About the ProductionRadio City Productions is looking for a diverse cast of Rockettes©, Male and Female Dancers, Male and Female Vocalists, Little People Performers, and Little Girls (ages 10 to 14) to perform in the 2016 production of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular in New York City. AGVA contract. Excellent salary and benefits.What They Are Looking For & Role RequirementsROCKETTES must be between 5’6″ and 5’10 1/2″ tall (measurements will be taken in stocking feet). Rockettes candidates must be proficient in ballet, tap, and jazz.MALE AND FEMALE DANCERS must be proficient in jazz and ballet. Pointe work is a plus but not required for Female Dancers. Male and Female Dancers will be taught a song as part of the audition. There is no need to prepare vocal material. Voice quality is not as important as the ability to sing and dance at the same time.MALE AND FEMALE VOCALISTS: Seeking strong singers for a diverse ensemble vocal group. Must have great voice and style with a wide vocal range, be proficient at singing close harmony and able to move well. Bring sheet music for an up-tempo song and a ballad in your own key that best exemplifies your natural style. No hard-edged rock and nothing too legit, but solid, clean, expressive singing in the traditional style of the Christmas Spectacular. Pitch, accuracy, and lyric clarity a must. No recorded music is allowed. Be prepared to move.GIRLS (CLARA) must be between 10 and 14 years old and be 4’10” and under. All GIRLS must be strong in ballet, able to work en pointe (having had at least once year of experience en pointe). They must bring their pointe shoes with them to audition. There will be no exceptions.LITTLE PEOPLE PERFORMERS must be adults under 4’10” tall, agile, move well to music and be able to project their voice and personality.REHEARSAL & PRODUCTION DATES & LOCATIONSThe Radio City Christmas Spectacular contract dates range from late September/early October to early January depending on the role in which role you are cast.COMPENSATION If cast, performers will be offered an American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA) contract with competitive salary and benefits.
