  1. Ashton Brown

My name is Ashton Brown. I am a soon to be 20, transgender man living in Arizona. I’m a very out and proud LGBT, I’m a college student. I am very outgoing. I’m very blunt, I speak my mind even if my opinion will offend someone. I am a bit rowdy and love a good contest. I’m a bit of a geek too. I love playing World of Warcraft and I know everything about Harry Potter, I’m also OBSESSED with horror films.
I have high functioning Aspergers Syndrome. It’s a disorder that affects my social abilities. But it’s very mild because I’m high functioning. Einstein had the same disorder. Because it affects me socially, I took it upon myself to research what this society deems normal. In my head sometimes I have to ask myself “What would a normal person do?”
I believe I would be an excellent contestant. I have no problem answering the most embarrassing questions you can think of. Dig into my past. I’m an open book. There is plenty of material in my memories that would make for an amazing and hilarious episode. I’m unique because of me being transgeneder, a geek and having Aspergers. Don’t worry, it doesn’t affect me much. People don’t know I have Aspergers until I mention it

Love to talk too! Don’t get me started or I will go on for days. My dad use to ask me when I was in elementary school, how do you get u’s in conduct? Also I have one daughter in college who asked me several times, who walks into Walmart, Kroger, and Publix and knows people by their name? I do! She also informed me that it’s embarrassing when she’s with me since I talk to strangers and also tell people my life story! Well enough said. I love upbeat and positive and the more laughter the better. I defiinetly get along well with others too! Like my Supervisor says, not only will she never forget me but I am definitely one of a kind!

  5. Molly Delaney

Ooooh, pick me. I am your girl.
My goal is to squeeze every drop out of life that I can get.
    Here are some examples…

I am an ER nurse with 30 years worth of stories.
For example, my favorite is when guys are impatient for viagra to work & take extra.
Then, they come to us & want help. Now what do you suppose we do about that?

I have been around the world doing medical missions. With your money, we could get a seaplane to go to remote areas with medical supplies, vaccines & staff…
–My last trip was Vietnam with the impacthealthvietnam.org folks. My blog is @ mdelane2.tumblr.com/ & each entry begins with a “Good Mornin’ Vietnam!!!”
–I went to China with a Mayo Clinic group. We called ourselves the “Mao” clnic…
–I went to Africa with the medicalmissionsworldwide.org people. This is nurses/MDs from my own ER who would use the seaplane. One of our ER nurses is a pilot. We get donated supplies from expired, outdated or opened stuff that is never used. You can help us fly it to where it can do some good.

While I have published journal (unpaid) articles about: a new kind of stroke, ebola, measles, c diff & other dangerous stuff; my best work is under my pseudonym Rose Alexander.
“Give us this day our daily…Pearls”
is an allegory of love about losing a brother, son, father & brother in law. On every page is a pearl or inspirational quote that attempts to get the reader (& author) through each day of grief.

You ask if I am normal? Let me know if you need more than the above….I am just getting started!!! 🙂

  6. Jeff Carruthers

Dear OWN, I think I am the ideal candidate for your show. I love people, can articulate well and think fast on my feet. I have a keen sense of judgment when it comes to people, young or old, strangers or well known. I am 59 years old and have a broad range of life experience. I am a father, grandfather, and as of August 25th of last year, a great grandfather! I would love the opportunity to try out for your show. It sounds like a lot of fun. I hope to hear from you soon!

  7. Alexander

Yes i would love to have the opportunity to do this…

  8. Kimberly Morgan

    Hello there,
I know I would be a great person to be part of this game because I am an open book. I love people and making them laugh. I have no secrets and I am not shy. I am very outgoing and also ready to explore some more of my personality and my “normalcy”. I have family members that I think should have their own reality show, we would out do most because we are all so very normal (said with sarcasm). I have worked and interacted with just about, if not all walks of life and I have fun with all of them/ I often get complete strangers to laugh with my off the wall things I say. I call this normal. It is normal for me to make silent people speak and shy people laugh. I love talking to people and am usually good at getting people to say things before they realize they have said it. I love having fun, making people laugh and making people smile and seeing the best in themselves. I know I would be a great contestant for this show and who knows you may even want to hire me as an assistant for those that ma need a little help getting going. I am a motivator and just a fun loving human. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you, Kim

  9. Ronda B.

“I’m coming out, I want the world to know, got to let it show”……..I’ve always gone against the grain, outspoken, and always a rebel against the good ole southern morals. Rebelling with wisdom. I am mostly a lady, always a rebel, a free-spirit & an old soul at heart. I’ve always been called “over-dramatic”, whatever that is. I’d like to define it as being very passionate about life. I just appreciate life a little more than some and I’m always been open to the NEWNESS of life. Ha! “Newness of life” that was a little too philosophical, anyways I digress. Talking, laughing, finding the comedy in life, and sudden outbursts of screaming when I get a good idea is “normal” in my life.

I have an identical twin sister who is equally outspoken! We’ve always been the girls that just don’t fit in. Let’s do this! We are here and ready to rebel and rock it!

  10. Christine Karkamaz

    Hi!
My name is Christine Karkamaz, I’m 25 years old and have a very big personality. Being the center of attention does not scare me, nor does big crowds or cameras. I LOVE acting, television and entertaining and this seems like a very fun way to get my name out there, play for some money and have fun doing it! My boyfriend and I both have dreamed of acting, television and the entertainment industry, we both love huge crowds and love experiencing once in a lifetime opportunities together, I would highly love to be on this show, if possible, both my boyfriend and I would, you’d get a show of a lifetime with us! 😉 Hope to hear back asap!! 🙂 xoxo

  16. Melanie Marshall

    Hello!!!

I am not the average 21 year old, and I say that because most people have always said that about me my whole life, and I never embraced it until a year ago. I am extremely empathetic and compassionate, but I love talking and people love to try placing a label on me because of my strange/weird side. I am super non-judgmental but very confrontational. I am bold, I am outspoken, but I am very introspective and influential whether it is intentional on my behalf or not. If you want an intelligent light worker on your show who can add some interesting perspectives/conversation…i’m your gal!

A brief history of my life- I came from an emotional, verbal and physically abusive household when I was growing up. My mother suffers from Mental Illness, and as a child growing up in with someone who was mentally ill was very confusing. Mostly, because I was always a “burden” or worthless, and those concepts were enforced by kicking me out of the house where I would sleep on benches if my friends couldn’t take me in. After having my 5th suicide attempt, my friends family took me into their home my senior year to help me grow as a person by having me forgive my past and my mother so that I could live a healthy life. I spent a year after high school to figure out what I wanted to “pursue” in life. I liked Psychology like most youth who have had a complex psychological background…but I wanted to explore the field first.

I volunteered for MYLIFE, which is a support group that helps kids 13-23 who are struggling with mental health, bullying, foster care related issues and/or substance abuse.Through regular meetings and local and national workshops, presentations and performances, the group focuses on important issues affecting youth of the 21st century. MY LIFE has an extremely active voice in the planning and implementation of system transformations to improve the mental health and foster care systems in Pennsylvania and across the country; all while having a tremendous positive impact on the youth who are involved and the community.

I quickly became a spokesperson for Mylife and just the socio-economic issues that my generation struggles with. I began speaking publicly with Senators, Legislatures and over 400+ teens across the country. I also created workshops for local Psychologists in Suicide Prevention and alternative ways of handling a client who has a history of suicide. Secretly through that experience though, I was back living at a Group Home, and my only option in life was to a) enroll in community college (since I had to pay myself) and live at my mothers (since I was over 18-the limit of funding for group homes) which was unstable, or 2) Live on my own and go to college. Another friend’s parent took me in this past summer so that I could plan to move out to the West Coast- to live on my own, and hopefully lead a beautiful life.

I meditate daily, listen to Deepak Chopra, and am all about America and the “illusions” of our Western Culture and the effects it has on our collective evolution as a human species. (Oprah will know what I mean!)

Thank you for reading this whole short-story. Check me out on facebook: facebook.com/melanie.marshall94 or 215-919-8002.

    Thanks,

I am an open book and I mean I am an OPEN BOOK. I say some pretty outrageous things and I entrance all my coworkers and friends with my out there personal stories and situations that I get myself into on a daily basis. I can’t make you understand because you don’t know me. You think I’m lying to get on this show, or whatever. But seriously….I am retarded serious. I’m 24 and I’m as akward as the most akward person that you could ever imagine. But I am most certainly fun and I wanna win money for being me. That basically sounds like the best thing ever. 30. kimberley johnson

” If you are always trying to be normal you will never know how amazing you can be” There are so many people in the world pre-tending to be someone that society will accept. Some people will spend their entire life denying their soul purpose just to feel accepted, wanted, admired, successful & normal. So many people fight to fit in, instead of taking deeper look within. The real adventure in life begins when an individual starts drawing outside their comfort zone. To be unique take standing tall with self confidence & Pizzazz. You are the story teller of your life. Who wants to write in their novel I lived a normal life? If you haven’t lived an exciting life filled with love, adventure, & for your self. What are you waiting for get out there and make sure the ending of your story intrigues people to follow it, read it & talk about it. Normal is just a word to describe people who are scared to be their true authentic selves. blessing

  49. Jason "Big Winner" Mutz

    Heyoooo,

My name is Jason Mutz & I’m 34 years old and live in Evanston IL just north of Chicago with my pregnant wife and 9mo old son (can someone say Irish twins?!?! Yikes!) My wife describes life with me as “never boring” and I have a flair for being entertaining as I pursued acting from my youth all the way through college and a bit professionally before having to give it up and get a “real job”. I have an amazing mind for retaining info and trivia and even read the entire set of encyclopedias (when they were actually BOOKS no less!) growing up. I was always a very sharp and intelligent kid, but never really liked going to school so when my parents bought the encyclopedias for my sister and I at Christmas I proposed to them that if I read the entire set they wouldn’t make me go to school anymore. Thinking that would never happen, they agreed and so I got to it. It took me about 7 years (10-17) but I did it. Let’s just say the effort included a lot of “bathroom reading”. lol The funny part is that by the time I finished I realized that I had to continue in school in order to set myself up for success in life so the undertaking that started with a 10 year old trying to get out of sitting in a classroom ended with a young man that knows a heck of a lot about a heck of a lot and is DANGEROUS on family game and trivia nights.

Oh yeah, and I have the best, cutest family in the world including the most adorable son ever to grace this earth and a beautiful wife that is the best team mate I could ever hope or ask for.

I wanna be on your show so let’s do this! 🙂

    Jason

Normal is never easy. Especially in a world that’s ever changing. What is accepted vs what is not proves to be a challenge as well. I am 35 years old, have 3 children and a military spouse. We’ve lived everywhere from east coast to mid-west and folks as well as culture never cease to amaze me. I would love to be a part of this and see how I fare! I “think” I am normal and lead a normal life, but who knows?

  55. Vickey

I don’t have a long story but iam fit for this show pick me funny I live to talk it me u lookin for lol thanks

  56. Zachary Bandy

I ask myself this question EVERYDAY! Normal is so confusing to me, I and I can’t help but be social with everyone about everyyything! That’s why I work in the restaurant/brewery industry, I can release all of my social tornadoes and remain “thinking on my feet.” I have started my path to success and I couldn’t have excelled so quickly without having to constantly think on my feet. I’ve got loads of energy and a genuine heart! I would love to figure out the question of “Am I Normal?” With a plan for life finally in place with myself, the opportunity of auditioning for this could possibly help me achieve it. I want to see if there is some potential in this to fulfill my future destiny!

  57. Bonnie Gilgallon

Love it! I would be great on this show. Used to do the news and interview entertainers on local radio…I definitely have a BIG personality and can talk to ANYONE. Give me a shot – you WON’T be disappointed!

What most consider to be normal is what most of society believes is normal. What seems normal to me may not be normal to the rest of the world and that’s a fact. I have always had different views about life, wealth, relationships, and success. I believe life is meant to be enjoyed and by trying to be normal, you may never have the full experience that life can provide. I’m always up for a challenge and I have no problem telling someone what’s on my mind even if I know it’s not what they want to hear. At the same time, I can spot normal things from a mile away. I’ve been working with people for many years and I understand how they think and what makes them tick. I know who I am and what I stand for, I am outgoing, I love to make people have a good time, laugh, etc, and I never take life too seriously. Just seriously enough so I never have to work for someone else as long as I will live.

  59. Becky Weaver

Hi! I believe I would be what you are looking for to be on your show. I am very outgoing and super friendly. I would be so excited to talk more about this opportunity with you!
    Thanks!

  60. Angelica

I think this game show was made for me. I am extremely outgoing, not afraid to laugh at myself and my thoughts pour out of my mouth like running water. Not to mention I love when the pressure is on, its like an adrenaline rush for me .

  61. Michelle Kinley

Wow! I’m not exactly “normal” when it comes to how open I am about myself. Even my family thinks I’m crazy for what I reveal about myself, but I don’t care! It’s me, I’m open and honest, and this show sounds like a great fit for my beaming, crazy personality and the stories I could tell! I would love a chance for this show, it sounds perfect for me!

  62. kelli

Hey I’m Kelli from Chicago Illinois. This sounds perfect for me. I love just getting out there, being in front of people, entertaining others, and love talking. Being the “unfortunate” middle child of the family, I’ve been unintentionally pushed down the path of entertaining others, making people laugh, being creative and independent. As opposed to having it as easy and getting attention for being the first born and only boy (like my brother), or being the youngest, “baby” of the family. Us middle children really have a loud fun personality. I’d love to have the opportunity to even be considered for the show! Thanks

  67. Sharon Taylor

Hello, I would love to be a part of the Game Show. Am I a normal American?

  68. Joya Chapman

heck no!,i am not normal!,in high school i use to wear mitch match earrings and shoes, this show seems perfect for me,plus i need the money for school!

  69. Robert Floyd

Am I normal??That’s not the question that is being asked, however, I do believe that I can determine what actions and/or behavior would be deemed normal in today’s society. I’m a divorced 36 year old father of two. I am not an open book so revealing personal info about myself to millions of viewers sounds kind of intimidating, yet intriguing. Whatever money that is won is going into a college fund for my boys. Thank you for your consideration!

  70. Nychi

Am I normal? No I’m not, so I actually don’t know if I’ll qualify for the show. But I tell you what, I’m the person that is the life of any party. My wittiness, good looks, keen fashion sense and love of life make me the best contestant for the show! Email me and I promise you won’t be disappointed…

  71. Kimberly

I wanna win! I will tell you whatever you wanna know and do what I have to do…I WILL win.

As an attorney and trailing spouse, recently relocated to Chicago from Seattle, I think an experience like being on Are You Normal, America? would fit in nicely before the next bar exam to get licensed in Illinois! I am an extremely outgoing and personable person, and have been since adolescence. In high school I was Co-president of the Student Body and voted both “most involved” and “class conversationalist”; in undergrad at a prestigious New England liberal arts college, I was pledge chair of my fraternity, social chair of my a cappella group, and active on the varsity swimming/diving team; in law school I was Director of Student Activities for the Student Bar Association for two years as well as a co-founder of an unofficial happy hour club; and outside of scholastic endeavors, I wrote and hosted pub trivia with my boyfriend-then-fiance-now-husband at two different venues to rave reviews over 5 years in Seattle.
I am 33 years old, 5’8″, 175″ (average build in that “used to be very athletic but don’t get to the gym as much as I’d like” way) green eyes, brown hair (just a hint of grey – practicing law seems to have that effect on people). My husband is a pediatric resident who aspires to work in pediatric oncology, and we have a 7 year-old Corgi who is the true celebrity.
If given the opportunity, I believe that my casual confidence, conversational nature, intelligence, and team-building skills would make me an ideal candidate for Are You Normal, America? I hope I have the opportunity to let America know more about me and have some fun along the way!

  73. Becky

I am always thinking on my feet and I do love a challenge. I’m an open book so this sounds like it would totally up my alley. Nothing really normal about me 🙂

    To Whom it may concern
I really feel like this game show is ment for me. I work with different individuals everyday at work. Different ethnicities, gender and personalities. I’m decently a people person. I love meeting new people and learn from them. It’s rare that I shy away from things. I’m very humbled, passionate and enjoy smiling laughing and being me. I love challenging myself to think differently and pushing my ability to become a bit more wiser then yesterday.
