sandraAt 62 years of age , I can’t wait to start my career as an actor. Having worked for 20 years as a nurse, I am ready to spread my wings once again. The thought of auditioning for roles fills me with exhilaration( terror also). With a renewed sense of purpose, I look forward to starting this journey! Therefore, I would love the chance to audition or work as an extra, or work behind the scenes(pun intended). The opportunity to be around and learn from creative people would be a dream come true. 0 Reply April 3, 2013

Barb Fowler RobertsonAct? Lord yes, I act. I have to. I live among Texans. Born and raised in eastern Texas, the bible belt we call it and I do say, they can get mighty tight at times but I have yet to find Jesus in a belt at all in the bible. But hey, it is what it is. I reckon that’s part of that Love thy neighbor stuff you talked about. I don’t get religion at all–but I love Jesus. I love people. All people. I left Texas at eighteen and joined the military, seen the world, met new people, cultures and completely flipped my families lid when I sent home a letter telling my family I was dating an African American man. That was supposedly in the bible to…apparently in the ten commandments of ‘do not date a black man’ of which I have yet to find…but whatever. I rebelled and did it anyway which caused a ruckus. I was always the rebel anyway. I had no idea it would stir up a mess of affliction in my life that would have me questioning everything I ever believed about man, about love, about people, about family and what life really is about. Anyway, I said all this to say that I know what it means to love thy neighbor and I know what it means to want to choke the living $#& out of them too, while that love thy neighbor crap just goes out the window. haha. I would love to be an actor on the Love thy neighbor show. I’ve been a pretty good chameleon the better part of half my life wondering around taking people pieces off others and wearing them as a mask unto myself because I had no idea who I was. By the time I ripped off all the masks there was about 142 people laying at my feet. It took me 49 years to find my identity and sometimes I still don’t know who the hell I am at times….but that’s part of the journey. Finding our self. I would love to find myself on the set of your show. I’m a white girl, southern born, 5 ft 2 in with a booming personality! Pick me. Pick me. I’m also a writer of fictional stories and have a vivid imagination. 0 Reply April 2, 2013
Kyle HartMy son is 8 years old and he loves to sing and act. He’s very intelligent and I honestly have been hesitant in having him to audition for any type of acting roles out of fear of “Hollywood” rumors. But as an African American family, we admire Tyler Perry’s work. We love all the teaching aspects that is revealed via his plays and movies. Because my son absolutely adores Tyler Perry and I believe in him (Tyler), I promised my son I would try my absolute best to help fulfill his dreams of starring in one of Tyler’s movies or plays. My son’s voice is very strong for his age. I would love for him to audition. 0 Reply April 2, 2013

Nicole PittsI feel like I’m perfect for this role, no I’m not an experienced actress, but I have experienced life, a rough one at that. With having faced many obstacles and continuing to be tested I have and is still knocking down walls, still trying to find my way. I find Me. Perry to be inspiring, not by the productions but by his humbleness, and humanitarian awards. My life is and continuing to be a Tyler Perry film. If I had the opportunity it would mean the world to me. I feel like Im destined to be something bigger than myself. I’ve beaten the odds and tried not to become a statistic, I still keep the faith, because I believe. I will not stop until I succeed!! From my life to yours always Nicole.. 0 Reply April 1, 2013

Dorion McMickensHi. My name is Dorion McMickens. I am 20 years old. I am an aspiring actor. I’ve never taken drama classes. It’s just a God given gift. I sing and write poetry. I am back and forth with being a college student. I was at the university of west ga on a football scholarship from August 2011-May 2012. I gave it up to come home and try to help my family out. My family has been homeless since September. I am a student at dalton state now. I haven’t been homeless the last three weeks, thanks to my school. Besides all of that, you should consider me because I have a passion for acting and singing. My goal in life isn’t to make a lot of money or to be famous. It is to be happy with my life and enjoy what I do for a living. By selecting me, you could help me start fulfilling a dream that means so much to me. A journey of 1000 miles begins a with the 1st step. 0 Reply April 1, 2013

It would be of great pleasure if i were to be considered for a part in your tv show! Singing has always been my passion, but i’ve always wanted to know the feeling and excitement of being in front of the camera! At the age of 3, i began singing & doing acts, praise dances, and plays in my church. It soon got to the point where other people began asking my mother, who literally looks like my teenage sister, if i could perform in their church, and weddings, which was really weird to me at the time lol. Corine TurnerWhen I was a kid, I loved acting. Being raised as an only child, I created character and places to escape to. Now that I’m older, acting took a back seat to “life”. I now am ready to delve back into something that used to give me so much joy. Since Tyler Perry stepped onto the scene, I have loved the characters that he has created. Many of them are so multi-dimensional and it would fullfill a lifelong dream just to audition for something bigger than me.I am African American; 5ft 2in. I look much younger than my actual age. I was in the drama club in high school and have done some community plays. I am excited about this opportunity and hope to hear from you soon. 0 Reply April 1, 2013
NicoleHello, my name is Nicole Johnson and i am 14 years old. It has been a dream of mine to be movies and not because of the money and fame, don’t get me wrong that is a big plus, but it is more about the passion of showing people who i am and who i someday hope to be. i want to change the world in my own way. i hope that one day when people say nicole johnson they picture me in their heads and think of all my accomplishments in life. your movies are truly amazing and inspirational. a movie is supposed to feel real and relatable, and yours do, i just hope to someday be apart of that. i hope to accomplish as much as you have. you are truly a person to look up to, not because of your fame, but how you got to it. you weren’t born into the wealth or the acting career or already famous when you were born. you made a name for yourself and did it on your own. i just hope to get an opportunity to someday be able to work with you. 0 Reply April 1, 2013
Yolanda HendersonMr. Perry, life taught me that I had to love my neighbor even when I didn’t feel like it, because I found out early on that I needed God’s grace, mercy, and favor to overcome all the adversities life had threw my way at an early age. God has placed so much inside of me and now I’m on a journey learning how to allow what is on the inside manifest on the outside. Once you understand that God allowed us (me) to endure all those adversities not to destroy but to produce what He (GOD) had placed inside even before we were born, you start seeking the meaning of things instead of being held in a stagnated place in time. I am not a actress but I do have a story. I’d really like you to be my mentor. I will graduate May 10, 2013 with a Master in Clinical Social Work, my area of interest is Trauma and Resilience. I am the first in my family to ever go to college let alone earn a Master’s degree, but it’s not for me I know that God wants me to use my gifts to help others over come their adversities. Even though I can’t buy my ring, pictures nor do I have the proper clothing to get started I know that I am on the right path. Your movies have blessed and helped me along the way while I have been on this six year journey. I basically wanted to say thank you for walking in you destiny by doing so it has helped me to walk in mine. I pray the blessing and the favor of God continue to rain down on you.Yolanda Henderson University of Houston all praises be to GOD for without HIM I am nothing! 0 Reply March 31, 2013
Sasha FaithTyler Perry…where do I start; My name is Le’Sasha Faith Jemison but I go by Sasha Faith. I’m a pretty 5’7, average build, 22 year old African American female. I’m currently attending Western Kentucky University in efforts to be a Pharmacist, but I would much rather act like a Pharmacist than to actually be one; going to school was just my “plan B.” Acting is and forever will be my passion and love. My talent is raw and untouchable. I take criticism well and I’m always looking for ways to improve my craft. I take advantage of any opportunity to shine that’s given to me. I love the attention and I feed off of other peoples energy, which I think helps capture the realness in my performances. I’ve done several little acting projects within my community, but something always seems to prevent me from continuing on with my dreams. Although I feel that my purpose in life is to perform for others I think the reason why I was unable to succeed previously was because it was not my time. I pray every night that God’s will for my life be done, and I’m hoping that he may use me through one of your productions to achieve his will. I’m a “go-getter” and a hard worker and if you decide to take a chance with me I PROMISE TO GIVE YOU MY ALL!!! 0 Reply March 31, 2013

Im 24 but I look younger; like 17 or 18. I want this opportunity to start my acting carreer because Im currently in the military and although it provides for me it’s not my passion. I love to make people laugh and be the center of attention…so I got stand up of acting. Please help me make it acting. Thanks and God bless. 0 Reply March 30, 2013

Akosua BatesMr. Perry,I would love to be a part of your project with the OWN Network. As a teenager, I loved the performing arts, it allowed me to be someone different and think different than dealing with the reality around me. I found my creativity and confidence in acting in high school plays, and being a part of a local performing arts organization. I even was casted for the movie “A Dangerous Mind”. I was then casted in other plays like, “The Great White Throne Judgment” , and “Tambourines to Glory”, and I loved it. I found that when I wasn’t at my happiest in life until I went to participate or help develop, volunteer or attach myself in some way to a local perfomring arts organization, or attended an acting camp. I even attempted to open a charter school in Washington, DC for performing arts, and helped a friend who is playwrite in CA doing very well. All that to say, I would love the opportunity to be a part of something that will be great, and be around the best teacher and mentor in this field and perfect a craft that I find myself having to have in my life at some level. I love to act, just haven’t seen anything that excites me enough to want to take a leap, but this found me. 0 Reply March 29, 2013
Scarlette WimberlyMy name is Scarlette Wimberly..I am 38 years old and I reside in Georgia..Please read my story below and this is why I feel that I would make a great cast member for your new series…Thx and I look forward to hearing from you!!!From Ruin to Redemption, this rising Singer/Songwriter & Actress loves the Lord with all of her heart, mind, body and soul..Her life’s story is what has brought her this far..Just in 2012, she has taken the theatre and music industry by storm by performing in major cities.. She started out as a local actress, by performing lead starring roles with Tofany Entertainment in their hit stage productions of “Being in Love Ain’t Easy” & “When Loving You Hurts Me 2”.She is also a finalist in this season of “America’s Got Anointing” Gospel Singing Platform which is currently taping it’s 2nd season and is televised on Preach The Word Worldwide Network out of Tallahassee, Florida. It was after those performances she decided to travel to Atlanta at the urging of one of her relatives to audition for internationally known playwrite T.Y. Martin. In August 2012, she performed at the Fabulous FOX Theatre in T.Y. Martin’s stage production “Biblical Principle”, where she had the opportunity to work opposite with Grammy Award Winner, R&B Sensation Ann Nesby (David E. Talbert’s “What my Husband Doesn’t Know”, Tyler Perry’s “I Know I’ve Been Changed” & the motion picture “The Fighting Temptations”).In August 2012, she performed in Las Vegas, NV at the 2012 Hoodie Awards in the “Singing Your Way to the Hoodies” Contest (in which she shared the stage with R&B Crooner Anthony Hamilton and R&B Legend Charlie Wilson), which is sponsored by Comedienne, Family Feud game show host, T.V. talk show host and radio personality, Steve Harvey. In September 2012, she is scheduled to perform on the New Artist Showcase of the Atlanta Gospel Music Choice Awards as well as being one of the nominees for the “Best New Artist” at the Atlanta Gospel Music Choice Awards. In November 2012, she is scheduled to perform at the Beacon Theatre on Broadway in New York City with Misty Patton in her upcoming stage production “One Day too Late” which will also be coming very soon to a theatre in a city near you.On Valentine’s Day 2013, in Atlanta, Ga. she is scheduled to star alongside R&B Artist Dave Tolliver of Men @ Large, Sheneka Adams and Marvin Vance in the hit stage production “5 Reasons a Man Won’t Marry You” written & directed by W.T. Jones Studios. Also in April 2013, in Atlanta, she will be starring in T.Y. Martin’s international hit stage production “Color of My Skin”.She will tell you that even though all of this seemed to have happened overnight, this is only GOD showing up and showing out in her life, when she thought that her life was torn beyond repair. She has even felt that giving up was the only way out. There are plenty of actors and actresses out there who are more seasoned and experienced than she is, and some are still trying to get in the industry. Her testimony tells the story of the millions who didn’t make it, but she’s one of the one’s who did. 0 Reply March 29, 2013

WillieHello Mr.Perry I am a huge fan of all your work! No matter what you always seem to make me laugh or learn something new through your show, plays, or movies. I like the idea of this show and I would really love to have a role in it. I am 14 years old, male, African American, and making people laugh is my specialty.I take acting classes at my school and I put 110% into any acting performance that I do. I put my heart and soul into acting and I know I have what it takes. Now I know you most likely won’t be reading this but if you do. Just know that my dream is to work with you whether it is on a movie or show. Landing a role on this show or any show or movie of yours would make my Grandma, and my Dad proud. I’m very persistent and I don’t give. So whether I land a role on this show or not I know you will make it very entertaining. But I know in my heart that this could be my big break. So thank you Tyler Perry for even letting me comment on the idea you have for this show, and hopefully I can work with you. Working with you would mean the world to me. 0 Reply March 27, 2013

Amanda MorrisTo Whom it May Concern:My name is Amanda Morris and I am 23 years of age. Currently, I am employed as a Licensed practical Nurse and in school for Registered Nursing. Although I love helping people, my passion has always been to become an actress. I’ve wanted to pursue this dream of mine from a young age, but my parents sheltered me and would not let me try. I had a cousin recently that passed and what i admired about him was the fact he died happy, living his dreams of baking the best cakes and cupcakes, no matter what anyone had to say. I thought to myself, I want to be like my cousin when I get older. As I’m living on my own and realizing over the years that you only live once and you should not let your dreams pass you by, I am looking for various opportunities to help my dreams become a reality. I believe I would be a great addition to Tyler Perry’s Love Thy Neighbor because I adapt to my environment, I’m a hard worker and will give you nothing less than 150% passion and hard work. Thank you for your time. 0 Reply March 27, 2013

April WintersWhy I should be considered. I am a women, A Queen full of determination as I strive to enjoy the fulfillment of my life. Determined never to give up. A woman raised to fear the Lord. Give adoration to our father who gives strength and life. I am like an OX, I pull threw Obstacles. Burdens set in my mist, but my faith makes me strong. I am loving and caring. I am a nurturing woman. My hands extend help to the hurt, lost and wounded. I am a leader who stands for right. I don’t allow my pains and wounds to define me. My stern face is of strength. My voice represents power. Get it not misunderstood; my voice does not symbolize an angry black woman, but a strong Queen, a born leader. Respect, loyalty, morals, values, and integrity are my friends. Insecurities can’t stop at my door for I know my woman’s worth. I am a humble woman yet I am not obedient to control. I am motivated on daily basis. Overcoming brick walls that try to suppress me. Moving closer to my accomplishments. Great friendships are important to me. A strong man stands beside me, complimenting my development. Embracing my strength, my courage, my love, my Nubian ways for I know who I am. I am a woman full of grace. I am April Arlishar Winters. 0 Reply March 27, 2013

Ryan Jordan ReedName: Ryan Jordan Reed ethnicity: Costa Rican/Barbados/Mexican/ African American Mother :Costa Rican/Barbados Father: Mexican/ African American Age 18 Sex: male Hight: 6ft 1inch Weight: 180 Body build: lean/ Atheletic Skin tone: Light eye color: Dark Brown/ grayish tent Hair Type: Curly/wavyI think actors are like colors, some are bright and vibrant while other are dark and mysterious. I belive that their are some people who have the ability to maintain a constant energy and excitement making them into those bright blue, yellow, and pink colors. While other have that natural dark and intriguing vibe about them giving them that dark purple, deep red or intense blue coloring. In a tv show, movie, or play people are looking to see all of the colors of the rainbow collide in order to have a well put together show, and to my knowledge finding aspiring actors who are hybrids of those talents is not simple to come by.Not everyone can just jump straight out of a 9 to 5 job and into Hollywood (metaphorically speaking) and become a Will Smith or a Denzel.Iv’e learned in my 18 years that endless you have been envolved with cinema since your childhood or endless you have a family who has an intrest in that and has been training you for your big break since your childhood, your chances of success are few to none. Unfortunately im one of those people who come from that back round. Im the only person in my family who has ever thought about acting or singing or even just true success. I mean quite frankly iv’e been an entrepreneur since I was a kid. Growing up I learned nobody gives a damn about you endless you have something to offer them, so needless to say I had to learn quick about what people were looking for and how I could meet those expectations. So I practiced everything I could in all spectrums of entertainment and buisness including acting, singing, dancing, art, poetry, modeling, song writing, rapping, music producing ext. I mean I figured that it’s best to be as well rounded as I can be so whenever the opportunity presented it’s I was as ready for it as possible. My whole life iv’e been self motivated to be better than the people I was surrounded by, to uncover what it meant to be a self made millionaire or a successful entrepreneur.Iv’e read a couple of Tyler Perry’s, Will Smith’s, Denzel Washington’s biographies and took from them that the most important thing to success is just to start with your dream and work on it, as if it was your last hope. Ive lived my life with an attitude that I was going to try to live my life as hard as I can and that I would try to reach for the stars in anyway I could. 0 Reply March 26, 2013

Jeffrey Scott WolcottWhen I was interviewed by my acting teacher in Atlanta she asked “Why I wanted to get into acting?” My reply was simple – When I was five years old there were two things that interested me; flying jet airplanes and acting. I made a very fine career in business aviation for over 30 years and had the opportunity to travel around the world and work for some very interesting people including several well know celebrities. It was a learning experience about people, behaviors, and mannerisms. I knew that acting was about being in the moment for the actor to be believable, otherwise it is an act, and if the audience sees an act they will know immediately. So I set out on a new path by taking acting lessons 3 times a week, and after sometime I went out on auditions for theater and completed the roles. During this time of study, I filled in doing background acting for several films produced in the Atlanta area. Shortly after getting some experience, I auditioned for student films and secured the principal roles. Now, I would like to have an opportunity to fullfil another experience by working on this project with you. Thank you an advance for your consideration.Jeffrey Scott 0 Reply March 24, 2013

Sharetha JacksonI am Sharetha Jackson from the state of Michigan. I should be considered for the Love Thy Neighbor project because I have always had the passion to act and always will. I have had a few obstacles along the way. As I continue to have faith to do what God has planned for me I will not give up. Actually, through the grace of God acting saved my life on 12-15-93 when I was pregnant with my twins, kidnapped, throat cut twice and I had to act like I died! Acting as if I died in the forest helped to save my life and the life of my twin baby girls.I was previously in local plays. I continued my education with my Associates, Bachelor and Master degrees. Many years later domestic violence almost cost me my life. I am pursuing my dreams of acting. I am willing to relocate out of Michigan to pursue my dream of acting. I am a strong African American woman who will not give up!!I would appreciate the opportunity to share my God given natural talent. Thank you, Sharetha Jackson 0 Reply March 22, 2013
