The Hobbit – Movie

Just announced! Academy Award Winning director Peter Jackson, the man behind the original Lord Of The Rings trilogy will be extending his planned two part Hobbit film into three and shooting is scheduled to begin soon. Casting calls and auditions for a number of exciting roles in The Hobbit are being planned and submissions from aspiring actors of all ages are being accepted now. This is an amazing chance to be a part of film history.

The Hobbit will be a three movie adaptation of the literary classic written by J. R. R. Tolkien and will serve as a direct prequel to the worldwide smash hit Lord Of The Rings films. The film will follow Bilbo Baggins as he ventures away from his home and begins the adventure of a lifetime wherein he battles goblins, giant spiders and the nefarious Gollum and ultimately claims a vast treasure guarded by Smaug the dragon at the  Lonely Mountain. Coming on the heels of the magnificent Lord Of The Rings trilogy that grossed a combined 3 billion dollars worldwide, The Hobbit may just be the most anticipated film series of all time. Mr. Jackson has recruited an impressive cast thus far including Martin Freeman (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Sherlock) as the legendary Bilbo Baggins, and returning stars Ian Mckellen (Sherlock, X-Men) as Gandalf, Cate Blanchett (The Aviator, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) as Galadriel, Elijah Wood (Wilfred, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) as Frodo, Orlando Bloom (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl , Kingdom of Heaven) as Legolas and Andy Serkis (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Adventures of Tintin) as Gollum.     i think that i should be considered for any role in The Hobbit because not only am I a huge fan of the films and books i also have an incredible interest in acting and film.
    I’m a 5ft 16 year old girl who is willing to put in 110% effort and commitment into any job i do, whether it be small jobs like cleaning up or huge jobs such as a apart in a movie or production.
    I’m English (Cheshire) and have always been very interested in drama and acting. i currently do drama in school for GCSE and i am working at a distinction level( A grade) i will take Drama in sixth from: A-level and then hopefully progress into a university and study film acting!

    Personal note: I loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy since the second time I saw part of it. The first time I saw some of it I fell asleep cause it was after school and I was tired. The second time I saw part of it I had just came home after an all day softball tournament, and was exhausted (it was before we knew I had arthritis in my ankles. I still do sports an they don’t hurt most of the time), so I could not make it up all those stairs to my room so I fell asleep at the bottom of the stairs then crawled over to the floor. When I woke up my dad was on the couch watching The Lord of the Rings and I couldn’t move so I started watching. After a while we watched the whole trilogy in one night. I loved it since then. Only one of my friends liked it too Hannah I know because she wanted to have her hair styled as someone I forgot who she said after she watched the Hobbit recently. Honestly I haven’t seen the Hobbit and want too. I also really love acting, and singing but there wasn’t really singing in the other movies so infant expect a lot of singing now. Acting is something that I have fallen in love since I was 4 years old. I memorise things real easily (on my exams if I write down the study guide I do well, I am a straight A student). I love being on stage. I love the attention. I used to hate it but now I love it. I love how when I was younger the actors and singers they could be people you could look up to, could wish that you would someday be like them. Now there isn’t many actors or singers to look up to. I just want to inspire others that their dreams can come true. Just to inspire them to strive for success. I would love it especially if I could e in the Hobbit even as some extra it would be incredible.

    As you’ve seen there are MANY people put there looking to be a part of The Hobbit film. I’m no different! After reading the novel years ago I was estatic to hear that a film was to be made and now I’m hearing that there is a chance I could be a part of it to! Could you say amazing?

    I personally am perusing to have a film production career, hopefully in acting.     I have acting experience. I was in school plays and was in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice in 2008. I live with my mom. She lost her job in 2008 and has been applying for jobs, but is getting rejected. I would like to help support her by getting a job. If I get a job, I would like to get one that I love to do and have fun while doing it. Being involved in The Hobbit would be an amazing experience and a great opportunity to start my acting career. I have been in several musicals, and was an extra in a locally filmed movie.     Right, so this looks absolutely amazing and seems like something I’d love to be a part of! Although I’ve not been fortunate enough to have any experience within this industry, my intense passion and desire to be an actor should hopefully help change this fact.

    I’ve been fascinated with the story of the Hobbit since going to see a Theater performance of it at the Theater Royal in Bath during a school trip. To have the chance to even audition for a part in this would be like something straight out of one of Tolkiens’ books!

    I’m originally from the UK and it would be a dream come true to have to opportunity to audition for a part in this upcoming masterpiece!

    I’m an extremely outgoing individual with a very unique personality. The energy, charisma and dedication that I will bring to the production can only be a positive and I’m probably the least difficult person to work with. Very happy to take directions and feedback as well as taking initiative and trying out new ways in which to approach a role.
