KimarieI am writing this because I always lose my passion, as it hasn’t taken me anywhere. I am extremely modest and I feel that it’s what has held me back. I think being on this show would let me accept and be proud of my talents. I do vocal impressions of Xtina, Jewel, Macy Gray, and Carrie Underwood. My voice in my own songs, however, always varies depending on what song it is. I want to do this show to find an identity of my own. Rich HennessyMy name is Richard Hennessy. I’m 22 years old from Carteret, NJ. Well, my hometown is Carteret, NJ. The current city that I reside in is Sewaren, NJ because about 8 months ago my house caught fire damaging mostly everything that my family and I owned. We had to relocate due to the destruction the fire caused. Many people from Carteret came to our aid in such a difficult time and we are much appreciative of all of their assistance during such a traumatic time. But what has really gotten me through these tough times was my passion for singing.. It has been my avenue to de-stress and forget the struggles that my family and I have gone through. I started my younger years off as full-blown athlete never really expressing my musical side. It wasn’t until my freshman year in high school where I stepped out of my comfort zone and instead of trying out for the basketball team, I auditioned for the school musical. It changed my life. I discovered my passion was music and singing.. Sending me forward to take vocal lessons and become even more involved with musical theater just so I can have an outlet to release this music inside of me. Recently, since the fire I have found myself managing the rebuilding of my house and other obstacles keeping me from pursuing my dream. Many people around believe that this is just a hobby for me, but deep down, I know this is much more than that. I’m ready to share with the world my passion and artistry. TyHi. My name is Ty, I am 15, and I feel at peace when I sing. I am a tenor and would love to study classical vocal in college. I have had a rough year and I hope this may be the opportunity to regain some joy and confidence in myself. I just returned from my 6th trip to Shriners Hospital. I had surgery there to reconstruct my right leg. Between 6th and 7th grade my leg started turning and eventually ended up being 70 degrees rotated out. After seeing 5 different doctors in Tulsa with different ideas of what was wrong, I found the most awesome Surgeon at Shriners. I had surgery on May 6th of 2012 and spent last summer in a wheelchair, then a walker, to a cane, to finally walking on my own by the end of July. Following that ordeal, I suffered severe anxiety attacks. I am doing virtual school now and am finally back to feeling like myself. A kid with ADHD, Anxiety Disorder, but I’m me. DestinyHello, im destiny and im almost 14 years old. i have dark brown hair and eyes. my family and i had originally lived in MI, but we recently moved to GA. im an 8th grader at middle school. i have my mom, dad, sister, and two brothers- one of which, has a mild heart condition. I grew up listening to Elvis Presley, Johny Cash, and Patsy Cline. My heart and passion has always been through music. When I was 9 I would practice my vibratto since I didn’t know how. Then from age 11 to 12 I would sing karaoke at the mall. I knew I loved singing and being on stage but never had enough confidence in myself to think I could actually pursue my dream of becoming a music artist.Throughout junior high and high school I was always the shy awkard girl. My favorite class was choir. I would completely come out of my shell and I would visit with people before we would sing. I ended up trying out for a solo my junior year and I was so excited I got it! I went home telling my dad and my sisters and then the next day my music teacher told me she had to give it to a senior because of seniority. I was so sad and hurt I didn’t think it was fair. What can you do though right, lifes not fair. I got over it.Five years after HS I met my future husband, Greg He is the love of my life. I worked for the state as a intern as an office assistant. I ended up pregnant and had a baby boy and then applied as there receptionist. Long story short I got the job! Then a year later was bumped out of my position due to budget cuts. I went on four job interviews after leaving the state. I didn’t get hired. I turned to music to focus on having that accomplishment of working hard and achieving my goals, it kept me from not being depressed. I went online and started singing on myspacekaraoke, then karaokechannel, and currently started on Singsnap so I can meet new people and sing duets with them for fun! My amazing husband pays for my music I post online. I just had my second child on Dec 5. I have had the dream of becoming a singer for as long as I can remember but never really had the courage to go for my dream. Now that I am getting older I am realizing that you should always follow you dream no matter what age you are. I am not your typical looking idol I’m 5’3 and I will just say that I am not 120 lbs. I’m as white as can be with brown hair and brown eyes. I really don’t think that your look should really matter it should be about your talent and what you can bring to the public. I feel that I can with stand the trials that can be thrown at me because I have lived and been through hardships. Nicole Fitzgerald PhillipsHello! My name is Nicole Fitzgerald Phillips, I am a writer and singer who more importantly is a thirty year old engaged mother of two girls. I been leading a secret life dreaming of preforming, writing and singing. I am a woman who has overcome every obstacle life has thrown me, not that it has always been done gracefully, but nonetheless we have survived and continue to thrive. I had the typical highschool experience, friends, sports, chorus and strong academics until October of my junior year. I was 16 and found out that I was pregnant. I decided to keep the baby and ditch the guy! KayLeigh, who will soon be 13, is the joy of my life, a life that now had forever changed course. I graduated highschool with honors and attended a local college. My father, who was my rock, then went through a lfe threatening battle with cancer soon after. During his treatment I got engaged and pregnant again by the time I was twenty I had two girls, was married, and finding out that the man I married had a serious addiction to drugs and alcohol. I left him to protect my children. Now 22 I was a single mom and had to make ends meet. Work and life took a very different path than what I had once dreamed of, but hey, that’s life! Now, I am 30, driving to my oldest to softball, basketball, or volleyball practices and games and my youngest to vocal, art, and talent competitions. I was not perfect, I didn’t do it all correct but I have always put my children first. It is a wonderful life to be KayLeigh & Khloe’s mon but It would be nice to be Nicole! Ashley V.I may not have been the one who has been singing since I was young but I know that it’s all I want to do now. My mom had told me that I always had music in me but I didn’t foresee it to be a passion of mine. In middle school my mom put me in this summer program that taught the kids that went about sea life and then they took us to sea world shortly after. At that point I felt that my dream was lying somewhere between the lines of marine and aquatic life. I had chose what I wanted to be: a marine biologist! When I entered my high school life I had taken dance for my fine arts credit to graduate and then began discovering that I had a hidden talent that no one knew let alone did I know myself. So I had decided to go further into what I was able to do and ended up in quite a few theater productions. After sophmore year had started I was in drama classes and got put in the schools play . I had also teamed up with one of my friends from freshman year and we both got together and created a dance team for our newly built school.but of course my grades were not perfect so they told me I couldn’t dance for them. But that didn’t stop me from dancing. I then made a crew for those who didn’t make the dance team and no matter how good they were at dancing our how bad they were at doing their thang I wanted them to feel like they could do anything. I also started to think what else I could do. While I was in my 9th grade dance class this girl taught me how to party leona lewis’ better in time on piano and after I got used to it I thought I would add the lyrics but I told myself that I couldn’t do it because I can’t sing. For christmas of 2011 I got a keyboard and practiced with the lyrics while I played and realized I found another talent inside of me . My mom and her fiance own their own karaoke biz so they go all around the city to play and to sing for the people that like to hear them sing (theyre really good) well I went to some of their shows and the people were telling my mom.to put me on american idol or something like that and told me that I have to go on american idol. Sandra BrothersHi! Singing has always been my number one passion, as many others also. When I was very young, I used to hang microphones from my ceiling fan and sing for hours on a little 4 track cassette tape player and did so singing and dancing for sometimes 8 hours a day and didnt want to do anything else. As I got older, I realized that I have a really good voice so I joined a rock band, but quit very shortly after because I was afraid of being judged on stage. Soon after that I became very ill with something even doctors could not figure out and was mostly bed ridden for 4 years. In that time, all I had was my music. Every time I would sing a song sitting at my laptop, just to sing something, anything, I would cry and couldn’t even get through the song, thinking that I have lost all this time wasted on being sick I could have been making songs and become an inspiration to others. I haven’t had much opportunity come my way, and am too poor to record the songs I have written, but I go out to karaoke constantly hehe! I am well known locally for me singing very well everyone keeps telling me to get on a show, and some others tell me they want to promote me, so here I am! I would be so honnered to be considered for something like this. I’m emotional just thinking about the idea lol!! Music, and singing is and always has been my drug of choice. I’ve never even tasted alcohol ever! Music is my counsler, my muse, and I would love to be able to take my voice and use it to communicate through not just words, but feeling, on an inspirational level. However, during my sophomore year of college I was heartbroken by hearing the events of the war. I felt that I needed to do something more than simply pray. So I made the decision to enlist into the army. After serving two years I was medically retired this past August 2012. However, instead of using this time to complain and through a pity party I have decided to change my name to “Musical Warrior” and pursue my dreams as a singer. Queen Latifah has been an inspiration to me because of her poise and genuine attitude through interviews. In my fantasy world I always saw her as my “mom”.
