I am not sure about solving riddles but I am definitely convinced that I am not normal. I like it this way because my friends or family expects me to do unpredictable and outrageous things. As long as they are used to this then it doesn’t come as much of a shock when I do anything no matter how crazy. I have been doing some martial arts training and I think it would be so much fun to compete. I can train, schedule the fight and when I tell my family they wont be objective because for me this is normal. If there is one thing at the top of my bucket list it is sky diving. If I have the opportunity for a adrenaline rush then I am there. I would be the first one out of the plane. My personality may be eccentric but life is too short to not have as much fun as possible.

  5. Jim Baker

I’ve done pageants competed in National Beauty pageant’s. I think I will be great for this because my uniqueness. I stand out, that’s just how I was born so I learned to accept the fact I’m a little person, something that helped me with that was acting. 9. Brooke Cannon

HI, normal folk, Brooke Cannon here. I am a 31 year old mom of 4 EXTREME BLESSINGS ages 8-3 and a 1 year old hairy version. I’m married to my 7th grade sweetheart for 11 years now and we are one happy family. VANILLA, NORMAL…..not even close. I am super mom to most, I do book club, help in class, do parties, etc. But even at my mildest, I’m by far the wildest. I just plain love kids! I get down on their level, give them all nicknames, tease them, and even stay to play with them at recess. But get me at a adult party and see parents mouth drop when this mama goes gangsta. I rap, I break this white booty down as much as I can and know every lyric to every Salt-n-pepa, jam or Nelly song there ever was. I’m loud, silly, take any dare someone will give me, yet I”m always invited back. My kids are happy but have only known tight money situations. Our third, has had major health problems leading to massive credit card debt. 100,000 would change our lives. We could go to Disneyland, make more memories and hopefully fulfill my dream of fostering more kiddos. I’m a great mix of crazy/responsible. I am my favorite quote: If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart.

  10. Brooke Cannon

I love the show title but what is normal these days? I’ve never been nor do I ever care to be. I’m fun, eccentric, outgoing, the life of the party, or maybe the a$$ of the party at times. But People who know my family side are always a little shocked by my crazy antics. My name is Brooke Cannon, I married my 7th grade sweetheart at age 20, we are now 31 and have 4 AMAZING BLESSINGS between the ages of 8 and 3. Plus a little 5lb hairy one. I am a stay at home mom, I help in classrooms, at class parties, reading group etc. I am always the wild one of the parents. I love kids, love to get down to their level, tease them and play with them. Kids really make life worth while. My husband and I are like big kids. Well responsible ones and yes, we are finally potty trained. But at adult get together’s, mama go gangsta. I rap, I dance as ghetto as this white girl can and I’m loud but yet always get invited back. Go figure. Our family, like all American families these days need money desperately. Although we’re happy without it, man, would we stress less. Our 3rd has had many health issues and left us with tons of credit card debt. We barely make it month to month. The kids want to go to Disneyland or really anywhere. My boys said the moon but we’ve never been on a family trip. 100,000 would change our lives and hopefully another little kid someday, as we’d love to be foster parents. These 4 kids deserve the best in life, money isn’t it but experiences with their family would be great and not to have to worry about how to put them in swimming lessons, etc would be awesome. So, we are not normal…..we are fun, loud, obnoxious, but as my very quote states: if you think my hands are full, you should see my heart.

  11. Anthony Johnson Byles

Honestly, you’ve found tour match….LOL I’m a fun and outgoing guy who love trying new things and keeping up with my bucket list things to do. I have a fun loud powerhouse personality. I’m ready for a challenge, and did I say i’m great with riddles…

  15. April

Truthfully, what is ” normal “? I’m willing to walk down the yellow brick road and find out. Maybe after 33 years of life experiences, I may find out that I have some normalcy to me. I’m the life of the party, very outgoing, rambunctious, and I got it going on you better ask somebody. Lol! But, everything I do is for my family and that’s why I have to stay on my feet! I love solving problems and I have tons of energy that I need to share. You either gonna love me or love me more. There’s no in between, I’m only me. So, let’s get it done bew!

  18. susanne

Well hello there everyone, guess you are all dying to know if you are normal or not.

ME well I dont think that I am normal, but who is to say what is normal and not normal?

I live right now in Lake Chapala Mexico, and we get The Oprah Winfrey show everyday, and I find most of her topics both interesting and very informative, and funny especially Oprah.
I think I could partner anyone in the above list.

I especially enjoyed the series where all Oprah’s staff were involved in the making of the network OWN, something I would have loved to have been a part in.
I am a widow and 63 years old, but heck I dont look that ripe old age and certainly dont, feel it. I was a tour guide for many years of my working life, and BOY have I seen some things in my life time, I am currently trying to put together a book, hopefully to be named CARRY ON COURIER.

I sure hope that I could be a representative from here in Mexico, I also live in Canada when I go back up. The show Are you Normal is a riot, I was explaining it the other day to a couple who do not speak English, and they where gaping at the screen, while I translated. My fingers are crossed to be able to take this challenge. SUZI

  19. susanne

Hi y’all well I am defintely NOT NORMAL, but what is normal anyway?

I would love to be on the “Are YOU Normal America” SHOW, I live right now in Mexico and also in Canada.
We here in Lake Chapala, get the Oprah Winfrey show everyday channel 147, and I am usually glued to it, in the evenings, OPRAH is an inspiration to us all, Men Women and Children, of every Country. What a lady.
I have read all the comments of the people who wrote before me, and am sure I could partner any one of them. My friends say you would’nt dare would you, I SAY yes, I would love to know whether America thinks I am normal or not normal Sincerely SUZI

  30. Eliza Cooper

Like Eliza Doolittle, I’m a woman open to change and transformation. Being on this show would be such an amazing opportunity. I was once on Ryan Seacrest’s TV show w/Darryl Hannah, who had to kick some signs for me to win $500. Needless to say, my enthusiasm and her never-ending legs got me that cash, which allowed me to buy something nice for my then 2-year-old son. Please consider me! Best, Eliza PS: In my day job, I go by Beth Cooper, of the “I Love You, Beth Cooper” book and movie.

  34. Megan Townsend

Hello OWN!! My name is Megan Townsend and I believe Im a perfect canadiate to be feature on the Game show “Are you normal”. I have a bubbly personality, love to talk and the life of social events. Im known to make off the wall comments that will make you think “Is she normal”? Im 29 years of age, currently in school for Criminal Justice (Forensics) and a proud parent of a beautiful 8 year old daughter who is the love and highlight of my life. Ive had not so great times during this journey called life, but with Gods grace and looking in my daughters face, I was able to overcome obstacles and continuing to strive….For her… For myself. My most recent accomplishment was being interveiwed for a segment that will be feature on CNN so Im considered a local hometown celebrity and would love to add this to my short list yet great accomplishments throughout my lifetime. It may not be important to others, but I give myself a pat on the back. I thank you for your time and hopefully I can grace the game show with my presence, thanks!!

  35. Alexa

I think I would be perfect for this show. All my friends me “rare” because they believe no one is like me. I am very competitive and out going and am

I’m also pretty easy on the eyes.

  37. Diane

Is it normal to want to win big money? YESSS!!!!

Is it normal to fantasize being the contestant on stage right now answering the questions and keeping my fantasy score? YESSS!!!!

Is it normal to have a perfect score so far??? Apparently, NOO!!! Because they didn’t guess the guy sitting at the top of the screen as the repeat skinny dipper offender like I did!!!

Is it normal to have the hoodspa and confidence to R-E-A-L-L-Y submit a comment audition to be the next contestant on “Are you normal, America?” ut oh…not sure …ummmm Yes! ummm No! err Yess! oh boy .. Is it “normal” to be “not abnormal” but to feel it’s “normal” normally?

To find out the answer…you need to pick me as your next contestant on “Are You Normal, America?”

  38. Jacqueline Lawrence

I’m perfect for this game show because I am not normal. Here I am, fifty years of age, and still a thrill seeker looking for some fun. I have appeared on several talk shows in the past- just about anything for a good laugh and some excitement. I do not have a problem with revealing myself to America. Having been called “crazy” for most of my life, I am wide-open to almost anything bold, daring and fun.

  39. A. DeVilla

With all of the “normal” stuff on TV now, what do we REALLY consider “NORMAL”? Im up for the challenge!!! No really, I’m a honors college graduate from St. Louis MO, mother of two teenage boys, (but I still get asked for ID…((is that normal)), I guess it’s a blessing and a curse to be beautiful, charming, a pleasure, a ball of energy, and over 35. I know….your asking whats the secret??? HELLO SOMEBODY…lol ((I’d love to tell you more…))

  40. Amy Urciuoli

I am a former Emt who moved on to nursing when working a job where anything happens at any moment and you see the best and worst things you need a huge personality, a sick sense of humor and a love of people.

  41. A. DeVilla

Hilarious !!!! I had the pleasure of actually viewing the show and thought to myself ((HUMMMM, what would it take to become a contestant?)) With all of the “normal” stuff on TV now, what do we REALLY consider “NORMAL”? Im up for the challenge!!! No really, I’m a honors college graduate from St. Louis MO, mother of two teenage boys, (but I still get asked for ID…((is that normal)), I guess it’s a blessing and a curse to be beautiful, charming, a pleasure, a ball of energy, and over 35. I know….your asking whats the secret??? HELLO SOMEBODY…lol ((I’d love to tell you more…))

  42. Madelyn Martinez

Well, where to start? I think I deserve a chance at $100,000! I mean who doesn’t need money with the economy today?
Seriously though, I think that if I was able to be on Are You Normal America I would be able to go all the way to the end. I have watched game shows like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Family Feud my whole life, and like most (normal) people have played the game at home and unlike most people actually answer a majority of them right! 🙂 Loved doing it too.
I am twenty years old, twenty-one in just fifteen more days, and I have had the oportunity to do many things as well as endure some very hard times at such a young age. I wont go into details of the “woes” of my life, instead I’ll tell you how amazing my seven month old daughter Angelena has made my very existence and how much I want her to have an even better life than I ever had.
I was always afraid to try to go for the “big stuff,” to really just go for something I really wanted to do because I didn’t think I would be able to acheive that goal financially, dispite being more than confident in my capabilities. I don’t feel exactly the same anymore because I am well on my way to being financially stable but I don’t want my daughter to ever be afraid of something as small as money. Just having the chance to win $100,000 (or 50,000 if we have to split it) would really help my dream of being able to give my little girl everything she could ever want.
So, please keep me in mind while you’re making your list of contestants. I would be honored, and really excited! I mean sheesh, just getting the chance to play! That would be one to tell my little girl about huh even if I don’t win? 😉

  43. zanetta anderson

I watched the show & loved it. It seems like so much fun.I am such a fun loving person and look for fun and adventure in all I do. Are You Normal America? I’m Ready For Some Fun!

  44. Casey

I am a happy, energetic, friendly and lively young adult! I LOVE to laugh and to have fun. This show is definitely right for me! I am super talkative and outgoing-ask anyone I know! It’d be awesome to try and win some money but to have a great time doing it!

  45. Ashlyn

Hey y’all! My name is Ashlyn, im 18 years old from Charlotte, North Carolina. I was born and raised here and im a very outgoing girl with a great attitude! I think that i would be a great candidate for this show! I’m planning to study broadcasting next year in college to become an anchorwoman on a news channel! I’m a great sport and communicate with people so well.

  46. Hartford Hough

This sounds like great concept for a show. I would love to be a part of this experience because I am a competitive, fun and outgoing person. What a great way to examine “what is normal?” In our society. A game show format that bridges this concept looks to be fun and exciting. I would bring to this experience a great contestant who would make the very normal be an incredibly normal moment.

  47. Jacqueline Turner

My name is Jackie Turner and I live Ontario California. I am Fun and Loving Person.Sometime I’m Normal Sometime I’m Not.I would love to be on the show if I Win or Not.Come on pick me I’m the One thats willing to share a lot.Even the abnormal things I did and got Caught! 🙂

  48. Shannon Lee

I love this concept. I am super fun and very outgoing person?, I love to talk? I have a quick witt, & think fast on my feet? I would be a producers dream. I may or may not be normal yet I believe I would be great. I would love the opportunity to make some extra cash while having fun.

  49. Shane

I know everyone is going to leave a post saying how outgoing they are and how they are the perfect pick for this show and how normal or abnormal they are. I would just like to say that I would love to have the opportunity to be able to show how outgoing, personable, energetic, and normal (or not) I truly am. My girlfriend was actually the one who suggested that I apply for the show. After reading the explanation for whom the producers were looking for, I figured it was at least worth a shot. I love talking with people. I’ve always been outgoing and have always loved the idea of one day being on a TV show. Hopefully the wonderful producers from OWN Network will allow me the chance to prove myself and grant me that opportunity!!

  50. Jamie Ellis

I am legally a midget (standing at 4′ 9″). I am the oldest of four in a family that is completely obsessed with baseball. I can sing the ABC’s backwards and am afraid of chiropractors. I am a rising sophomore at Boston University studying Public Relations, Political Science and Dance. It’s also on my bucket list to be on a game show!

  51. Marc

A friend of mine (yes, a FRIEND) participated in group therapy once. He never went back–after hearing other’s issues and insecurities, he realized HE was the most sane and NORMAL person there.

  52. Lilly Bradley

I am a native of Arizona, one that is Normal, and there are many of us, contrary to popular belief …I have been described most of my life as SOMETHING ElSE, however, I’ve never known with that really denotes. I think this is a fabulous idea, for a game show, unique and innovative. I have always wanted to be on a game show and at my age, (LIV) I would love nothing more than to be a contestant on the OWN Network. This would be a bucket-list elimination and a pleasure. Not to mention meeting the one and only Oprah Winfrey.
Any opportunity like this – And IF I were to win, would be a life-changing event for my entire family.

  53. Jo-Anne Smith

My comment is, why do you not open casting calls to Canada. I’m abnormal as they come. I used to always get stuck babysitting my 3 younger siblings, and I thought, hmmm I am going to tie my sisters long hair to the door knob in the living room as she was sleeping. When mom came in , she jumped up, screamed, I laughed, then she laughed. Was walking on a walkathon yrs ago, and spotted a handsome young guy on the other side of the street, so as I was staring at him, I walked into a fire hydrant. I am a clutz big time.
Oprah producers should really expand contests to their northern nieghbours, heck Oprah visited Australia before Canada, and were right next door. 🙁

  54. Iesha

Helloooo!!! I think I should be on this tv show because my whole entire life I’ve been told I’m weird but in a good way. I make people laugh and was voted as “Miss Outgoing” in high school. Ever since I was little my report cards said I talked too much in class. I have always been interested in other people and can talk to pretty much anyone. I am in the military where there are all different walks of life who joined and also grew up as an Army brat where I learned how to except people for their diversity. I have always been told that I am one of a kind or that I’m a “character”. PICK ME!!!!!!!!!

  55. Thais H.

I’m a 23 yr old, good spirited, outgoing, competitive , people’s person. I love having a good time with family and friends. With a Cuban background I love music and dancing. My gf and I are mothers to a silly and playful 4 yr old. I would love to be a contestand in the show because it is like nothing I’ve done before. It is a unique, exciting opportunity to find out how normal or not I am!

  56. Elora Crumbley

Dear OWN network, I think I’m exactly the kind of person your looking for. I’m an eighteen year old, raging hormone kinda teenage girl. I’m five foot zero and I weigh a whoppin’ ninety-one lbs. I’m fearless and a tad bit narcissistic really, I’m vain but I know atleast when I’m the thinnest or prettiest girl in the room. I yeanr for the center of attention, and I’m just about to embark into college and attempting to engender a good life for myself (which may be difficult due to my taste of nice things). I’d be the happiest person ever if you could just give the chance to be a guest on you’re show. The most grateful person in the most normal way, so please you big shots 😉 hit me up
yours truly and sincerely as a real person,

  61. Lina Maria hernandez

Im an outgoing person. I was born outside the US. I think what could be normal for me won’t be so much for others. I think I will be and interesting contestant for the show. I’m not shy and I’m not afraid of expressing my opinions or point of view. I think this game is a perfect match for me.
I would love to hear from you.

  62. Vicki Stillwell

I should be considered for this show for several reasons; first, I am outgoing, I think I have a fun personality, and more importantly, I am a pretty good judge of what’s normal and what’s not. Plus, I am very competitive, I make sure I always get my two cents in.
This sounds like it would be a lot of fun, I hope I get picked.

  63. Dilcia Seay

I ask myself that almost everyday when I do certain things. Is that normal or abnormal? The kind of person that I am, it really doesn’t matter because I really tend not to care what other people think about me. Love me and take me as I am.

  64. Carly

Normal all depends on the way u look at it. This show looks like so much fun I would love to be on it!!! Normal or not I am going and funny this would be perfect for me!!!!!

  65. Azusa Dance

An opportunity to be on a game show is ALWAYS FUN!! But an opportunity to be on the OWN Network, would be even MORE FUN!! I’d love to be considered. A chance to change myself, my lifestyle or my mind, would be great fun. Tangible prizes would be great as well, but I would hope to learn something about myself during the journey. I am 40 with 2 kids in college and have some free time on my hands. What a great way to spend my time!

  66. Carly Nichols

I am 20 years old I have a 2 year old son and I work at a daycare! I’m a complete goofball!! My boss is my best friend and she tells me day that I am not normal! I’m funny sassy and quick! I love to be out going and have fun, this show seems perfect for me!!! And winning money for being myself would be a big plus!!!!! Please pick me!!!!!!!!!!!

  67. Javier

To be abnormal is modern normality. So to be normal you must be abnormal. I would love to be on this show. Was always the class clown back on school. I’m 22 years young til the end of this year I’ll be 21 for the 3rd time. I have been told I’m wierd at times but usually its by people dragnet then me. I’m from southern california. I see the commercial all the time about coming to california and always think to myself I’m here already now what? Would love to say I’m a great singer but only ones who think so is my lovely girlfriend for 3 and a half years and myself….after I’ve had some drinks. Got some crazy friends who helped shape my personality…with that some not so excited secrets to reveal. Love making commentary to movies I watch to make every movie a comedy. My girlfriend says I love to argue and debate, but I disagreed and called her out on it. I guess you could say I’m argumentatively competitive. Looking to get married sometime soon have been holding off til the misses finishes her school. No kids trying to do things right get married and everything first. Rough for a guy but certainly proves his love and that’s helps shut em up. I’m just kidding but the money would definitely be a nice boost to kick off the lives we are planning. Currently I’m the only one working. I hope lord blesses me with the opportunity to be a part of this show.

  68. Josh Lueck

This show sounds extremely fun and it would be an absolute pleasure to be apart of it! I am 18 years old and I just graduated high school. Knowing what is normal and what isn’t normal was a must while attending high school! I worked extremely well with others and I wasn’t exactly known for being shy or quiet in class. Being that as it may, I would occasionaly be shushed by my teachers! A chance at winning $100,000 is incredible and I would be an excellent choice for casting :D. I look forward to playing on Are You Normal America!!

  69. kelly johnson

I would love love love to play, for one thing being on a game show is on my bucket list, for another who’ s to say what or who is normal, one persons normal is another persons weird.

  70. kelly johnson

I would love to play, really who’s to say who or what’s normal.

  71. Bryce Crawford

I would be great for this show because… i am very talkative, i always get yelled at to be quite. i am probably the most rambunctious person in the whole state of Nebraska. I could be so great at this show, it sounds like so much fun… i am defiantly afraid of telling all of my secrets.

  72. jermaine wesley

This will be a perfect show for me because I have a great sense of humor and very outgoing. Also I love having the spotlight on me it makes me very creative and I’m a quick thinker and works well with others. People love me and on top of it all I am a pretty attractive guy.

  73. Jackie Christian

Gosh… I hope I’m not normal! I love a good game and the competition that comes with it, then playing for $$$$$ that’s even better. I’m a Texas (please read this with a southern accent) gal mother of two teenage girls, we laugh (with occasional tear or two) everyday! I think on my feet and often have those around laughing. I’m very outgoing, my husband of soon to be 23 years will tell you I will talk to just about anyone and about anything, he says I just make stuff up, sometimes I do:) I saw this quote the other day that pretty much sums me up: I meant to behave but there were just to many other options.
Please send me additional information about the casting call. Thank you

  74. Nicole wynn

I am defenitly a talkitive outgoing person, ive always wanted to be on a talk show since I was about 5 years old.my favorite was where they said noo wamies, thats all I remember then the little man comes across the screen, doing something funny.and most of all im oprahs number one fan!!

  75. Priscilla

This sounds like great fun! I am a gamer: good spirited and competitive! I am a life long singer and performer, so I have a huge personality. I am very quick witted and, based on the raucous laughter that is usually around me, funny. 🙂 The first half of my career was spent as a Prima Donna of opera, and in the past few years I’ve crossed over into musical theatre and cabaret. I am a full time voice teacher and I just LOVE it. Helping these amazing young singers work towards their dreams, helping them get into college, and watching them succeed is the joy of my life.
Things are a bit tough right now….my parents are losing our family home and, at 64 years old, they are struggling to find new jobs and a new place to live. It breaks my heart that I am in no position to help, b/c my husband has been out of work since October and I am barely keeping our heads above water teaching voice lessons.
Honestly, I could use a little crazy fun, and the possibility of winning money is a great bonus!
