Kat Weeks“Perks of Being a Wallflower” is one of my favorite movies for its honesty and emphasis on the importance of human connection. The film had an extremely long lasting impact on the way that I think. Movies, like this one, that are moving and eye-opening are an extremely impactful in today’s society. We rely on the media (such as movies) to provide us with information, so it is imperative that we utilize them to spread messages of value. Human connection is one of the most important things in life. Everyone that we come into contact with has some sort of impact on us. It’s funny that the future we plan out for ourselves is hardly ever what actually unfolds in reality. We are forever changed by unanticipated events on a regular basis. I doubt the 30 year old caregiver anticipated meeting and forming such a strong bond with the ill child. Although they are just two individuals living in a world of over seven billion others, the idea is that they are still important. Each relationship plays an important role in influencing the world’s dynamic as a whole.
