The Hobbit – Movie

Just announced! Academy Award Winning director Peter Jackson, the man behind the original Lord Of The Rings trilogy will be extending his planned two part Hobbit film into three and shooting is scheduled to begin soon. Casting calls and auditions for a number of exciting roles in The Hobbit are being planned and submissions from aspiring actors of all ages are being accepted now. This is an amazing chance to be a part of film history.

The Hobbit will be a three movie adaptation of the literary classic written by J. R. R. Tolkien and will serve as a direct prequel to the worldwide smash hit Lord Of The Rings films. The film will follow Bilbo Baggins as he ventures away from his home and begins the adventure of a lifetime wherein he battles goblins, giant spiders and the nefarious Gollum and ultimately claims a vast treasure guarded by Smaug the dragon at the  Lonely Mountain. Coming on the heels of the magnificent Lord Of The Rings trilogy that grossed a combined 3 billion dollars worldwide, The Hobbit may just be the most anticipated film series of all time. Mr. Jackson has recruited an impressive cast thus far including Martin Freeman (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Sherlock) as the legendary Bilbo Baggins, and returning stars Ian Mckellen (Sherlock, X-Men) as Gandalf, Cate Blanchett (The Aviator, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) as Galadriel, Elijah Wood (Wilfred, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) as Frodo, Orlando Bloom (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl , Kingdom of Heaven) as Legolas and Andy Serkis (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Adventures of Tintin) as Gollum. This series will be a perfect mixture of fan favorite characters from the previous films and a crop of memorable new players. I just recently in the past months watched the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and the two Hobbit movies and can honestly say they were all phenomenal! I’m in love with all things mythical and of the animal kingdom, and LOTR is right up my alley with it. I adore the scenery that the movies take place in, and the characters are so interesting and humorous. The graphics of smaug also had me talking for weeks, lol. All admiration aside, I would love to take part in this epic movie. If this boosts my chances: I’m probably younger than I look, got somewhat of a voice for singing, weird fun and crazy, and love to sometimes pretend like i’m an awesome creature from another world. I don’t have much of any experience in cinema, yet I’ve always dreamed of doing so. But I’ve grown up with a slight stutter, so I never thought I was worth anything in the famous world. It has allowed me to be a apart of a fantasy that after the movies ended, I sadly knew didn’t physically exist. But in my mind they lived on.     I live in Belgium. Yes, indeed, a pretty tiny country….I’m 1. 66 metres tall, with a rather pale skin tone. I have a sort of wavy black hair. I am 14 years old, so I realise I have a low shot of being in this Movie, but it would be a great opportunity. My big brother announced the LOTR trilogy to me when I was little and I was obsessed by it, even now, when I watch the movies, I think to myself: hey, I could have played as that orc, hobbit, elf… Etc, etc. I speak different languages such as Dutch, English (UK), American English, French, and a little bit Spanish and German. I’ve had some experience with acting, because my parents have an “amateur” theatre group, and it’s quite known in Flanders. Their plays attract many visitors. I’ve had a chance to play in a few youngster projects, directed by professionals, and I even went international for a while (it is to say, The Netherlands, so next door!). I know you probably won’t show this to Peter Jackson or some of the producers, but please, if you do, I hope you can give me this wonderful opportunity to take part in an audition and play in The Hobbit: There And Back Again. When I watched the movies of The Hobbit, I got pretty jealous….particularly, because I thought, if I was a bit older, I could play as Bombur, Ori or an elf. But if you accept me, I would accept everything, EVERYTHING!! I even vould be an extra or an assistent, I can make some donuts 😉 I would really do everything to assist you in making The Hobbit an amazing film as always.     We, a family of 5 from Sweden, are sharing the wish to participate in the last Hobbit movie. Crazy perhaps but we are so much in need of a true adventure and this would be the perfect one! 2013 has been a rough year for all of us and we need 2014 to be entirely different hence this application. In this wonderful family of ours there is Mi (Marie) age 41, a mother of 4 wonderful children: Patric 6 months, Turid 9, Mynta 17 and Moa 19 years old. The big girls have studied theater in school and for the rest of us, well we are more than willing to learn!
    I don’t believe in coincidences so when searching online for information on New Zealand (we want to travel to see and experience the beauty our selves) coming across this page felt like a sign. We had joked about it just a few hours previously how wonderful it would be if we all could participate in the last movie directed by the great Peter Jackson! I had to wait all night to tell the girls that I found this and we are so exited!
    Either way we are all going somewhere and plan to be away for at least 6 months. That will give us the time we need to find our selves again and to heal individually and as a family. I know it sounds dramatic, it’s not as bad as it sounds and we are NOT fleeing from anything neither are we crazy hahaha well some people might think we are wanting this.
    All we want really is an adventure of a lifetime and this could actually be it! If not we still plan to go 🙂
    For years we have talked about doing something like this and there has always been excuses stopping us: time, money, school, work, children to young, what would other people think etc. Now we have come to the strong belief that if we don’t follow our hearts desire and what we feel is right, are we truly living? We do believe that we create our own path in Life and that we are responsible for the experiences we have; now we want this experience, mainly because it would be so much fun! Don’t get us wrong, we do realize it will be hard work and we are willing to give 100% heart and soul to you if chosen.

Something that’s always fascinated me about movies is how truly real everything seem when you get to see it.

    Hi my names is Adam Austin, I have gone to school for film, anthropology and humanities. I am currently a Law Enforcement Officer, and have accomplished and seen alot.
    Even though I am a cop I started off wanting to be in films and working on them. I still have that unfulfilled yearning to do so.
    I absolutely love Tolkien’s works, especially LOTR. Some would say I know too much, but I love it. When the Hobbit came out I was nervous of what it would be like, but now I can see how well they have done in interpreting the stories into wonderful movies. I would literately drop everything to have a chance at being a part of the last installment of the trilogy, no matter how small the role.

    Why me? I have alot of life experience as well as amateur acting experience. I had an independent film group who made many small pieces that some people claim are better than those at film schools. During this time, we acted, scripted, performed our own stunts and also choreographed fights scenes. To cut long story short, I was made for doing this type of thing. I am super physical and have done martial arts all my life.
    As a person I am friendly to everyone and a great team player. I am very humble and willing to learn. I can learn alot from the team but also give much too.

    I am originally from England but immigrated to Florida. From a young age I have loved the LOTR and became one of the Top fans immediately. I am one of those people who can tell others things that you would never get from the movie or even the book itself. I have done extensive research into other Tolkien’s works and researched many if not all of the characters’ back stories and how all of the races and peoples even came to be in middle earth- I’m a huge Geek as far as that goes lol and I get alot of stick for it at work; as the stereotypical cop doesn’t normally know everything about LOTR and things like that 🙂
    I think alot of people associate with the characters in the movies, and are moved greatly by them. LOTR and the Hobbit are special. Many Hollywood films have the heroes journey and there is normally only one hero and some “spear holders” to help that hero through his quest- i.e Luke skywalker(hero), Obi Wan, Han Chewy and Leia(spear holders). LOTR however has many heroes and not one single important character. I love this and find it fascinating how Tolkien created such a masterpiece, and I hope we can see more of his works become interpreted into movies.
    I personally associate with Boromir, as a defender of men and a true warrior. He is the character that I wish made it to helms deep, and only wish he had his shield at that final battle. I relate to him as a cop, and if i had to go out in the line of duty; it would most certainly be in that way-with honor.
    To be apart of these movies, even the smallest of roles, would be a huge dream come true for me and not to mention an adventure!!! I would drop everything and fly there immediately at the shortest of notice.
    I have no paid acting experience, but have loads of armature and college work that some have said is better than paid works that they have seen.
    I am proficient in Editing, After Affects and I am an Advanced scriptwriter.
    I have made and choreographed many fight scenes and done personally stunts. I have done martial arts all my life and am conditioned all over.
    I could bring a few or all of these qualities to the team, and would accept any role given.

    I have a great sense of fulfillment, but… I have one big dream left on the bucket list… and that is why I am writing in this comment box now 🙂

    I have seen many bad things in my time much like Tolkien did in WW1. Humans are capable of terrible things, but also very good things. Great stories and movies are one of the few great things that give joy to so many.

    I am a member of an acting group and I have acted in several Hungarian theatres.
    I love the Lord of the rings and The Hobbit. It is one of my big dream to participate in it.
    I am reading the Lord of the rings and I just started to read The Hobbit too.
    I also memorized some words on the Elf language and on orc language.
    I have watched the Hobbit 1 and 2, thre, thre times in the cinema, I loved it so much.
    I am a big fan of Tolkien, Peter Jackson, Orlando Bloom, and of Richard Armitage.
    I was told several times that I look like an elf, or that I look similar to Galadriel, but of course I would be happy with any role: elf, human, hobbit, dwarf, orc (haha 😀 I don’t know that there are female orcs or not) or anything.
    If I could participate in the Hobbit 3, I think I would be one of the happiest person on the Earth. 😀

    Why should I be considered ?:
    I noticed that when I was in “The White Queen”, I could be very professional and serious about what I was doing, even as an extra. I also got complimented by the director saying: “I like this guy”. I have always been passionate about the cinema world. I never had the chance before to be part of anything else because I was in high school but now that I graduated, I have the time.
    For me, “The Lord of the Ring” trilogy and “The Hobbit” movies have always been the best movies of all time. And to have the chance to be part of “The Hobbit 3” is my biggest dream. There isn’t a day going by where I don’t imagine myself in that movie. I say to myself: “I will always do my best to reach my dreams”. Unfortunately, this time, I am not in control of it. But know this; I will be at the very top of my capacities to show the best of myself.
