CourtneyHi, my name is Courtney and I will be 10 in April 2014…..I think I have what it takes to be cast in a disney channel show/movie because I am a very good actress. When I was 8 I played scout in “To Kill a Mockingbird” at a theater here in Branson, Missouri. I just recently got a part in the new upcoming Jonah show at the Sight and Sound Theater, also here in Branson. I start rehearsals in January, and my contract with them is for 6 months. I act, sing and dance. I have been in competitive dance for several years, and my instructors say I am very good. I am the youngest on our advanced team. I also take ater/musical theater and my teachers say I am a natural when it comes to acting. I love it so much, I really like becoming my characters, and I am good and very believable at whatever part I am playing. I love watching musicals…Annie, 42nd street, Annie get your gun, just all musicals, I love them. I have been asking my mom now since I was 7 if we could go spend a summer in LA so I could spend the summer doing auditions. We havent been able to yet because she is a single mom to my sister and I, and we just don’t travel much. I also sing, but other than my musical theater classes, I have not had any actual vocal training….my musical theater teachers say I have to potential to be an excellent singer with some coaching. I did have to sing for my audition at Sight and Sound theater. There were 2 other auditions I have done recently, one for Kenny Rogers “toy Shoppe” and the other for Silver Dollar City Dickens show for Tiny Tim….I got call backs forr both of them, but I ended up being a couple inches over the height they were looking for. The Toy Shoppe was looking for little kids, and Dickens wanted a child who was old enough to really play the part well, but who was short for their age., I would absolutely love to be on disney channel and I know I have what it takes. I am a hard worker and I love what I do….and I memorize really good—when I played Scout, I was one of the main characters and I had alot of lines to learn…well, I memorized mine and everyone elses, so when someone had to miss rehearsals, they always had me stand in and play my part plus say the lines for the missing person.
