Do you want to be an improv actor?  Are you looking for a way to get your foot in the door?  A fun new paid acting opportunity is looking for you!  The Dinner Detective is holding actor auditions for the year!  The interactive murder mystery dinner show is  looking for comedic actors, performers and improvisational types.  Acting auditions are being held in Boston, Massachusetts.  They are set to take place on Saturday, June 16th from 2:00 to 4:00pm. About The Dinner Detective

We are an interactive murder mystery dinner show set in modern day with no costumes required. This is a paid position, and you will get tips in addition to your base pay. No campy dialogue. This is an improv based show, with locations all across the US. Time commitment for regular shows is 4-6 hours including a pre-show rehearsal. No weekly rehearsals required, you rehearse immediately before the show only when you are scheduled to work. Roles rotate depending on actor availability collected & scheduled on a 1 month basis.

What They Are Looking For

Comedic actors, performers and improvisers that are comfortable interacting with audience members in semi-scripted situations. Our shows are set in a modern-day environment, and for the most part, you will be expected to blend in with the audience.

We are also looking for talented and organized hosts to run the show, manage props, and deliver speeches to the crowd.

How to Apply

Half- hour slots will be scheduled for 2, 2:30, 3, and 3:30. Please send an email to boston.info@thedinnerdetective.com with all slots you can make as well as a headshot and an acting resume. You will not need to bring or prepare anything else. We’ll mostly be playing improv games and talking as a group.
