JDI’m a 26 year old advertising exec. I’ve never acted professionally. I can’t really describe why I believe that I would make a great actor. All I know is that it’s been a burning desire of mine as far back as I can remember. As silly as it may sound, my Grade 10 drama teacher pulled me aside and told me something that stuck with me ever since – “you have a unique gift and you need to act on it.” Was she right? I have no idea. I’d like to think so. I think the only reason I never acted on those passions was for the simple pursuit of a ‘secure’ existence. With time I’ve realized that you can’t sacrifice joy and happiness. Since then I’ve started to search for the opportunity to find out if I do indeed have a ‘gift’.
