CynthiaHey Disney! I would love to be a part of Disney’s Descendants, so let me tell you a little about myself. I am 12 years old and turning 13 in August. I am Asian, Chinese in fact and can speak pretty fluently. This might give me a chance to become Mulan’s daughter. Since Mulan is warrior like, I have taken a martial arts class for a year, but never the less, I can still throw a pretty powerful punch. I live in McLean, Virginia but occasionally go to LA to visit my aunt who was an opera singer. I love acting and I try to go to every Broadway production at the Kennedy Center. I sign up for school plays and I either get the lead roles or 2 or 3 of the smaller one. Aside from acting, I also love to sing. I sing solos at Chinese New Year parties and for school concerts. I especially love Broadway and Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On And On. I can also hear music and play it on the piano, maybe in a different key but the melody comes out. I am also really good at matching pitch. When I first heard that Kenny Ortega was going to be directing this movie, I was like “OMG! OMG! No way!” because High School Musical was such an incredible work of art. Then I saw Christian Bale and I started to hyperventilate. Not only do I love newsies, it’s been my life ever since I first saw it. He was phenomenal in that movie. Anyway, I would love to be a part of Disney’s Descendants. Julia Z.Hello Disney! My name is Julia Zaworonek. I am 11 years old, but I’m turning 12 on April 16th. Acting is a huge part of my life. I’ve always loved watching musicals, live productions, and I still do! Whenever I act, I get lost in my own world. I have a great passion for acting, and I’ve been in several plays. From 1st-3rd grade I was in plays about William Shakespeare, Rosa Parks, and Martin Luther King. In 4th grade I was in my first “real” play. Personally, it didn’t really matter if I got a leading role. It still doesn’t. Currently, my school is working on a play. The play is based on the book, “Esperanza Rising”. Because I’m not Mexican, and because I don’t look Mexican, I couldn’t have a lead role. Repeatedly, I don’t mind.
