Nkkosozana KibibijawetaGood morning. I’d like to start by explaining that the name I was given is Nkkosozana, however I am called Kohcoa (coco) by many; simply because it is easier to pronounce. I know I should be considered to audition for The Face because….I AM “THEE Face” simply put. I profess this not with pretense but with conviction. Since my birth, many have told my mother I should model because I have a startling beauty about me. I am blessed by my ancestors with an exotic external beauty, miraculously enough, I also possess a calm and inviting inner beauty. Like many women I have a story to be shared with the youth. But my experience is quite unusual insofar as it compares to a “cat with nine lives.” I have struggled with my identity and I have also diligently searched for my purpose in this world. Each night of my journey…I died on the inside. Only to resurrect steadfast and more willing to conquer my internal storm. Although I am not where I want to be (as far as career is considered,) I now know myself and I understand that I must push forward until doors are opened. I want to show this to other girls and women whom are experiencing similar predicaments. I live for modeling as if I was physically, literally and fundamentally built for it. I casted for America’s Next Top Model SEVEN times….only to be REJECTED seven times. I was even scouted in nyc by an ANTM representative, invited to a private preparation with Ms.Jay, only to walk away unsigned, bewildered and discouraged…yet.again!! I stopped going to Tyra’s castings. I tried…only to fail. But I never fail to try…and this, I believe is my saving grace. My mother died 2yrs ago and she has never seen me model but she always told me I possess the potential for modeling. I feel she is still guiding me from above and she’d be elated to see me model…because she never did. And besides, how cool would it be to get rejected by the ANTM team numerous times…and in the end, be discovered by Naomi Campbell as The Face. It wouldnt be anything short of destiny 😉Height: 5’10 / weight: 120lbs/ bust: 34″ / waist: 22″ / hips: 34″ I am 27years of age and I am generally asked for identification because it is usually assumed that I am much younger. For me it’s not about being a pretty girl; its about showing the entire world all the beautiful clothes that are available. Several months ago I found my 1st Grade Report Card and it stated the following by my 1st Grade Teacher, Sister Carmichale: “Jessalyn G. is such a meticulous little first grader, that I see her taking the fashion world by storm”, WOW, I was shocked when I read that. Please know that this modeling thing is not something that I woke up one day and decided to try, It has and still is a life long dream of mines. I will admit that I don’t have much runway experience, but what I do have is passion, desire and a sincere love for anything to do with fashion, hair and beauty.
