When I was in ninth grade I started running cross country and it gave me something to do and an amount of joy that can’t be measured. My coach was very firm in what was expected of me. I started out in a very bad shape and it got tough, but I didn’t give up. That year was the best of my life because of everything that cross country gave me. People who cared, love and support, new friendships, joy, some many things, but the most import ones were my coach and my ability to be sure and rely on myself. That isn’t even how I feel anymore.
