I am very talented and involved in many activities and sports but it just seems like I cant showcase my talent out to anyone but coaches and other teenagers my age. I know that if offered a role that I can and I will bring every aspect to the character that Mr. Perry and Ms. Winfrey would want. I’am very enthusiastic, talented, I have a great since of humor, and iam always humble. If im selected to be apart of this series it will mean the world to me. It will also be the first time in my life that I will accomplish something that I have always wanted to do. I have spent my whole life in Atlanta feeling that I was trapped. Mr. Tyler Perry and Ms. Oprah Winfrey are really influential role models to me. They both give me the inspiration to know that no matter where you come from or what you have been threw. AshleyAt times i sit to myself and think what should i do now with my life. Right now i am in a position where i just have to pick a safe career because of the sake of my child. DanielleSTEPPING OUT ON FAITH. I have been accustomed to closed doors before I approached them to knock. Truth be told some open and some I have to knock on a little while longer before they open. Kenneth LewisMaking a difference is why I want to be an actor. In my town literacy scores have plummeted to all time lows & my county has been cited as the unhealthiest county in the state. I live where children still try to dance in the shoes of Michael Jordan & that is all that they believe they can do. They look down no new avenues & try to pursue no new career paths. Shucks, by middle school even their individualisms and thoughts conform, and they stop dreaming. I wamt to turn this around. With my passion for acting and writing, I want to say to the children in my county that regardless to the noise & unsettling factors, good can come from your place of residence. I want to be the one to revamp the dreams of underprivileged children where I live. I want to be an advocate for them & this is one step in the right direction. She’s been labeled “ethnically ambiguous” by some since she can pass for a light-skinned African American child; a child of South American descent; a Pacific Islander, of course; and then, even some other nationalities both my husband and I have never heard of (that some people labeled her as :-). Why should she get a part in this soap opera? Besides the fact that I, the mother, LOVE both Tyler Perry and Oprah’s work, we’re doing “our part” in getting her started in the acting industry by submitting this email, but it would be an honor to have her first “opportunity” with the two people who I have used as role models for our family. We’ve raised her to believe that the American dream is for every human being: Young or old, black or blue, smart or dumb, etc. We’re not intimidated by the fact that there aren’t too many islanders in this industry, but excited that she chose to dream AND is working hard to follow in the footsteps of Raven-Symone (one of her role models).
