Skylar PetreeHello, My name is Skylar James Petree, I just turned fourteen last month. Acting is not only a hobby or something I just do for “fun”. It is apart of me… It is who I am. I also enjoy playing acoustic/ electric guitar. I have not been to one guitar lesson and can manage to learn a tune in a matter of minutes (Any tune.. You name it.) I would love to be apart of the Disney channel, it would be an honor and an incredible opportunity for my career in acting. My first experience in front of an audience (Strangers, not family) was to audition for a role in the performance “Cinderella”. I was a little nervous, but once they gave me a script.. It was like a switch, and I was no longer nervous and it came to be natural and not forced. Next thing you know, I found out I made the role of the “Prince”. I was shocked, that my first ever performance in front of an audience besides my family.. I made “Lead male role”. I will forever be proud of myself for the encouragment, and motivation I gave myself to not give up and to not let my nerves get the best of me. My family was also truly amazing for giving me that extra push.. Beings I am a teenager now, I was having a rough time figuring out who I truly was inside. Was I a football player? Was I a Wrestler? Was I an actor? My family has shown me I can be “ANYTHING” I want to be, If I do my best at what I love and it makes me happy, anything is possible.
