Shelbea OwenHi there! My name is Shelbea Owen. I am a 15 year old sophomore. I have long blonde hair, green eyes, as tall as 5’1 & weigh 125 lbs. I have been performing ever since I could speak! I started off in elementary school doing musicals, skits, honors chorus, & plays. I continued to do the same thing throughout middle school & high school. Some of my favorite parts have been “Belle” in Beauty and the Beast, “Willy Wonka” in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, & my all time favorite role – “Amneris” in Aida. In October, our high school competed in the AAAAAA6 region one act competition & came in 2nd place. I was honored to make the all-star cast. This past year & last year, I was invited to sing the Star Spangled Banner for the Georgia Governor, Nathan Deal at his victory dinner. In 2013, I was chosen out of 25 people in the U.S. to attend a summer intensive at Wake Forest in North Carolina. Also, in the year of 2013 I was chosen as one of the 15 finalists in the McDonald’s gift singing competition. Year round, I perform professionally at the Earl Smith Strand Theatre in adult shows doing musicals & musical revues. Some of my favorite roles at the strand have consisted of “Sharpay” in High School Musical, & “Wendy Jo” in Footloose. I have had the privilege of earning solos in genres such as Broadway, country, Christmas, & Vegas. I currently take dance lessons at Flash Academy. I have enjoyed singing at multiple festivals as well as singing in choir at church, & have had great experience with sight reading. Overall, I am a hard worker for the passion I have for theatre & would love to be a part of this cast. Thank you -1 Reply December 3, 2014
Darcy LoweHi, my name is Darcy Lowe and i am talking on behalf of my daugher, Oilvia. She is extremely busy with all her AP academics and dance commitments with her company in Montclair, NJ. She has come up through a wonderful program directed by former Broadway veteran and principal Alvin Ailey dancer, Sharron Miller. She adores her craft and is extremely dedicated as Sharron can attest. She was given a full merit scholarship at the age of 10 and has flourished. After completing an intensive last summer at AAB at SUNY Purchase, so many parents as well as some staff and chorepgraphers inquired as to whether she has audtioned for any Broadway shows. I finally decided to take it to heart after being prompted so many times. I can see myself that she scintillates on stage and when she is there one’s eyes are always drawn to her. I thought it was just because she was my daughter and never wanted to call that out. However, over the years I see the repsonses she gets out of everyone and now I know it is true. She studies all types of dance outside of tap. Olivia would be an valuable asset from her talent perspective to her level of dedication, professionalsim at a young age, and positive attitude. She isOlivia Lowe 15 years old Sophmore at Montclair High School 5’6″ / 130 lbs with a very fit build Brown eyes and short brown curly hair Bi-racial with lustrous caramel tone skin with dimples, perfect teeth shining through an omnipresent smile 0 Reply November 19, 2014

Briana A.I would like to be apart of the Lion King as it tells a story that everyone can relate to. Life throws us curve balls that we either have to run from it or conquer them. I am a 5’0 African American petite female actress. As I have gone through a lot of challenges in my life that have made me stronger and wiser, they have also given me a deeper reservoir of emotions I can tap as an actress to bring a character alive. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always dreamed and imagined that I would be apart of this great production, the Lion King. Often times I was discovered by friends and family singing, dancing, and reciting I lines from the Lion King movies. To position myself for this dream, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater last year. My singing and acting abilities will allow me to I portray a character that people will stop and think about. Given my academic and practical training and passion for the arts, and the fact that I am a very reliable people’s person who works very well in ensembles, I will not let down the cast or the production team. Thank you for this opportunity to breathe life into yet another rendition of the Lion King. 0 Reply February 15, 2014

Isaiah MooreHey, my name is Isaiah Moore, I’m 25 years old, from the Bronx NY. Singing and performing has always been a major part of my life. Since I was about 7 I knew in front of an audience is where I wanted to be. Always dreamed of being that Kid from the Bronx who graced the big stage singing and doing what he loved as a profession. Unlike many people who come from a family of performers and singers, no one in my family sings or acts or anything, it was always just me. So my passion for the arts is defiantly something I held on to as something dear to me. I began writing music when I was 13 and although I grew up in church, began studying other musical styles other than gospel to have a more well rounded sound. I love all kinds of music. I don’t think there is a musical style I don’t enjoy. Music makes me happy and has defiantly gotten me through some hardships in my life, I give it my all, which is why I KNOW I would be perfect for the Lion King on Broadway. I want to inspire other young kids from urban low class areas to live their dream, despite the odds. That’s my main goal.I specifically would like to try out for the Lion King because of it’s message of peace, togetherness, & Love. Being a gay man myself I encourage that, because there is way to much discrimination in this world, not only on the gay community, but race, gender, and so many others. Violence would be so much less if we could do that, and I can remember being 6 years old learning that from the Lion King.If you would like to hear my voice I have a ton of videos on YouTube and things, under the name Kid Moore. Here are also a few links some of my music is streaming.Soundcloud.com/kidekliptik Reverbnation.com/kidmooreI really hope to receive an email!!!-Isaiah 0 Reply January 30, 2014

DeniseHI, my daughter’s name is Kaitlynn and she is 4 years old. She sings and dances to lion king everyday. At the age of 3 she has learned all the words to all the lion king songs and she performs them daily. I have them all on video tape. At her preschool graduation, she had the lead role in the lion king, she has also just finished a summer camp, Hakuna Matata where she once again stole the show. She stops in the mall and just start singing and dancing. she is not shy and is very vivacious. We have seen the Broadway show when she was 21/2 and she stayed awake for the whole performance, even though she didn’t get a chance to take her nap. When you hear her speak it is very clear and you will wonder about her age. She is exceptionally bright and will be taking the talented and gifted test next year. She is an all around brilliant girl with exceptional qualities. I know it is late, but if you are having another call in NYC soon, please, please let me know. I don’t have an agent because I have heard so many horrid stories, however, in the near future, I am hoping to find one that is reputable. Kaitlynn is phenomenal. Thanks so much. 0 Reply August 4, 2013

I have had many acting tutor’s and even give people tips on acting, I have played roles in alot of theater plays in my town. This is a big opportunity for me, and I promise I won’t let you down, and I won’t waste your time. All I’m asking for, is a chance, and if you give me a chance, I’ll make sure you won’t regret it. My parent’s support 100%, so that’s not a problem. When I set my mind to something, I do it, and I make sure I don’t stop until I get it done. I could serve as a huge advantage to your film, and I hope you consider me in one of your roles. I’m still trying to get started in the film industry, and you would be doing a big favor for me by letting me play one of your roles. Thank you.
