Netflix, one of the world’s leading video distribution companies has put itself on the original programming map with a growing slate of award winning series and one in particular has enthralled millions of viewers. House Of Cards, produced by two time Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey (The Usual Suspects, American Beauty), Academy Award winner Eli Roth (Forrest Gump, The Insider), and two time Academy Award nominee David Fincher (The Social Network, The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button) is set to begin shooting an all new season and casting calls and auditions for various roles will be held soon. This is an amazing opportunity for up and coming acting talents to make their break on one of the most talked about projects in television history.

House Of Cards is based upon the critically acclaimed novel by Michael Dobbs which was subsequently adapted into a legendary BBC miniseries. This all new version follows Spacey as U.S. Rep. Frank Underwood, the Majority Whip of the U.S. House of Representatives who after being passed over for the position of Secretary Of State devises a plan to bring down the President Of The United States. House Of Cards has been thrilling audiences around the world with tales of political scandal and intrigue. The series has assembled an impressive cast that includes Robin Wright (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Moneyball), Kate Mara (American Horror Story, 127 Hours), Michael Kelly (The Adjustment Bureau, The Sopranos) and Mahershala Ali (The Place Beyond The Pines, Treme) and more roles are still to be filled with talented people like you.     Thank you for bringing this wonderful opportunity to Baltimore. There really are a lot of great people here. I happen to be one of the more eclectic. I am a business owner with a vast array of experience in customer service, catering, bar/restaurant, marketing, landscaping, firefighter/EMT, dancing, etc., etc. etc. I have played Mother Gigonne in The Nutcracker for a local ballet company for the past 3 years. This role requires walking and dancing on drywall stilts with a huge costume and several little ballerinas under the skirt. I have developed a confidence on the stilts.
    I can also vomit on command. I know that is gross, however, it is a skill (strong stomach muscles). I am 49 years old and my hair is naturally gray (undyed). I am also in good shape at 5’6″ and 140 lbs. It would be an honor to be cast in House of Cards as an old drunkard who vomits violently in a bar scene. Thank you again for this opportunity.

    House of Cards is fantastic, not only because of the story, but of course, because of the cast. Kevin Spacey was born to play lead and was amazingly cast. While I am no Kevin Spacey, I am very versatile, having backgrounds in music, law, nuclear medicine, higher education, politics (yes, ran for office and worked many campaigns) and technology so have some knowledge of many fields. I think that really helps a character develop and become much more believable.

    50 at the end of June, dark brown hair (thinning on top), hazel eyes, 5’11” and 205. Well spoken, world traveled and that unique combination of flexible, yet firm. I can take direction, but still make things my own.

    Years of performing experience as a musician, but acting experience is more limited. Extra work on some cable series. I’ve also had the experience of more than a decade of teaching and facilitating discussions with groups of up to 1,000 people in China, the US, Iraq and many other countries.

However, after watching Season One of House of Cards, I cannot think of a better opportunity than to audition or to apply to play an extra in this phenomenal masterpiece. This is one of the most well-written, performed, and gripping shows that I have been honored to watch in a long time. After ordering Netflix, three of us stayed up watching the entire season over a period of a few days.
