For me, the most interesting and gripping part of the show is watching how humanity is represented by this seemingly lone group of survivors, and how they combat (in an exceedingly gritty and realistic way) the problems they encounter, whether it be from the ever-present zombies, to simply finding food or water. The writing of the show just makes each person a real person struggling with themselves and the world, which is why I keep watching.
