SamanthaHi my name is Samantha Taylor. I am 17 years old and absolutely love the arts. I am huge into singing, acting, painting, film and dancing (however my dancing could use a lot of work on). I have been part of many theatre productions in the past from the age of 9, my favourite being playing the part of Ms. Stacey in Anne of Green Gables. Just last fall my musical theatre group Innovative Arts did Anything Goes the musical where I played Catherine Purser/Angel Virtue. We practised twice a week 3 hours each on acting, dance and voice. I have recently been selected to participate in the 2015 High School Honours Performance at Carnegie Hall, New York in February. I hope to in the future work in the film or theatre industry either acting or being the brains behind the stage. I have been told by many people that I am very creative and I believe that is the reason I love to act. I feel I can really become the characters I play understand their thoughts their feelings and how they would react in situations emotionally and physically. Ever since I was a kid I have had an over active imagination like many people but I still have that now. I have watched Divergent multiple times but I have not read the book but if I be chosen for auditions then that will be the first on my list. But from the movie I saw I love the characters and the excitement in the movie. Just thinking about all the exciting moments make me all giddy inside right this second. I recently read End Game by James Frey and couldn’t put it down because of the excitement it created and I just long to play the characters. However I have never done anything professional before I believe I am ready for a serious job in the film field. I am a hard worker and can adapt to my surroundings.
