Andrew M.Hello! Andrew here…. I’m a 6’1″, 190lb, 32 year old New Englander. I would like to compete with my brother. He’s 3.5 years younger, 5’11” and 160lb… I think we’d be pretty ideal candidates for the show. We grew up running around in the woods, climbing trees, building forts, damming brooks, tracking animals (or so we thought). Among the many jobs I’ve had, I’ve worked as a landscaper (with my brother), and a lift attendant at a ski mountain, so being outside in the elements doesn’t phase me… Right now we both work as production woodworkers. He’s in VT, i’m in ME… We’re both fairly athletic, but could use a good reason to get out there and push ourselves like when we used to play tag in the woods… I think the 250k would be a good enough reason. 🙂 Nooo… I know it! Money is a very powerful motivator…As far as the show goes, I think we’d do well with the task of being entertaining. We’re brothers, so obviously we’ve been butting heads all our lives, while simultaneously most times looking to achieve the same thing… I consider myself well spoken, and am sure we wouldn’t be boring to your average viewer. Green Team 2013My husband and I loved watching the first season of Capture. This is a game that is about will power, determination, strength, and logical thinking. I’ve lived outside in forest and desert environments for a combined time of almost 2 years, I’ve played college baseball, trained mixed martial arts, mountain climbed, repelled, hiked while wearing a gas mask in a humid climate and am pursuing my degree in exercise science for personal training and nutrition. Reed RisenmayMy name is Reed Risenmay (25), my younger brother, Blake (23), and I believe that we would be an excellent pick for the next season of Capture. We grew up in the woods in the Great Northwest. We were both Boy Scouts, each of us earning the rank of Eagle Scout at a young age. That experience along with our continued activity in the wild, including archery hunting, hiking and camping, have made us very comfortable in the woods. We were both competitive and successful high school athletes in football and wrestling. Unfortunately I had to endure the unpleasant experience of getting shown up constantly by my younger brother. I have always set the bar high and he has (somewhat annoyingly) always been able to top it. Although strength and woodsmanship are important to being competitive in Capture, brain is just as important. We believe that we have the perfect blend of brain and brawn. I have an electrical engineering degree from The University of Washington and I am currently a law student at Santa Clara University. My brother is a Business Management major at Brigham Young University and is planning on attending law school after completing his degree. Again by brother is likely to show me up because he has an almost perfect GPA in college and is likely to be accepted into a top ten law school. Beyond formal academics, we both have also gained a lot of experience speaking to others both publicly and privately as we served full time missions for our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon Church). I spent two years in Brazil and my brother spent two years in Portugal. Our story goes far beyond competition in sports, scouting and academics. It goes beyond brains and brawn. Although those are integral parts of who we are, we both have tried our best to be stalwart in our faith and dedicated to becoming the best people possible, and we believe that this defines us more so than any other achievements. We have no vices or addictions. We have served missions and done service both at home and abroad. We are your classic good guys. We believe that we can be competitive because of our physical strength, mental acuity and ability to connect to people. Beyond our competitive prowess, I think that we would be an excellent pick because we can draw and connect with an audience. Ever since the last presidential election Americans have had a heightened interest in Mormons. We would be that team that everyone either roots for because they want the good guy to win, or roots against because we seem too good to be true. Being in an international relationship and after living in two countries and intermittantly battling distance, we are will be taking on another huge adventure–marriage! So far the glue of our friendship is our shared sense of adventure. We have found ourselves in amazing situations, bicycling across New Zealand, planting trees in the Australian mountians of northern Victoria, motorbiking from the northern tip of Vietnam to the southern tip–and more. We are fit, energetic, love the outdoors and can be quite competitive, even with each other. Wilby joe Young (aka mighty Joe Young)I am 48 yrs old and recovering from a quadruple bypass. Prior to my bypass I was walking 6 miles a day. I live in Boise, ID and love to hike and camp. I think my niece Erica and I would be perfect for the show. My recovery is going very well. It has only been a month since the surgery and I am up to 4 miles a day. My niece is 26, very athletic working out 3-5 times a week. I think that we would be very fierce competitors with a combination of stealth and speed. We both graduated high school and have been working since we were in high school trying to support our family and plan to go to college.I would say because we know each other so well and do almost everything together and our athleticism and my brains would give us an edge to win this competition.The reason why i would love to join this competition is because I would like to help my parents. My parents are immigrants from the island of haiti and came to the USA for a better life but things did not go as they planned.My mom has not been working for over 15 years because of a head on collision she got into while coming from work in which she broke 3 bones and had to stop working and just recently had two knee replacements in one of her knees and is fixing to have another one very soon.My dad has been working since he came to the USA but its been hard for him since his english is limited,never had a chance to get a degree, and he broke his back there are many jobs he can not do. Scott BentleyI’ve been a fierce competitor my whole life. It doesn’t matter if it’s a competitive sport or a game of Phase 10. I’m out to win and I’m not going to let anyone beat me. I’ve always been the athletic type. I’ve played every sport that I can get my hands on. I’ve played basketball, football, tennis, baseball, and soccer on competitive teams and have also run on track and cross-country teams. I’m an all-around athlete. I can think strategically and am quick on my feet. I can run for long periods of time and sprint very fast. To let you know a little more about me personally, I’m 23, am 6′ even, 155 lbs. I’ve won many team and individual tournaments in a variety of the sports I’ve mentioned above. Being on Capture would be a dream come true. I know that this show would be all the better with me on there because I’m a fierce competitor who never gives up. On top of all these things, I’m very intelligent. I was valedictorian at my high school, Sterling Scholar winner in Science for the Central Utah Region, and Academic All-State in two sports. I’ve been a part of and have been invited to join many national honor societies at the high school and collegiate levels. I’m currently in my last year of my undergraduate studies and will be pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree soon after I graduate with my Bachelors. The other reason I’d love to be on the show is to grow closer to my brother, Colbey. We’re only two years apart in age. My brother and I were two extremely different people growing up. In fact, my brother HATED me for quite a few years. I tended to abide by the rules and he bent, broke, and smashed them. But, many things have brought us together as of late. Oddly enough, it’s been physical distance that has done it. We were both raised LDS (aka Mormon). Like I mentioned, I kept to the rules more while he pushed them away. I never hesitated when it came time to serve a mission for the church. During that time, our family fell apart. My brother slipped further away from the church for a while. In the two years I was gone, I heard from him maybe twice. But, near the end of my time, he started to change. Within 8 months of being home, he had done a complete 180 and decided to serve a mission. He will be coming home in a week and a half. So in all reality, we haven’t had any time to grow together and establish a strong, loving bond. He also is very competitive and athletic but is much more sneaky than I am. He understands people better and has great street smarts. Together, we make a complete package for this game. Put us on, and you’ll get your moneys worth. More than once have I come in close quarters with black bears and cubs. Because of this I have learned how to avoid bears merely from experience. Although I will not be fighting bears in this specific circumstance, I have the know-how to avoid being seen or heard. I also have done a good amount of hunting in my life, from dove to elk. Along with these skills I also have a good amount of strength for my age.My friend grew up in a bad neighborhood that some would refer to as ‘the ghetto’. He is strong and would be a perfect candidate, because he has strengths where I have weaknesses. I am not very fast, but he is incredibly fast. I also am not as smart as him. It’s something that I miss very much and it would be amazing to play those types of games again, especially for a tv show. dghellyeah!I am a runner! I live in utah and run trails all the time! I graduated with a degree in Economics and that means I’m good at game theory, the science of decision making. It would make for fun tv to watch me and my cousin strategize. We’re both fast, but we are also smart. We have watched all the episodes and we understand how the voting works. we think we have a good strategy that would be shocking, and keep viewers guessing, but would work. we wouldn’t always go for the strongest team when we hunted. And we would be exciting as a pray team. We are both eagle scouts, and That means we know knots, hunting, survival skills, swimming. We could make the show even more exciting.
