Courtney ColeHi, my name is Courtney and I’m 17. I’m from a small town in Florida known as Niceville. I’ve been singing since I was born I guess you could say. Its in my blood. My parents had always tried to get me up on stage as a child but I always had the worst stage fright. I began singing in my schools chorus in kindergarden and have remained there to this day. I began getting solos and loved the attention I got. That’s when I began singing in sports bars doing Karaoke. I remember the first time I ever did. The adrenaline rush was so crazy. The audiences reaction however felt great. They all went crazy saying I was the next American Idol. They even went to congratulate my parents on my voice. I’ve dreamt of being that teen idol that little kids could lok up to. Not only do I sing for myself, I’m trying to be discovered for my family. We’ve recently run into some financial issues and I may not show it, but my family means the world to me and I would love to help out to the best of my abilities. Not only do I sing for them but I sing for myself and for my brother who got the chance but was unable to continue. He was killed and even he knew I would go far in life with my voice. I’m Fourteen, but let me assure you, that I’m completely serious about this. I believe a person’s voice is one of their most powerful aspects. It’s not just the music that makes the song live and breathe, it’s the voice. I remember the first time I heard a great singer, not okay or good, but GREAT. The way the voice wrapped around me in an almost welcoming embrace. Chilling me with its power, warming me with the whole-ness it possessed. And when it silenced, it lingered within me in a way that could only be considered magical. And I thought, “I wanna be that voice. I want to be able to show the emotion, not just say it.” I remember how I would describe my dreams to my peers. How they’d laugh at me when I told them that I wanted to be famous. To sing songs with meaning. “You have a beautiful voice-yeah. But SERIOUSLY, you aren’t skinny. And to be famous, you gotta be skinny.” Those are the words that stuck with me longest. So what? All I can say is when there’s something that you Love doing so much and it not only brings you Joy but it brings Joy to others, I’d say that’s your calling. I’ve had times that I wanted to give up and times that I did give up. Singing is in me and I always find my way back to it. In my life I’ve been surrounded by people who were gifted with music. It definitely runs in my family. Now that I’m older and now that I myself have kids I want to be an example to.them. I want them to see first hand that anything you set your mind too is possible regardless of obstacles. I keep.myself surrounded by musicians and network with ppl and there’s pressure with that. Daily its a struggle I have with myself to not give up because the artists closest to me are doing shows, putting out albums and even touring with Big Name Artist.Even after competionaer competition and audition after auditon I know this is what I’m supposed to be doing. I’m always doing Karaoke in my hometown and I love that people enjoy me anytime I perform and they all are behind me and push me to continue and do even bigger things and that’s a wonderful feeling. KynsiHi, my name is Makenzie Weber, but I go by Kynsi. I’m 13, but music is my life. I’ve been singing ever since I could talk, and now my friends are saying that I should try to get on The Voice and The X-Factor. I think this is more interesting though. I am very passionate about singing. I tend to like country more than hip-hop, pop more than heavy metal (which I do not like at all.) I write my own songs and when I sing them, people ask if I’m playing a song off of iTunes. Well, some of the time. I’m a very down to earth girl, who has been through hell and back. Music saved me then, and I hope that I can share my music with my country. I’m 5 ft. 5 1/2 inches tall. I have a mix between hazel and chocolate eyes, with naturally long curled eyelashes. I’m tan, between olive and gold toned. My hair is reddish brown, the roots a deep chocolate brown. I’m slender, with a half hourglass figure. Half because I’m not fully matured yet, if you get what I mean. I’m not the most popular girl in school. I could really care less about One Direction (no offence meant!) I don’t know the people, and the music is what I care about, not the person. Sorry, a little off track here. I’m not the best looking, nor the smartest, nor do I think I have the best voice. I just want to see if I can make it, and if I can, then I want to see what I can do to inspire people to chase their dreams, like I am. I have a loyal support group behind me, my friends and family. I’ll need help now and then (Probually a lot more than that!) but I’m probully one of the most determined girls you’ll meet. I tried starting Youtube postings, but It’s not the same as performing in front of people. I am very good with getting stuff, lyrics picking up on them in 10 minutes is the type of person I am. tanishawhy i should be considered? why should anyone be considered, for thier drive and passion for what it is that they love the most. i personally love to sing. it brings the best and the worstout of me. all i acn see is music in my future. when i try to think of something else lol it knida mmakes me mad. i get frustrated. when i listen to the radio, i can feel myself behind every word as if it were me singing and not them. when i watch performances, it brings tears to my eyes because my heart longs to be on a stage. whether im writing my own music or singing someone elses. because no mattter where the lyrics came from it means something to someone. music is in my soul and without it im not sure where i would be. all ive ever wanted was a chance. whether the out come is what i want or not, a chance to live something that seems so far from me, a dream. i dnt want it for the fame or the name . i want it because i love it. like a doctor loves to heal and make people better. in a way i feel the same way. music is my medicine and my doctor. and that will never change. and if i dont catch your eye it will remain so. i would just love the chance to share the same love that i have for music with everyone else. my mind and heart is open and ready for it all ready for anything. ready to join my love. and to be around others that have that same love. others that i can grow and learn from. just like the doctor i could never stop learning and growing. take my voice to places i never knew were possible. and i speak to you as humbly as i know how. this is what my heart has always desired. but im goin to stop now lol. cuz i cld probably go on and on. Rachel BockoverMy name is Rachel Bockover I grew up singing with my mom and four sisters in the northern CA mountains. I always knew I wanted to be a performer. When I was 17 I started writing songs and performed at my highschool graduation. I got to be pretty big stuff in my home town but theres only so far one can go without some kind of break so I auditioned to be on American Idol. Unfortuately I didnt make it onto the show. Next I tried The Voice, and again didnt get through. Each audition I do I learn a little more. I am most often told that I am hard to classify, or need to find more modern influences. Its hard to get your foot in the door in this bussiness for any one but when your different it can be even harder. Uniquness is encouraged but within certain peramiters. I just need some guidence to find my true voice as an artist. I know there is a place for me in this world. I know I have something to offer I just need a platform. I have never had any formal training and I have never had a mentor. More than anything I think thos things could make the difference for me. I hope you will consider me for your show. At the age of 10, I faced a huge tragedy that would change my life forever… my father died. For a year, I quit singing, and I started putting my feelings down on paper. My Dad always supported me with my singing he would always ask my sister and I to sing and he would give us money or sometimes candy for our performance.
