Serena Starring Jennifer Lawrence

Hot on the heels of her tremendous performance in the worldwide phenomenon Hunger Games, Oscar nominated actress Jennifer Lawrence is hard at work on what could be her next smash hit film. Lawrence will star in Serena with The Hangover star Bradley Cooper this spring. Casting calls are going on now for roles of all sizes. Are you ready to act alongside Katniss Everdeen?

Based on the highly acclaimed novel by Ron Rash, Serena is a reworking of one of  William Shakespeare’s most beloved stories Macbeth. Set in 1929, the film will follow married couple George and Serena Pemberton (Cooper and Lawrence)  as they travel to North Carolina to make their fortune in the timber industry. Serena’s drive and ambition make her a very valuable partner for George and proves to reinforce the passionate relationship between the two. Things soon take a turn for the worse as Serena learns that she cannot have children and she slowly begins a descent into madness that threatens to destroy everything that she and George have worked for. This is  a wonderfully complex project that will allow Jennifer Lawrence to truly spread her acting wings.     Hey! FIRST OF ALL, I STAND OUT! I KNOW I should be casted for this film not only because I have the looks, and talent, but my complete and 100% devotion to on the screen acting. It is hard to get discovered..but you have to start somewhere. Every audition I have been to I have made the cut..modeling..local acting..ect.     My name is Charlotte Morgan and I’m eighteen years old. I’m living in Traverse City, Michigan now before going to the New York Film Academy for acting. Acting is something I’ve always been passionate for although I’ve done my share of swapping back and forth between acting, modeling, singing, directing, and editing. I opened what I called my small “film company” when I was thirteen and did many small productions. I was a figure skater for five or six years where I performed in the show Annie and Greece on ice as well as competed in many competitions. Figure skating taught me how to perform in front of a crowd and not to be stage fright or anything. It gave me confidence. I modeled for two or three years and was able to meet a bunch of really cool people like being able to work with Bruce Dale of National Geographic. I quit film making and acting when I started traveling the country to play a competitive card game called Magic: The Gathering. Thanks to Magic I was exposed to another world and able to gain maturity and learn a lot as it’s one of most complicated (if not most) games in the world. I started going to film school at the career tech center and did a bunch of producing, directing, and editing and after my recent visit with the New York Film Academy I’ve decided I want to completely dedicate myself to acting.
