Maggie GastaldoHi! My name is Maggie and I am adoring cooking right now. I am 13 years old and have been cooking for a while now. I am in recovery from a disease called MDS (pre-leukemia). I stayed in the hospital for about 6.5 weeks getting chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. Food Network was probably what got me through! I loved the shows: chopped, guy’s grocery games, cupcake wars, and all star acadamy. So far I have made a wide variety of foods. I really enjoy just hands on and seeing people’s reaction to my cooking. I also really like baking cupcakes. I have a recipe for orange cream – sickle cupcakes. I cook dinner for my family and sometimes breakfast things! It has been a little hard because I am on a low pathogen diet and I am not allowed to have like, any lettuce. I really have been wanting a salad! Haha. As practice, I have been just looking into our pantry and just making meals from that. I hope by going on chopped, I can improve my skills and show what I know about cooking, also to have a little fun too! Thank you for reading this and hope you have a nice day. 🙂 0 Reply April 10, 2015
Hadley KramerHi. My name is Hadley Kramer. I’m 14 years old and I love to cook non stop. If I had to stop cooking, I wouldn’t. Not even for my life. Cooking isn’t just making something, throwing on a plate, and calling it a dish. Cooking is an art. And either u have an amazing passion for it, or u don’t. In this case I do. I could cook all day if I could. I make lots of things. Everything from eggs Benedict, crepes, and french toast, to rack of lamb, filet Mignon, and salmon to raspberry soufflé, to Crème caramel, to passionfruit panna cotta. I also like working with cool ingredients. For instance, with my passionfruit Panna cotta, I like to use Yuzu juice with it to make a yuzu mango jelly. Another thing I like to work with is different types of wine. Especially Cabernet. That’s my favorite type to use with salmon. Everything from Cabernet, port, and Pinot noir, to Pinot Grigio, and sauvignon Blanc. And don’t forget about those fruit liquors! But anyway I cook for my friends and family all the time other than just myself. I even do dinner party’s and get paid for them! I do have to do the dishes though. But hey, maybe that’s a good thing. One thing I do is keep clean. A clean kitchen is a good kitchen. That way you don’t end up like those restersunts in the movies that have rats in them. But when I first started cooking it was when I was 4 years old and my mom taught me how to make scrambled eggs. My dad would also take me to the grocery store with him to pick out ingredients and I would watch him grill. As I grew up I started cooking and just really got into it. Now my parents don’t even cook anymore because I took over the kitchen! But what I really want to do when I grow up is be on the Foodnetwork and have one of my own cooking show on there. I think I should be on chopped because I really want to support my family and prove to my friends that I really am the best. I’m mostly doing this for my mom because she has breast cancer and is a 3 time survivor. She’s says I’m her best medicine and I don’t blame her. But she’s really doing good and I want to keep it that way. I also want to show what I can really do in the kitchen. And that is why I think I should be on teen chopped and be the next chopped champion! 0 Reply April 8, 2015

I have grown up helping to cook varieties of dishes and have learned a few different techniques. I started cooking meals in a more independent tone in 6th grade when i took A family consumer science class. I also took family consumer science classes in 7th-9th and 11th grade. In 9th grade I took two family consumer science classes. Everyone of these classes improved my cooking ability. Kailee GerardiHello, my name is Kailee Gerardi, I am 15 years old, andI would love to be a part of Teen Chopped 2015. For me, cooking is a passion. From the time I could feed myself, I was in the kitchen helping with any little thing I could. I have been helping with family dinners, big and small, ever since I was 5 years old. My great-grandmother is my inspiration for cooking. She always pushed me to do my best and to do what I love. I would visit her at least twice a week and help her cook dinner and make homemade fudge. When I was 8 years old my great-grandmother passed away. That was when I realized what I wanted to do with my life. I want to go to culinary school and eventually open my own restaurant. Cooking has become a way of life for me, any time I need to relieve stress I go straight to the kitchen. I believe I deserve a chance on Teen chopped because I am very dedicated to cooking, and I will do my very best not to disappoint the judges. Thank you for reading and hopefully considering me! 1 Reply February 20, 2015

Emma NicolaiHI, my name is Emma Nicolai as i read all of these replies i feel like mine will never be read, but i feel as though it should be. There are 375 responses and 5 pages to go through but i swear to you mine will be worth it. When i was 10 I realized that my father actually loved cooking, but as I told him i wanted to work with food like him he practically laughed in my face. Every time i bring it up he has never tried to encourage me. Although i’ve never gone to a cooking school, or ever had a long line of professional chefs in my family, i know i have always loved food and loved creating different thing for different people. You might think i’ve had a lot of experience cooking, baking, and every thing, but i haven’t in fact i don’t know the names of most dishes but i cook most every day and it always turns out amazing, so i must be doing something right. I know if i walk into a cooking competition that i will finally get a chance to prove to my father and every one else that i can cook and i’m pretty freaking amazing! Please accept me, and accept the fact that i’m not a joke, and i can do this! – Thank You 🙂 -1 Reply February 19, 2015
Phoebe NelsonHello my name is Phoebe and I am 14 and I believe I deserve a spot on the 2015 teen casting. Cooking to me isn’t just about putting food in a pan then plating It is like art. When you go to an art show you don’t want to see some paint on a canvas you want to see a story. So that’s what I like to do I like to tell a story with my cooking. This would be a great self esteem booster for me. Even if I don’t win the experience is enough. So please give me this Chance and I promise I won’t dissapoint. -1 Reply February 19, 2015

Grace HoeppnerHi my name is Grace and I am 13. I have a milk allergy so I don’t eat out a lot. I love to cook and bake without milk products and sometimes its a challenge to find out things that are good without milk. Teen chopped would be an amazing experience that one just because we are young doesn’t mean we can’t cook and two things without milk can taste good. I want to be a lot a thing when I am older but ever since I was younger I wanted to make a restaurant or bakery that makes things allergy free. I have always felt bad when kids invited me for dinner and I couldn’t eat what they were having. I wish in these kind of food shows you could just reach in the T.V.. and eat what the chefs were making. 0 Reply February 16, 2015

I love working with seafood as well…Overall it does not matter what I am making, nothing makes me happier than putting out good food and making people happy by eating great food as well. Jared GoldbergHello my name is Jared Goldberg and I am the teen chopped champion 2015! I am currently 16 years old and have been working as a line cook at Crabtree Kittle House for half a year now and have learned a lot along the way. At the restaurant the head chef, Chef Jay Lippin, was on Chopped and won so I know I can too! At the restaurant we are constantly cooking for parties and weddings of hundreds of people as well as celebrities such as Bill and HIllary Clinton so I am capable under pressure. When not at the restaurant I love to watch your very own Bobby Flay, as I see my cooking style to be very similar. Give me a grill and some protein and I’ll give you a dish worth talking about! Please consider me for your show as I am certain that if my teacher could walk away from the Chopped kitchen victorious I can too! 0 Reply February 11, 2015

Erica FishBeing able to be apart of this competition will allow me to discover more options of preparing unique and delicious meals and to give me the greatest opportunity of making more of myself in a field where I feel creative and sure that I can develop something that is worth the challenge. I’ve grown up around a huge, loving family that all are well known in the kitchen and I have taken pride in learning their abilities of making simple foods to well decorative wedding cakes! I feel I can strive and make more in the art of fine meals and cooking. 0 Reply February 1, 2015

ZeaHello, I am a fourteen year old female with natural talent in the kitchen from a young age. My little brother has an eating disorder and the only things other than white foods that he will eat is the dishes I cook. I am a well rounded chef in a kitchen and also an actress. My rare talent that causes me to stand out from other young chefs is the instant ability to make a coordinated dish out of almost any ingredients. Please consider me for this role. Thanks! 0 Reply February 1, 2015
Jordan MarinMy name is Jordan Marin and I’m 14. I’m from Colorado, I think I should have a chance because mainly I’ve been looked down on for a long time. I’ve been cooking ever since I was around 5. Sandra ScottHey. I am Sandra and I’m 17. I have been interested in cooking since I was 8. I started cooking at age 10. I sat down with my grandmother everyday and helped her cook things from Grits and Bacon in the morning for breakfast to home made Salisbury steak in the evening for dinner. I have a strong passion for cooking. I have always dreamed of owning my own restaurant/photography studio. If I win Teen Chopped, It would help me enter Art Institute. I always wanted to attend that college. I hope I am picked for my chance to win Teen Chopped. 0 Reply January 31, 2015
Hannah WongI was not raised on organic food, or “raw” food. I was raised on boxed brownie mix and Pillsbury Funfetti cakes for every one of my birthdays. But when baked my first homemade cupcake in the 5th grade, something inside me lit up. Ever since then, my love of baking and cooking has only grown. I have an Instagram page of all my creations, @underageculinary. I have frequently been the only person under the age of 20 at local cooking classes (I’m 15). But I want to show other teens that you don’t have to grow up with home cooking and super-chef parents to find your place in the culinary world. You can find your inspiration on TV, like Food Network, or in magazines or online. More importantly, you can inspiration for food inside yourself. 0 Reply January 31, 2015

Max RoudebushI just started freaking out and running around the room because I saw that you guys at food network are doing a show for future chefs like me. Also, I should be chosen because I started cooking one day by just simply making cheese sticks wrapped in turkey, and then to much more complicated things like omelettes, lobster, crab, shrimp, and chicken and beef burger dishes and many more that I can’t remember off the top of my head. Thanks, Max Roudebush 0 Reply January 28, 2015

My goal is to become a chef in the navy, maybe cook for the president, so winning and being able to go to culinary school would be some extra insurance. I’m very competitive! I remember the first time i watched Chopped, it was with my dad and i instantly feel in love. This show teaches me creativity and brings back memories; it keeps my dream alive. Even If i lose, I will not give up and I would be back. I am no girl to mess with. I have been working hard and I am getting ready to compete. Nothing can take me down now. I am a person that will taste new kinds of foods so I will know the right kind of flavors, spices, and I am a beautiful decorator. I am planning to finish high school and go to an culinary arts school. I have also got an application to sign up to cut throat kitchen. As you see I am a completion. I am a girl with 4 other people in the family. So we have a lot of mouths to feed. It keeps me happy to cook. But I also clean the kitchen after I am done so no messes are left behind. If I win a prize that shows me that I am a pretty good competitor and all of it would go towards something special or something That i will really need. 0 Reply January 19, 2015
Ryan HenningHello I am a Culinary student at a trade school. I am 15 years old and have a passion for cooking and cooking competitions. I spend all my time cooking, in school, out of school, ect. I am cofident, camera ready, competitive and believe I can put a dish up against anyone. I have Great talent to produce food in a short period of time. Right now I am training doing a group competition with classes mates. We have to cook multiple things in just one hour between food production and plating. This is giving me great practice for something like chopped. I have always loved the show and would be honored to be on it. 0 Reply January 18, 2015
DianeHello Chopped people! My name is Diane and I am 11 years old and I am in the sixth grade and it all started when my grandmother had passed away and I struggled for a long time but until I heard that cooking was going to be my passion then that is when I started to realize that I wanted to be a chef because chefs are famous and also I have been cooking for around 7 years in the kitchen with my mum and I think I have what it takes! The only reason why I started cooking is because after my grandmother died from a heart attack then I knew that I wanted to help raise money for her so people could know what I was struggling with and of course other people die from heart attacks and this why I wanted to be on chopped so please if you consider me to be on chopped-teen then please contact me anytime at d.bulut1@share.epsb.ca! Thank you and have a nice day! 0 Reply January 18, 2015
