Xena LewisI love this show . So much. It’s interesting and because its in Signlanguage. A show where me and my family can watch. Both of my parents are deaf. So I’m a professional at signing. Signlanguage was my first language as a baby at the age of 8 months. So you won’t probably need to teach me. I speak Spanish and English also and of course Signlanguage . Nicole PerkinsHello, I feel I should partake the role in Switch at Birth because to me, it’s a start. I am fully deaf but do have bilateral cochlear implants. I speak and hear very well. I have always dreamed of becoming an actress, however, I had to put that on hold because I’m deaf. Film industry is a very harsh and competitive career to be in. I need to have my college degree on my back pocket in case I don’t break in, well, in case I don’t have a promising role like Brad Pitt, Michelle Rodriguez, and hell, Marlee Matlin. My point is, I’m already struggling with convincing agents to represent me or to land a role because the minute they are confused that I’m deaf and speak well; they are more concern about getting an interpreter. I don’t need one, just get the director in my face and I’ll do my job by delivering EXACTLY how the director want me to be. Now hes a Cab driver, Barly making any money for my family to get by, we pay the bills and food stamps pay the food. Yeah people are more poor than my family and its hard on them too but my dad is strugling. Some times he makes $80 a week sometimes $600 but that is not enough to pay the bills and keep food on table and clothes on my familys back, he wont even buy himself a pair of shorts. I want to make money help my family get by and not struggle. and in this economy he cant find a better job, hes searched and searched. to make matters worse he was involved in an accident because a diver behind him wouldnt stop for a abulence on Christmas Eve so now were paying doctor fees which my dad is stressing even more. I just want tell help my family out. And babysitting isnt going to help at all. Acting is my dream and its pretty good money and if I get far in acting I can buy my parents a nice house, Get my mom good doctors to find out what is making her so sick…. We have a 5 your old son who was born deaf but we had him implanted in his left ear with a Cochlear Implant when he was 15 months old. He loves having his picture taking and loves being center stage all the time. We just currently signed him with a talent agency in NY. He tells us and them all the time that he wants to be on TV. He is in the mirror singing and acting daily. He loves music, so we enjoy watching the band practice, seeing how much music brings joy to both the deaf community and the hearing is amazing. It would be great to see a cochlear implant on this show to educate others in the world. I started to really look up to Bella Thorne when her program on the Disney Channel started called ‘Shake It Up’. I think this was because she is a teenage girl, the same as me. My hair completely fell out within 3 weeks, and came back 2 years later. This was caused by bullying. Deidre RosenbergerI just might be the oldest fan replying to this talent search request. Switched at Birth has got to be one of the most impressive dramas on TV today. The stories within the story line are riveting and draw viewers in of every age. As a parent of four I relate with the Kennesh family desperately trying to do what’s best for their children while walking that fine line of what’s right for both of their girls. As a one time divorced mother, I feel compassion toward Regina and her struggles and guilt of being a single mom and the difficulty forgiving Angelo for not believing in her. The teenage drama has been played out daily in my household while raising four children now ages 17 and up. (Three of which have special needs) I relate to the lack of knowledge that people have towards others that aren’t “normal” in today’s world. And I feel that fierce sense of desire to protect my children from that world’s cruelty.
