The Tomorrow People – The CW

The fabulous CW Network has gained a strong core audience over the past decade with it’s fresh and innovative takes on the vampire genre (The Vampire Diaries), juicy soap operas (Hart Of Dixie, Gossip Girl) and superheroes (Arrow), now they are ready to present their twist on a futuristic romance story with the all new The Tomorrow People. Casting calls for a number of roles in this intriguing, sure to be hit drama series will be held very soon and actors of all ages can submit themselves today for consideration for all available parts. This could be your opportunity to land an incredible role in the next CW phenomenon.

The Tomorrow People will tell the fascinating story of a genetically advanced race of people that represent the next step in human evolution. This mysterious group possess abilities in telepathy, teleportation and telekinesis and represent a very real threat to a covert paramilitary group called The Ultra that will do anything in their power to hunt them down. These “Tomorrow People’ must learn to understand and control their powers and defend themseleves and the world from both The Ultra and the evil forces that lurk around every corner in this futuristic age. This amazing new project is being sherparded by TV production legend Danny Cannon (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Nikita) and will feature a talentyed cast of rising stars that includes  Robbie Amell (True Jackson, VP, Cheaper by the Dozen 2, Struck by Lightning), Luke Mitchell (Home and Away, H2O: Just Add Water, Neighbours), Peyton List (Mad Men, 90210, The Greatest Game Ever Played) and Aaron Yoo (Disturbia, A Nightmare on Elm Street, 10 Years).     While I have never done any on-camera work I would love to get into that part of acting. I do have a lot of experience with stage acting. I have played background (Oklahoma), supporting (Kelsi, High School Musical), principal (Mrs. Paroo, The Music Man), and lead (Winnifred, Once Upon a Mattress) as well as various roles from background to lead in eleven other productions. I can do a great Irish accent and a good Texan accent but I can pick up accents quickly and would be happy to do so if necessary.

    Having watched The Tomorrow People since it first aired I can honestly say that I have been really pleased. The CW Network continues to bring me back again and again for great shows like Supernatural, Arrow, and Nikita. The Tomorrow People can be added to a long list of great accomplishments. The characters are intriguing (I admit I’m a huge fan of Mark Pelligrino and therefore a big fan of Jedikiah) and the plot is paced well enough to keep me coming back for each new episode.

    I know I can go on all day about reasons why you should consider me for a role in the show but the fact is I know that just saying “acting is my dream” is not enough to make it. Hard work and determination is needed to make it anywhere. My college major is theatre and my acting teacher is very passionate and experienced.He’s also part of running the Ensemble Theatre in MI. I have always been a fan of the CW shows since I was a teen, especially The Vampire Diaries! The most important thing I noticed about the whole cast is that all of them act with a passion within their specific characters. I think passion rather than skills, respectively, really portray to the viewers successfully. I remember every Thursday after I finish watching Vampire Diaries, I felt like that whole 60 minutes went by so fast! The storyline and how the characters blended themselves into it was so natural and believable that I cried when they cried, laughed when they laughed. That was the same way I felt after watching just The Tomorrow People trailer. All the characters seemed so unique and I felt like I was a part of that exciting ride. For me, I wish I can be a part of this cast to give viewers this same experience. Over this past summer, I worked as background for a certain movie and it was just so mind-blowing at how hard everyone on set was working. For me, teamwork and passion drives me to do my best. I am sure that if I am given a chance for any role of this series, I will strive to do my best! I hope you can consider me a candidate for The Tomorrow People series.

    To be honest, I’ve always imagined myself acting in genres like this. The superhero-futuristic type of films have always made me imagine I was in them, even after the film’s over. Seriously. I’d literally pretend I was a character in the movie and that I was talking to someone else, which is pretty weird, I guess. My mom would always give me weird looks. I’ve recently started working on a couple of short films, and I realized that I could perhaps take my acting to a whole other level. I’m currently 16 years old, 5’6, and 113 pounds. My hair’s naturally brown and it’s pretty long. I’m great in music, and despite the fact that I love to sing, singing is definitely not my strongest point. I used to be pretty shy, but taking a summer acting class a couple years back had made me step outside of my little bubble. I’m now pretty outgoing and can crack a smile on anybody’s face. Having the opportunity to act in this show would be amazing, as it’d give me a chance to not only experience what a real set is like but also show everyone what I can do.

    So I’m not sure if this casting call is still open or not, and frankly I don’t really care. I’ve watched the first few episodes of this show and fell in love with everything from Peyton Lists gorgeous eyes to the beautiful storytelling in Robbie Amell’s character. So when I found out that they filmed this show just blocks from my home in Vancouver I thought “the least I owe myself I a quick google search to try and make this happen”. So this is me saying why not chase a dream in a fleeting moment of pure positivity at 5am. I’d be lying if I said I had a crazy amount of acting experience or that I’m used to cameras being on me. But what I can say is I’ve worked a lot of odd jobs for retail companies, landscapers, and department stores and I can honestly say I’m not satisfied with a 9-5 life of saving and coming home wanting more.
