Our whole lives we have had a dream of being part of a movie like this, even a small part. Recently, we completed number 1 on our bucket list which was moving to Austin to live together as family. JordanI love the thought of acting and performing but have never had too many chances in my life besides performances for marching, concert, parade band in high school and an indoor marching band show on our theater stage which was basically a play. I was in band for all four years of high school and so have a lot of experience just being in front of large crowds of people. Since then, I’ve focused on other things while in college- my studies, collegiate sports, research, internships, etc…, although I would love to take an acting, drama, theater, or performance class at my university. I act out things and sing all the time in my room and love trying out different characters from different eras, though. On a serious note though im in the Army national guard and have been on a few deployments. One to Iraq and one to Afghanistan. I have done comedy improve in a performing group, I was cast as Tzeitle in my first stage play. The first movie set I was part of was as an extra on a hallmark movie. Kyle MasseyI had my whole life planned, with college starting and a job with great pay waiting for when I’m finished. Then later on I’ll take over the successful family business.. It was my easy ticket. But then one day I woke up and realized that I’m going to be in the ground one day and I would of done nothing great with my life, and that I should do something i love for the rest of my life. And I’ve always loved acting , but living in South Africa it’s the last thing anyone would ever tell you to Persue. But I didn’t care. I quit college a few days before with the Excuse that ” My family was immigrating ” So I started my obsession with acting and with me everything I do and put my self in turns into an obsession. Whether it’s a new car I like, or a charecter I feel myself in. And when I get the thing that fuels my obsession, eg a part in a film. I won’t sleep from the sheer excitement .. I wouldn’t wait.. I would be breaking down the script till 5 in the morning , even tho I have weeks to prepare. And so I started watching behind the scenes and reading books about acing , and I came across the blog videos of the hobbt. And then that obsession started. It truely changed my life and safely sealed my wanting to be an actor.. Watching it felt like Déjà vu. Like I’ve been there and belonged there.. Then I saw Peter Jackson come on and start speaking.. And i felt like ive known him all my life. maybe i was an actor in my past life…. you know that feeling ” sorry do i know you from somewhere? ” Ah my Peter Jackson , you can do no wrong in my books..
