Kira DrakeTo whom is taking there time to read this, I thank you! My name is Kira Drake. I am extremely dedicated and love to meet new people. I have been a competitive cheerleader for nine years. Within these nine years I have learned the true definition of perseverance. I have watched the gym grow, I have watched many people who I have grown close to leave, and most of all, I have been told I can’t. Through cheerleading, I have learned one of the most important things to know when acting. I have learned how to control my emotions and different ways to release them that will be beneficial. For example, when I would become angry after being told I can’t, I would take my anger and turn in into motivation. I would go home and just practice until it was right. Also, I have learned to put on a smile and act as if everything is alright when performing when it may not have been. This past cheer season I sprained my ankle badly, but I was determined to continue and finish the season. Practices weren’t always easy, but I wasn’t going to give up on my team. For five months, I had to tell myself I was okay. I had to perform as if there was no pain not only at the competitions, but at practices as well. For you only perform as well as you practice. I have earned great appreciation at my cheer gym for accomplishing these skills. I believe my ability to portray different emotions would be a great asset to the Mockingjay cast. SpencerI don’t want to start this commenting/story off weird and strange. I just want to tell you whoever is reading this that I love 2 things acting, singing, (well 3 things) and letting people have a good time. Weather it is me making people laugh, dancing like nobody is watching P.S. even though I cant dance, and just having fun but doing it with friends , family, and with a good state of mind. I never grew up rich or poor but I’ve had a little of both. My mom does everything to put cloths on my back, and food in my stomach with a roof over my head. I never complained because I knew she was doing the best for me. Now its time for me to start doing the best for me.
