purpose. 7 years. That’s how long it’s been since i’ve been trying to live my dream. And I pray that it will change. I would listen to my dad play guitar and my mom played piano. I decided when I was 10 that I wanted to join the band and played trumpet until I was 14. My sophmore year of high school, I joined our chorus class and learned how to read music and sing with scales. My teacher had a small recording studio and I got the opportunity to help him out, so it was nice to be able to experience that end of the music world. I suffered with alcohol/drug addiction for many years, it took the death of my mother, & two of my husbands for me to realize just how precious life is. I have an open mind to all genres and styles of music for example Gospel, R&B/Soul, & even Country. I used to sing little kid music web I was younger(just like all the other kids did) but when Kelly Clarkson came out I started singing all of her music. Daniella VolkerHey! My name is Daniella, I’m 21 and in college for International Studies. I have loved singing my entire life. I want to be on this show for two reasons. The first are my parents, they have always supported me in whatever I have chosen to do, and I would love to do this to have a chance to give back to them as much as they have given me. The second reason is I have been told my entire life, pretty much since season one of American Idol came out, that I should go on one of these shows, but I never had the confidence to do so. I have a fantastic support system who believes in me, and I would love to prove them all right. I’ve always been afraid of chasing my dream to sing and it would mean the world to me to have that opportunity. I’m a huge fan of every single one of the judges, and would be beyond honored to learn from their experiences. Madison BowerHi there! I’m Madison Bower; I’m 19 from a small town of Moville, Iowa. I have a younger brother, he got the athletic genes in the family, so fortunately for me, i can sing. I grew up on 7 acres so you can imagine when it was time to mow or scoop snow no one really wanted to step up to the plate ;). We have sheep, cats and a goat named Billie!! (Original). Although I grew up in the boonies, I loved every minute of it!! The simple life! When I’m not singing you’ll find me fishing with my dad on Sunday afternoons, riding my four-wheeler down our gravel roads, hanging out with my friends or helping my mom with her garden. My heroes besides my parents are Willie Nelson and Shania Twain. They each have such inspiring stories and their music touches me and helps me believe in myself. This show is like a dream come true. Ever since dancing with the stars came out I was hoping they would come out with a show similar, but with singing. This is the show I have been waiting for! It is a chance to show my talent to the world and be able to perform with an artist on stage. How fun!!! I am humbled, but believe I have what it takes to be a professional country singer, which has been my dream since 3 years old. I have won numerous talent competitions, but one day a PR person heard me from a record label and was interested and one week later I had an accident that left me with two damaged hip joints. The only thing that kept me going was music, and now I am a single mom with two twin boys with Autism and I have coped with this with music and my boys sing as well. I feel if I had been able to have that chance I would have made it. I have made it in my heart and with god because I still have my gift and people love it. I am best known for my renditions of Gladys Knight, Aretha franklin , and Whitney Houston. Duets needs a female vocalist on the show who will bring it to the stage and I am that female vocalist!! Nikki MoranI’ve been singing all my life but never anything major. I did all the school talent shows and some outside competitions with groups like 4-H. I have always had the desire and passion to pursue the dream, however, I have not always had an easy life. Growing up I was required to be an adult and I didn’t get the time to shine and do many of the things children should get to do nor did I have the parents who would support me enough to let me follow my dreams.
