Giselle HaynesHi, I think that I would be a good fit for the Have’s and the Have Not’s because my life’s experiences have led me to have many dramatic yet heartfelt roles through out life and I know that I could bring them out on screen. I have always wanted to be an actress or model, and growing up I had been quite silly, not knowing how I would get through things because everything made me laugh; however tough situations has allowed me to have to fake smiles and happiness at times which turned me into a more serious individual but at the same time fun and witty. Melange WinnieI admire Tyler and Oprah’s great blend for creativity!!! I’m going to be pretty brief, I spent a lot of time alone at home as a child because both my parents worked long hours to support my brother and I. As a child I would act out people who I admired on television and funny enough “Oprah” was one of them. I also imagined being on star search singing while walking in between the twin beds in my bedroom as a child. I continued on with singing/acting as I got older with the help of family. However I was always close to getting to the high point in a potential entertainment career but no major success for a really long time. I sometimes thought if I came from a well off family would I have to go through all of the up’s and down’s and people trying to take advantage of me through manipulation. My story is one of many out there. Many talented people that are supper talented are usually broke, no real budget, and going through it. They sometimes have family emotional support but the financial support goes but so far. We all have to make sacrifices but where do we draw the line is what I’m getting at. If I was someone that “Had” I believe I would have very little problems in terms of getting where I need to go. The right mind set, finances and resources can get someone far and the mentality of someone who “has” is different in my opinion. I don’t believe those who “have” think they are limited when it comes to achieving a certain goal. If I “had” flying to the next state to network with people or having basic knowledge in goal setting is different. All that I mentioned could help me or anyone with their dream. I would have a decent budget to build a team who would be faithful in achieving a goal that will eventually benefit everyone involved. I would have family support because they understand the means to an end. In the contrary when your a “have not” and come from a family line of “Have nots” they have the “crabs in the barrel mentality” meaning no one is getting out. “Have Nots” sometimes lack faith, they say things like stay in your lane, choose a career that guarantees money etc, it’s just a different mentality almost like your born into a family of dream killers. Sometimes they would rather things stay the same because change is scary it’s better to stick to what you know to them it’s safe. To be honest change is scary to me too and sometimes I find myself feeling like a “have not” If you don’t think big with two dollars then you sure won’t think big with a hundred plus dollars. As an adult who has tried numerous times to get to the next level with my singing I have not been successful I believe I have the “Have Not syndrome” lol… I used to just want to be famous but as an adult who still wants to sing I just want to get into it and make a living doing what comes natural to me. I want my voice to be of value and be meaningful to those who hear it that is my dream today. I feel like once anyone decides to take a real lead in making their dream happen and not be a “Have Not” they need these tools that is the audacity to do it, knowledge to do it, and the will power to let nothing stop them from achieving what ever it is they want to do.
