I always had a confidence in myself until I switched schools in the 5th grade and was made fun of, for volunteering to sing during a school mass. From then on, I became very self-conscious. I sang my way through grade school in my bedroom. I was awarded a scholarship to a very prestigious private high school, but still apprehensive from being ridiculed as a young girl, I only fulfilled the minimum requirements to keep my scholarship. I graduated the Philadelphia college of osteopathic medicine in 2003 and have been a Physician Assistant, now in vascular surgery. Chardenai Vang aka Lil Naii dont sing. but i rap, original songs.Music is everything to me. pretty cliche but its true. if i’m mad, i listen to music and it will take me away from the madness. when i’m sad, i listen to music and it may not take me away from the sadness but it helps me find what i’m actually sad about. and when i’m happy and i listen to music i feel on top of the world. the music i listen to varies from my mood at that moment. just like anybody else right? well that’s the same way i make my music. i make my music the way i listen to it. Music has always been there for me. when i was at my lowest point of my life the song “Live Your Life” with Rihanna and T.I. came on and it changed me.
