Latrice Drakei think for starters i should say that iam african american and i know that there are not any african american in the disney cartoon, but why not step outside the box a little bit. I was a little girl when The Little Mermaid came out on vhs and i absolutely fell in love with it. I watched it everyday after school and pretty much learned the songs within the first two days. Now its not only my favorite disney princess cartoon bt my nieces love it also. They are always asking my to watch and sing along with them. Im not asking for Ariel’s part. Heidi KHello, growing up I watched every Disney movie around. They are the reason I have not given up on that timeless love and romance in a relationship. A love exists that is deeper than any and Disney movies are the reason I haven’t given up on finding a great man. In middle school and high school I participated in the musicals and the small town players guild where I live. I have been in about 5-6 productions and enjoyed every one of them. I have also been in an at&t commercial in 2013 I believe. I have always been fond of singing as I have participated in choirs my entire life- school, church, the shower…etc. I have sung in solos, duets, and large groups. I was even picked as a lead, Veruca, in Willy Wonka the Musical at my high school. That sums up my experience. I am 20 years old with long, mahogany brown hair and caramel high lights. I have brown eyes and Caucasian skin. I am also used to a high stress environment and most of the time pull through. I am a nursing student and work in a nursing home so I must always be on my toes and ready for what may come. There are a lot of people that are interested in this amazing production, but something that seperates myself from the others is the fact that I have multiple qualities that others may not benefit from. Alyce WinchesterHi! My name is Alyce Winchester I’m a 14 (turn 15 in May though) year old girl who could honestly look like a 7 year old if I still had bangs. A few things about me are that I can imitate most accents if given a day or two listening to it (I found it comes in handy when doing different characters). I am about 5’6 or 5’7, so pretty tall for my age. I have dirty blonde hair that will turn completely blonde in the summer and brown in the winter. While I don’t have any previous true on-screen acting experience, I have taken theater for 2 years. People describe me as a fun and out going person once you get past my shyness. As well as being in theater I was also in art and photography (this might not be needed but hey you never know right?). While I’m not the skinniest im also not that big. My clothing style can range and I’m willing wear just about anything (as long as it’s not pink or a skirt… Especially not a pink skirt. That right there is a no go zone). I love in Houston, Texas and yes I do have a slight accent from here in the south, nothing that I can’t make go away for bit though. What else? Catarina SutherlandI have wanted to act since I could walk and talk. I love acting and singing. I sing almost everywhere I go. The idea of getting to play such an iconic role would mean so much to me. Ariel was a really big part of my childhood and taught me that if I wanted something then I should be brave a go for it. I love the original story she falls in love and is so brave in deciding to give up so much just to be with him for a few days in the hope that he could love her to. Then even though her feelings arent reciprocated she gives up her life for her love. I think in many respects I am similar to ariel. I had a very strict upbringing which stunted what I wanted to do. But if I see something I want I will do just about anything to get it. And if its a choice between me and someone I love. I would give myself up for them. I did alevels in drama music and art and currently am part of a youth programme at chickenshed theatre company. "Heartbreaker" SashaTo whomever it may concern:I’ve grown up with water-logged skin from being a beach bum and attempting to surf on a surfboard to a raft guide who can easily surf a 16ft raft… I think this would be another great addition to my water orientated life. When I was younger, I would watch the disney classic every single day while I waited for my older siblings to get home from school. Once I watched the 1st and 2nd movies, I would go and watch the show made on disney channel. I can honestly say that this is by far one of my favorite movies. It would be a dream come true to participate in something so wonderful. I pretty much know all the words to all of the songs in the movie. At my school, I am taking a theatre class and absolutely love it. I have a serious passion for acting. When I’m on a stage, I feel alive. I feel as if my life has just begun and I’ve been reborn as a new person. Which I guess in some ways, I have been. Acting has truly changed my life. I feel more confident and less shy because of it. I really want to start a career in acting and I might as well start early. I am currently a freshman in high school, but don’t be dismayed by my young age. I’m mature and even look much older than I actually am. I have actually reached the height of 5’10” now.
