Nida MaqsoodHi, Younger has been a very entertaining tv show so far. One of the biggest reasons why this show ha caught my attention is because it portrays the struggle working women in today’s day and age face. Everything from beauty concerns to the affect social media has on our society, which of course raises society’s expectations from women. I feel like I personally face so many of the issues raised in the show. One such instance that I can relate to is Liza’s struggle to find herself after the divorce and define who she really is outside of that relationship. I am a 24 year old recent law school graduate who took the California bar exam. I was born in United Arab Emirates, my family is Pakistani, moved to California when I was in middle school, completed my undergrad in Missouri, attended law school in Florida and now I’m back in California. I worked my way through college as a sephora and MAC makeup artist. At such a young age, I have exposed myself to so many different aspects of life. Her witty remarks are on point!Having graduated with a B.A. in Theater Arts as well as one in Creative writing, I appreciate both the writing and the acting aspects. I’m 28, but like Liza, I have a tendency to play mother hen to my friends and family.My acting experience has been limited to course work but I have a strong empathic nature that I feel allows me to connect with characters emotionally. My favorite moment during my studies was convincing my instructor that I was a smoker in real life, in a scene without props, when I’ve never smoked.
