The Nice Guys Starring Ryan Gosling

A brand new feature film project has been announced and an incredible casting opportunity is coming along with it that could be the big break that up and coming performers are looking for. The Nice Guys featuring a fabulously accomplished cast that led by superstar Ryan Gosling is set to begin shooting very soon and casting calls for a number of roles are starting now. This could be your chance to be a part of the next great Gosling movie event.

The Nice Guys is a period piece set in 1970’s Los Angeles that will tell the gripping story of Holland March, a private eye hired to investigate the death of a young woman who unwittingly stumbles upon a conspiracy that treatens to bring down both March and everyone around him. This

intense thriller will feature a truley outstanding cast that will feature Oscar nominee Gosling (Crazy, Stupid, Love., The Notebook, The Place Beyond the Pines) and a stacked supporting group that includes Academy Award winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind, Les Misérables), Emmy nominee Matt Bomer (White Collar, Magic Mike, The Normal Heart), Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers, Palo Alto) and Academy Award winner Kim Basinger (Batman, L.A. Confidential, 8 Mile). This highly anticipated project is being shepherded by mega-producer Joel Silver (The Matrix, Die Hard, Veronica Mars) and will be directed by Shane Black (Iron Man 3, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Lethal Weapon) from a script written by Black and Anthony Bagarozzi (Doc Savage, Deathless).

    Hi, I’m Melissa Pinto. For as long as I can remember, acting and singing has been the biggest part of my life. Growing up I struggled between what I aspired to accomplish and what my family would support me for. At as young as 5 years old, I knew I wanted to be apart of something big. A simple community Christmas play was where it all began. I was the only one unafraid of performing , in fact — I was anticipating the time until the curtain would open and I would see everyone’s expressions. I didn’t fear this, I simply tried to make those faces smile with my act. This continued and as I became older, the more inspired I’d become. In 4th grade, I performed as Baby Spice in the Spice Girls play at my school, in 5th grade, as the Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz. In 6th, I focused more on my singing and performed in many talent showcases. In 7th and 8th grade, Juliet in Romeo & Juliet. I was the head of chorus group and co-captain of my school’s cheerleading squad. In High School, I played as Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Nina from In The Heights, Satine in Moulin Rouge, and performed the song ‘Dangerous Game’ from Jekyll and Hyde. Following High School, I lost my inspiration from the lack of opportunity. I began majoring in Education. For three years, it felt like something has been missing. Then it hit me…somewhere in the downfall of my aspirations I lost a part of myself. I knew then that I had to focus more on what I really wanted — to be a performer. My decision to begin teaching unconsciously struck me as the substitute to fill the void. Watching the blank expression of a student turn to a smile when you help them to understand something, being at the center of attention, and inspiring those who watch you — the components that compensated for the inability to fulfill in my real dream of being an actress/singer. I promised myself that I cannot relinquish my true passion for a substitute. In this, I know that I will never stop trying to be considered for auditions, I will never allow one’s criticism to damage me, but to construct me. I’ve grown a lot in regards to what I want in life and never has it been any clearer than now. I hope that you consider me for an audition and help to support my dreams that I’ve worked so hard towards. I am a fast learner, passionate, and grateful for any consideration I am given.     I moved to California without a real desire to become an actress though it crossed my mind I could try. I really came for the experience and the opportunity of improving my quality of life. I have succeeded greatly in doing so, and come a long way from that lone move just 4 years ago. Basically I went from working at Hot Topic, sleeping on a couch, to now working for Disney, and living in luxury apartments.
