My whole life I have been apart of a performing arts group singing, dancing, and acting in Palm Beach Florida. When I was fourteen years old I had to move to Greenville North Carolina, so I couldn’t be apart of the performing arts group anymore. But that didn’t stop me. I promised myself that where ever I move that I will always pursue my dreams of becoming an actress, singer, or both. Unfortunately, I had a lot of obstacles in my way for me to continue doing what I love when I moved to North Carolina because the high school that I attended didn’t have a drama club, dance team, nor a choir. So, I took it upon myself to gather up a couple of people to start these clubs. Thank God, I succeed after confronting my principal and finding teachers that would want to be apart of them as well. It was long after we had our first theatre production, which was a comedy and so much fun! Even the choir skyrocketed when we started to go places and sing for others. Dance team didn’t really work out though. It made me feel ecstatic to get to do the things i love most in life with just a little determination of bring people, that i didn’t even know, together!! After i graduated i attended Annie Jr. as Mrs. Hannigan. It was fun playing the bad guy but most of all, it was fun singing, dancing, and acting all at once. I definitely have a video of the whole play as well if you ever want to see it! I have went to my fair share of auditions throughout my life, starting at a young age i might add. I would be where i want to be in life right now if i just ate the ketchup off the pacifier when i was a little girl for a ketchup commercial; but my mom always taught me not to use them, so i refused. I was young and naive and wish everyday that i could go back and change my decision. At this time I was modeling and still have all the photos in a secured photo album for memories. The last audition i attended was in Boston Massachusetts. I drove with my dad and little brother 15 hours to attempt to be an extra in the film “Grown Ups 2”. Sadly, i didn’t get a call back. But I am not giving up there because I know for a fact that this is my Aspiration in Life! If you just please give me this chance to be apart of this wonderful production, I promise I will not let you down! Ps. My biggest acting accomplishment occurred in the summer of 2012, when I starred as Anna Leonowens in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “The King and I”. I also went to Tannens Talent for more practice in on screen acting, for things like soap operas and i practiced on screen monologues which i had to memorize in 20 minutes everyday before it was filmed. I also go for singing lessons at c-note music school, and have been for about 5 years. I went for dance lessons at Street Beatz Dance School. I also went to KJK productions to star in Grease…I got to dress up as Eugene since they needed some girls to play guys, and I got to be teen angel and sing beauty school dropout…i’d say it’s a pretty good part for a last minute audition, so it was unexpected. I also was in another production of grease at camp floridan and got the role of sandy. I perform during school months at singing recitals. I’m in the school productions every year too. I’ve been in willy wonka, high school musical, grease twice, hubba hubba, forty five minutes to broadway, peter pan twice, dance mania, hairspray, beauty and the beast, fairytale play and more. I always watch the phantom of the opera and into the woods on broadway movies to study how it’s done on a real broadway stage. I don’t only get trained in musical theatre but i also study books and the history of it, i have to know my backround to be able to do it. I think this would be such a lovely opportunity for me to jump start a real acting career, and what’s better than to start it with a movie version of into the woods? i hope to hear back, and even just getting to the audition process would be alright with me, even if i didn’t get the part, at least i could say i tried and that would mean a lot to me. DebbiI Love this musical! Acting in school and community theatre productions has been a passion of mine for years. Sondheim is a particular favorite. I first came up with this story as I elected to direct a group of students in this show. It was wildly successful. I am a seasoned performer at age 55. I have auditioned on Broadway for the musical *Chorus Line” , making second cut however many more ballet dancers with equity cards made the final cut. This would be a wonderful opportunity just to have a small part in this production. I am a trained vocalist with alot of spunk. A true redhead and anxious to work in this film.
