Morgan flettGrowing up the little mermaid had always been my favourite disney princess, I often thought that she was amazingly inspiring, and the fact that she was a sister to so many other mermaids, but still found a way to be different and stay true to herself was something that I though showed true bravery and shows she has great character, not only was her hair a big reason of why she stood out, but another was because she had dreams, and no matter how big or different or impossible her dreams are.. She never gave up, she did what she had to do to obtain her goals, and in a way, if we all had that kind of thought I imagine we could get fairly far in life, not only was her dream obserd and unheard of from a mermaid.. But She also wanted to find love, and the fact that she stayed true to herself through all of that was inspiring.. I feel like I could connect to this role in so many ways on somany levels, because I know how hard it is to fit in, when your born to stick out, and the fact that I have sisters and a family that is very difficult to deal with at times, would make it easy for me to connect to this character and this role, I’ve also had my hair died bright red, since she is my role model, so I know that I can work with that colour and that It would be a dream come true..I hope u consider me! Ariel has been my favourite princess since forever because although she had many other sisters, she strove to be different. EmilyHi my name is Emily and I’m 15 years old. As a child who grew up with Disney, the Little Mermaid has always my been favorite Disney princess movie. The fact that she swam and sang all day long seemed like a dream com true to little me. And now I found out that you are re-making the Little Mermaid I couldn’t resist putting my name in. I’ve been singing and acting for about 7 years now. I’ve been in many productions from a local play group ad have a good amount of stage experience. I’ve played may different roles including a munchkin from the Wizard of Oz, choir in My Fair Lady, a bad guy in a re-make of Cheaper By the Dozen, the reporter from Annie, and I was just casted the part of older Nala from the Lion King. I have dark brown hair and deep brown eyes, which I know is the exact opposite from Ariel but I would do just abut anything to make my dream a reality. I understand that you probably have a lot of really talented artists and actors and actresses that are very qualified to play the role. I just hope you deeply consider me for any role. Other than Ariel, I would also be very comfortable playing Ursula on land, Miranda, I believe her name was, being that I have some experience playing the bad guy. Lian CallBeing not full white, as what most shows are looking for, I haven’t been in much publicized productions outside my school and local theater. I live in the Oakland hills in California, USA. I’m half white and half filipino, 14 years old, 5ft2in, 115lbs, brown hair (but willing to dye) and light brown eyes. I know I don’t stand out compared to everyone else who has green or blue eyes or red hair or a blonde, but I sure am rememberable. I can guarantee that. Or your money back. That sounds weird let me clarify: I would run up to a person on the street that seems sad and start singing (horribly) and dance just so I could give them a story they can tell their friends and laugh at me. Kiki TownleyHello. The little mermaid has been apart of my life since I was 3 and first watched it. My life, my room and my spirit is based around mermaids – and not in a way you’d originally think. I love the concept, the myth and the idea of mermaids and their history. It’s always fascinated me. I find it ironic how I feel the freedom, passion, tranquility and adventure within water, and have always desired the life of a mermaid, and Ariel would want to be one with the land. I guess we always want what we can’t have? however this, I need. I don’t aim to ‘suffice” for a project, I always strive for above and beyond, and challenging all aspects of my mind to convince itself it is the character i’m given. As well as using Stanislavsky’s emotional recall. The thought of getting this audition makes it difficult for me to type, my heart races, my mind feels conflicted with enthusiasm and anxiety; due to the underlying thought of I might miss out on this. I will do anything and everything to work with the prestigious crew of universal pictures and the one and only, Sofia Coppola !!! EmiliaI remember when I was a little girl and my parents had bought me the album from the “The Little Mermaid” and I would play “Part of your world” on repeat until they got crazy while I pretended to be Ariel and when I no longer was allowed to play the CD, I rushed up to the TV and watched the movie instead. Growing up my biggest dream was becoming a mermaid and even now at 21 I am still incredibly fascinated by them and often dream of how it would be to be able to live under the surface! I also remember how I always tried, and in the end learned, how to swim like a mermaid in the water as me and one of my friends pretended we were mermaids living in the ocean.Ariel was my favourite princesses since she was the one I could really connect to. Her carving for knowledge, the longing to discover and her bubbly personality. Originating from the southern parts of Sweden I am the epitome of a Scandinavian, with a pale complexion, blonde hair, blue eyes and I am standing 5’5 tall, with an hourglass build and with a perfectly normal weight. Growing up I also early on got introduced to the original story written by HC Anderson and to this day I still cry when I read how the end at which the Little Mermaid chooses to be turned into sea foam instead of running her princes happiness.My earlier experience with acting is slim. I have only acted in a few school plays, still with just the chance I truly believe I could make this character come to life, for Ariel has been a part of me for as long as I can remember.
