I sing for the same reason normal people sleep; if I stopped I would eventually go insane and then I would die. I sing with my headphones in walking down the street, and total strangers keep telling me I should audition for something. I’ve just been too chicken to do it until now, even though performing has always been a joy for me. That same night a man chased me and my grandma out the door and gave us information on a producer he worked with claiming that he can “Get me out there” and that “Labels would be flocking” but if i were to ever get signed his team would get something out of it.. My grandma was all like “Yeah sounds great” but she made me pass that offer unfortunately. Kathleen PeaceWow… so many comments to compete with. So I wont do that!I come from a family of deaf grandparents. My mom is a magnificent 4 octave range singer, myself a three octave range and my three sisters were blessed as well. Sadly my grandparents never got to hears my mom, or any of us sing in life. I would like to make them proud, as if they could hear me now. I am a rhythm and blues, and jazz lover. I prefer to tell stories with my music and I have a knack for recreating and arranging a standard so its not so standard !!!. I’ve been close to launching out, but l humbly chose to care for my precious mother until her demise. I was given an opportunity to compete at The Apollo in 2007, but indiscriminately, my mother died the day before. I have won local talent shows here in Florida. Just recently, l launched out and auditioned for the next season of”America `s Got Talent `and awaiting their decision in January 2014. I have a unique voice of spontaneous quality, I’ve been told. I don’t pride myself in hoarding for and being the best, because l believe that God graces each one to reach one by the humility of loving mankind. I don’t aspire to try to please all, but l am humbly joyful when my singing will change or touch a life for the better. I am a career LPN of almost 20 years. I have been singing in front of people since I was about 12 years old. I won a few contest and I just felt like singing is my life every since I got the feeling of peace knowing that its actually something that fills the whole in my heart since my dads passing. He was murdered when i was a child so i feel like i make him proud when im on stage. I believe I’ve held myself back from going big due to the lack of confidence but the more I’m on stage the more I see that singing is my life! Im as country as they get.
