  1. Ashley Nicole Randall

Hello, I am Ashley Nicole. Music is my life. Growing up, my best friend was my uncle. He was such an astonishing musician. I remember always watching him play the piano or the drums. When I was 5 i recieved news that he was in a car wreck caused by a drunk driver. After the fact, I would always listen to his favorite songs to fall asleep to. It was usually Believe by Cher or Angel, Sarah McLachlan. My Uncle has been my inspiration to play, sing, and write music. I play the guitar, and some what the piano.
I have been played infront of multiple crowds; Talents shows, charity concerts, choir concerts. I enjoy playing for others because I feel as if i connect with my audiance.
I some day hope to have many fans that can relate to my songs, and i will do what ever it takes to get there. Thank you, for giving me this opertunity to submit my comment.

Please check out my Youtube channel, ashmusicrandall.
If you are really interested in listening to an original, just type Ashley Nicole Randall into the search box on Youtube. It should be the first video, recorded by Dax Morgan.
    Again, Thank You.

  2. Shanice

I am going to keep it short and real. I should be considered because I sleep and breathe music. I do not see myself doing anything else when it comes down to it. I love singing, songwriting, poetry, rapping, acting out parts of movies, etc. I really do not know what my life would be without the talents that God has blessed me with. I Am The Opening Act.

  3. chris stanley

I grew up in a modest house in the suburbs of Juanita Washington where coming home from school meant I would be hearing the sounds of my father playing his trumpet to Al Hurt or Miles Davis. I always went straight to my room to grab my guitar and play. You wouldn’t know from listening it had only been a year since my father began to teach me. At fifteen he would sneak me into bars so his friends could hear me “play the blues like a fifty-year old man,” he’d say. I would close my eyes and pretend I was playing a concert to a huge crowd.
At eighteen I moved out and headed straight to LA to find success in the music industry. I procured shows at a few venues but it wasn’t long before I found myself playing on street corners and living in my car. For some reason I thought I would have better luck in a different town, so I packed up and moved to Manhattan. Four years later however, I decided to return home.
I stayed in Seattle and found some moderate, local success in my twenties. I played side-stage at the Gorge before a Dave Matthews Band concert and have been honored to play in lake Chelan every fourth of July for the past 8 years for a huge crowd. And have played at countless local venues. Every year at every show, people ask me: why haven’t you made it yet?! I can’t believe you’re not huge?! You see – I’ve always been a little out of sync with the times. I grew up in Seattle in the 90’s but was playing blues, acoustic originals; I was covering Paul Simon, James Taylor, Dave Matthews…etc, instead of ‘grunge’. I’ve always wanted to do things the old fashioned way. To me, its ALL about the live performance. I’ve done some recordings and they’ve turned out ‘ok’ but – I’ve always had the drive to play live as much as I can and gain exposure – not from home recorded, you-tube posted music – but from finding a tour,/artist/someone/anyone, who believed in me enough to give me a shot to open for them.
I hope you check me out – my recordings are a compilation of things done at home, low budget….etc. They don’t really capture the energy/essence of ‘me’. I’m the kind of musician one would really need to hear live in order to get a real feel for my passion. I hope to have the opportunity to connect with you.
    Thank you,
    Chris Stanley

  5. Dana Carmel

Dana is a singer/songwriter whose latest CD “Validity” has just been released. She was fortunate to work with several amazing musicians on it, (including Jon Evans (Tori Amos), and Julie Wolf (Ani Difranco). She has played in some impressive venues in both San Francisco and NYC, where she currently resides. Her sound is both gritty (Fiona Apple) and fun (think Regina Spektor), and even has hints of Pearl Jam (one of her favorite bands ever!) She would be perfect for “Opening Act” because she has many original songs and continues to challenge herself by promising to write a song a week for the next year (and posting it on her website!)

  6. Rachel Boikai

  12. Butch Philips aka Phil Giacomantonio

How many submissions do you have to make for one to show up on this site, and how long does it take to moderate a submission????

  13. Gale Richards

I’m responding for my daughter, Antonina (Toni) Richards, who has a fantastic voice and totally deserves a chance to let others hear her and appreciate what a fantastic talent she is. She is at home singing country as well as contemporary . Toni has been singing and performing on stage since she was 5 years old and has never lost her love of music. Toni is a single mother who has not been able to move to follow her dreams because she made the decision to give her son as much of a stable upbringing that she could. She has a fantastic son and she has been a fantastic mother. He takes such pride in watching his mother sing and perform locally, and he would be thrilled beyond everything if she had just one chance to live her dream! I hope the producers give her this opportunity.

  15. Myra Baize

    Hey! 🙂
My name is Myra Baize, and I’m 16 years old.
Singing is my passion. I have been singing for as long as I can remember. There is nothing else, beside dancing, that I love to do more. Singing is an everyday habit for me. There is nothing any one can do to shut me up.
I’ve been in my school’s choir since 1st grade. My voice range can go from a 1st Soprano down to a 2nd Alto. I was also a 1st Soprano in 2 staged musical productions. In 2007, I sang the 1st soprano part in the choir for The Nutcracker. I also returned to sing the same part in 2010 for The Nutcracker.
I have been in many different talent shows, winning various places (1st, 2nd, 3rd place).
The stage is like a second home to me. When I’m on stage, there is nothing that can stop me. All my worries fade away. It’s like a calling, that I’m meant to be on stage. So, I guess you could say my stage presence is pretty good. :p
Being able to work with so many powerful people in the music industry, would be so amazing and honorable to me. I would be honored if I got to work with at least one of them.
I’ve always dreamed about making it big, so I can come back and help all those in need. When I was younger, I would always tell my mom that I would give to charity. That’s something I would do, if I ever got far in the music industry. I even promised myself that I would come back to my hometown and clean up the city park, and fix it up for the kids.
Thank you for your consideration! It is greatly appreciated!
    God Bless.
    -Myra

  32. Rebecca

There’s nothing I can really say that hasn’t been said before. I sing, mostly to my shampoo (that was until the day it fell and hit me in the head (true story)). I play guitar, and a little piano and bass. Acting is one of the funnest things I have ever done, and I write my own songs, about 15 or so. My voice isn’t extreme and my songs mostly only touch my heart, but on the off chance that someone else might enjoy my voice and my songs, I’d sure love to find out.

  34. Dana

My bestfriend, Emily Kyle, is not only an amazing, talented and unique singer, but she is also someone who is more than determined to achieve her dreams and pursue happiness and success in the one thing that has kept her through the ups and downs of her life… Singing. When she was only 13 years old her mom was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. After countless treatments, two years of radiation and chemo, and major brain surgery, the cancer spread and she passed away in June of 2010. Since then, her life and family dramatically changed…. Everything except for her love and passion for music and singing.
Unique and amazing are understatements when talking about Emily’s voice, her wide range in vocal pitches along with her soothing, peaceful, and extraordinary tone encapsulates and mesmerizes her audience immediately. Her ability to turn a dub-step, fast paced song sung by a male and turn it into an incredibly amazing, heartfelt, and breathtaking acoustic cover is purely astonishing. On top of this, Her power to play the guitar, the piano, and the drums only adds to her amazing talent as a performer. Emily pours her heart and soul into her music for it is her ultimate escape from reality and her true passion. I am not just saying all of this because I am her bestfriend, I am saying this because I have watched her grow as a singer, and as a person and it is clear to me, to our community, and to everyone who has heard Emily sing, that she is more than well-deserving of recognition for her astounding, rare, and unique talent.
Emily is actually on a community service trip in Costa Rica right now and we are trying to get her undiscovered talent exposed to the music world, so we put up a video of her singing “Too Close” on YouTube, and our goal was to reach 500 views by the time she gets back, but if she came back and I could tell her that she might be on TV and could potentially preform with big real time artists and get coached by one, it would literally mean the whole entire world to her and me… One thing that we believe in is to never give up, and to follow your dreams even when people tell you it’s impossible, because then it is up to YOU to make the impossible, possible, and this right here would be doing that for Emily. So please, I am begging you to PLEASE deeply consider her in your selection for artists for your show, I 100% assure you that she would not let you down.

  35. Jacqueline Hogg(H-oh-g)

Hi, my name is Jacqueline Hogg; I’m from Centreville, Va and I’m 18 years old. Ok so here it is, I think this show really is what I need. I’ve been singing my entire life, starting out in plays and musicals at school, different choirs since elementary school and performing as the opening act for events at my elementary school and middle school they would ask me to sing for. When I was 13 I wrote my first song “Honey” (copyrighted)which has been on the WMZQ radio station for new country artists. One of the producers at that time, Brice Johnson had heard my song and wanted to interview me on air, but the manager of the station said that wasn’t possible because I was unsigned. I recorded a demo CD that I had sent out to record labels, producers and publishers, but they all said they couldn’t receive unsolicited material. Since then I’ve been performing professionally at weddings, funerals, parties and other events. I’ve also been apart of the non-profit military organization Honor Flight Team for almost 5 years now. I sing for WWII veterans that are flown in from all over to visit D.C and the war memorials as they come out of the gate. I’ve written two other songs ” Never too Late”(copyrighted) and ” Together.” I’ve performed three times at the Kennedy center with my high school that was asked by the NSO to perform with them; twice for the Anti-Defimation League concert and once for the NASA Honorary Anniversary Concert. Recently , for over the last year I was being reviewed for a possible contract with Univeral Music by one of their talent scout consultants, and the day before I was scheduled to have my audition in front of H.B Barnum and the talent scout in his recording studios, that I had been preparing over a year for, was cancelled. She had seen me on YouTube inicially and had told me that I would have a breakout concert, then I would audition infront of Barnum and then finally for Universal. So I’ve had two very big opportunities and both had fallen through at the very last minute, and so what I really want is a chance for a real audition for a record deal after two tremendous disappointments. I feel like this is perfect for me and if you give me this shot, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. You can find me on YouTube under Jacqueline Priscilla, I will be attending Salem College, Winston -Salem, NC in the fall and the school has agreed to work with me in whatever goes on with my music; they will keep me enrolled even if there’s traveling involved. Thanks.

  36. Allyson Parker

All my life, i loved to sing. it’s a passion of mine that started back when i was five or six. I always wanted to be the center of attention. I was always putting on “concerts” for all of our family gatherings and such. It wasn’t till 3 years ago that i picked up my first guitar. I was determined to learn how to play the thing. So.. I did. I taught myself. And its something that is very special to me. Music and singing is a way of expression for me. I’m always putting videos on youtube and trying to spread my passion to others, but youtube is so big that i hardly get noticed. I would just love the chance to be able to live out my dreams of opening up for someone famous like carrie underwood or justin bieber.. hehe. A girl can only dream!

  37. JhaTori Jefferson

Singing is my passion. I have been singing since the age of 6. I started out singing in church and just ocassionally stopped. To some, music is just a sound or just words in a song. To me, its a life story from the artist to their fans. Its a story being told about the everyday struggles of anyone and themselves as artists. They are also human beings aside from being celebrities. The opportunity for me to open for a celebrity is a DREAM COME TRUE. If Im chosen I guarantee, the world will not be disappointed. God gave me this voice for a reason & Im going to use it for a good cause. I will never stop singing until I reach the place I want to be in my life. I appreciate you taking the time to read this……..thank you!

  41. Keri Walsh

Hi, this is Keri from Bristol Kids. I are performers and songwriters, and we would love to work with the amazing stylista Mary J. Blige, and famed Producer Antonia Armato. Nigel Lythgoe is cool, and we think the show will be a lot of fun. We released our new album Wireless Dreams on iTunes this summer, and everyone seems to love it. So far so good. We would love to be on the show.

    Best Wishes,
    Keri Walsh

  42. Rebecca

I would like to nominate my husband, Ryan. He’s such a character, always acting out crazy skits, using funny accents or cracking so-terrible-they’re-funny jokes! We have fallen into financial hardship, and he has unfortunately given up on his dream of singing and performing music in favor of working long hours at a local retail store. But I haven’t given up on him! Please take the time to check him out on YouTube: RyanThomasTrumpet, and please give him the one chance that was so sadly ripped away from him before he even got to take it.

  43. Gregory Dunston

Hey, whats up. This would be a great opportunity for me to get my music out to a larger audiance. I feel like I am what is missing in hip hop right now. I know the girls would love me most of all. I just need a chance like this to the world what I can do. I ha e been rapping for over 7 years now and have released several mixtapes. One listen and people will fall in love. let me know what you think after you listen to my music. Its as simple as this “I am the future”.

  44. CHeyenne NElson

I fell in love with singing and dancing as a baby, literatly. Before I could barley talk I started singing, before I could walk I started to dance. The first time I was on stage was in Boys and Girls club, and I knew that the stage was my home. Acting came along out of know were, I started doing plays in middle school. I have wanted this since for ever. I auditioned for so many things and made it but never had the time to pay. I don’t want to be famous just cause the money or the paparazzi. But only cause I want to make a diffrence in the fame community. Im 14 I dont play a lot of instruments, trying to learn the piano. I try to make song but I can’t. If I need to be in a group with girls I will I love working with other people.

  45. Satin Dollz

    Hello,
We are the Satin Dollz, a 1940s USO Entertainment act. We sing, tap and put on a very high-energy show. Based in Hollywood, we have toured to the UK and across the United States with our act but have yet to really make this a full time job for us. We would appreciate the opportunity to audition and show you what we got! xoxo, Satin Dollz

  46. cheyanne

i love to sing it is my passion i am in middle school and i am involved in reg. choir (no audition) and show choir (auditioned) i should be on opening act because i think it would be a great time to share with everyone and i think it would be fun to do something like that i do admitt i do have a bit of stage fright but i am ready to get over that i have never written my own songs but im up for that challange i had a band with one of my best friends in 4th grade and her and i were lead singers it would also be a good surprise to my parents and family if i did make it because my mom and dad both love to sing.

  47. Catana McKim-Farmer

Would love to express my son’s musical talents as he and I write music and I sing. I am to old for your competition but still you just never know what can happen! Our song “Take Away My Breath” is a musical ballad for the broken. My son is the son of Rick Curtis who wrote songs and performed as an opening act for Jimmy Hendrics in Miami. I don’t want to see my son’s talents hidden under the “I wish list”. He has written 150 songs that he has in a notebook just like his father did. He also write music that is hypnotic! Don’t miss him, he is a genious who has CP and is always looked over because of his physical challenge.

simplicity, creativity and uniqueness like no other band i have heard or seen in a long time.
Check out their song “Sweet time” on You Tube. These guys need a break and are talented enought to make your show PROUD!

  51. Sierra Graham

Sierra Graham is a 17 year old singer/ song writer from Atlanta. She is her own show as she plays her ukelele and piano to her many songs. She is quite versatile in her abilities. She makes many covers her own as well.. She has done Eminem on the piano as well as Owl City on the uke.. Check out her facebook page- Sierra Graham- for many of her originals as well as a few covers. She’s been compared to the likes of Tori Amos but brings her own unique sound. 52. Alena

Hi My name is Alena Larie Walker and I am 21 years old. To be honest I feel I should be considered for this opportunity because it’s much more than just about music…it’s truly a dream of mines. I believe this gift of singing was given to me for a reason… and that is to share it with the world.Words can’t express how much of an honor it would be to work with mary j. blidge and to be able to work with opening act. I am extremely outgoing, I love the stage, I love the energy and most of all being in the moment and in that moment giving it all i’ve got.

  53. Nayla

    Hello,

I’m Nayla. I’m 21. I’m a singer, songwriter and dancer. I took singing and dancing lessons and i can play one instrument too. My music’s style is pop rock. I’m dancing hip hop, dancehall and oriental. As you see, I’m kind of open-minded about music. And what I really love best, is to get more and more challenges everyday ! That’s how life, and music, seem to me : adventure, fun and something, that really makes you going beyond your own limits ! My dream is to do what I love most every days : singing and dancing. I don’t wanna do my job anymore , until the wheel turns ! I’d like to live my dream right now ; and share with people, this overflow of emotions, and madness things I have in my head and in my heart ! Music makes me really alive and I just feel like, I’m really me when i’m singing, i’m that person i wanna be ! Be, in Opening Act will mean a lot for me..and if you give me that chance ; I’ll proove you, in every way I can, that you’ve made the good choice !

  54. Acedia Lechery

Hell. My name is Acedia Lechery. I am in a 5 piece Metal band from Big Bear California called Infrasonic Asylum. All of us are 18 except our lead guitarist who is 15 years old. We have been together for 3-4 years and are positive that this is what we want to do. The band that we want to open for is Avenged Sevenfold, who is also our biggest inspiration. I feel we should be on the show because metal has been overlooked by the mainstream society when it is a part of our culture. We are determined to become one of the biggest bands in the world and we plan to continue music till the day we all die. We have gave everything we can to this band and more. The feeling we all get being on stage is unlike any other feeling ever. We feel truly alive and happy to know we are doing what we love with the people that we love. and nothing in the world will change that. We all believe that music is THE MOST powerful thing in nature. No other thing i the world will you see thousands of people gathered in one place peacefully, the only thing that is universal other then the smile. even if we don’t get a chance to be on this show I can assure you we will prevail in becoming one of the biggest names in music. Nothing and no one ever take that away.

When I was 13 I wrote my first song “Honey” (copyrighted)which has been on the WMZQ radio station’s for new country artists. You can find me on YouTube under Jacqueline Priscilla. I will be attending Salem College, Winston -Salem, NC in the fall and the school has agreed to work with me in whatever goes on with my music; they will keep me enrolled even if there’s traveling involved. Thank you.

  58. Tyler

My name is Tyler AKA Tay… I need to be on this show because music is part of my life its in my core. 59. Aracellys Waithe

My name is Aracellys Waithe and I am currently a highschool senior. I am the creator of a Company called “CHOICE productions,” which is mostly based on music focusing on situations that hit home to teens in my generation. Within this company, there are skits/documetaries, videos, clothing(shirts), and music that are all based on teen life today, all produced, written, and directed by myself. I have a passion for dancing and Producing/writing. Since birth, I’ve been dancing, attending many classes, dancing in videos, and coming up with choreography to use in my videos. I was the head of a group called “Unexpected.” I performed at a program called “Bread N’ Roses,” for the elderly and helped them raise over $2,000. I was known as one of the best on the east side during a new dance movement called ” The Jerk” . I performed at two block associations solo. One being a battle, block vs. block competition, in which we won! I’ve participated in many school talent shows, and camp talent shows. I’ve also put choreography together for dance groups within my community for upcoming auditions. In terms of producing, I soon realized I had a nack for it when I turned 13. I came to notice that I was a lyricist. I began to write and look into programs for music making on line. I’ve also played many instruments, such as the keyboard, drums, violin, flute and F horn. I was apart of a Marching band called “The SMU,” and an orchestra in my middle school years. I was the drummer in a rock band called “Girls Night Out” and played the keyboard in another band called ,” New Thang.” I’ve always had the special ability to hear the small, quiet instruments in music that seemed non-existant to others. I soon came across a program called “FL Studio.” Being that I have had much experience with instruments directly, it was very easy for me to get started. Every night almost, I had about 4 different beats finished. I’ve done many remixs to songs by popular R and B artists such as Frank ocean and many old school artist like Group Home, Pete Rock, etc. I did a remix to “She” By Tyler The Creator for a history project in which I had to teach peers about a court case. I was the only student who decided to make an entire song and music video for that project and recieved the highest grade out of the of whole class. The grade being a 95. I’ve also written lyrics for peers in and also outside of school. I’ve performed at clubs, schools and center all over the city and currently, I’m looking forward to performing in many others! Now, still, making beats, writing, dancing to my own music, video taping myself, editing videos and broadcasting! I feel as though I should be chosen to have this oppurtunity because I feel as though I can whoo a crowd and bring a different perspective to the table. I can excite, change ways of thinking, and bring a whole new definition of music to all generations, especially mine. I would be honored!!
