The Great Escape – TNTTelevision’s most pulse pounding game show is coming soon and the producers are looking for talented two person teams to compete for fabulous prizes including the grand prize of $100,000. The Great Escape is the latest high quality production from TNT and was created by the team behind such reality hits as Big Brother, The Sing Off and America’s Next Top Model and promises to be the most intense reality TV game show ever. I’ve watched the since it first aired and I get really excited (and fustrated) while watching. I am 33, and getting married this fall. I run and do yoga. I also work for an oxygen company. I would have to say my dad is one of my best friends. We love watching and participating in competitions, particularly if it requires wit and athleticism. The 100k would be so helpful. My dad currently lives in an apartment but would love to purchase land and build a home in which to retire. It’s funny when we see most teams making huge mistakes, that we know we would never do! That got us thinking…so we decided to try and become competitors on the show! Elana MayerI would love to audition for The Great Escape. I have been playing these types of games for year, but never been able to put my knowledge to the test. All of my life I have been called a weird engineer, which happens to be pretty accurate. I am an engineer by trade so that makes logical puzzles and problem solving one of my strong qualities, but I am also very in tune with my emotions. Not only can I be logical, but I have also been taught how to think outside the box. I try to keep my brain active and knowledgable by doing crosswords, logic puzzles, sudoku, hidden object games, trivia, and I’m always reading at least 2 books at a time. Yes, this may put me in the running to be a huge nerd, but I prefer to be called a geek. Geeks have social lives. 🙂 I participate in a Roller Derby League, Angel City Derby Girls. I love to get out of the house and do stuff, whether it be hiking, beach time, or even visiting the theme parks. Brittany loves adventure, has studied in Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Brittany and I spent a whirlwind 4 days in Paris together last year, navigating as a team through a brew environment without speaking the language. It was a challenge but we had a great time! Brittany has a lot of student loans to repay and I can’t afford to help her with them. If we won the money, most of it would go towards her student loans. I’d love to be able to help her that way! He is in excellent physical shape (in fact is currently solo hiking and camping out all over Yellowstone and Glacier for two weeks). I was a Flight Attendant for Delta Air Lines for over 30 years so have experienced travel all over the world and also have dealt with all types of individuals as well as all kinds interesting and/or unusual experiences. I have always loved “games”, particularly those which involve solving problems and taxing my mental capabilities. I consider both of us to be fairly intelligent and persistent, never giving up on a challenging task.I lost my husband and Best Friend of almost 40 years very suddenly and unexpectantly to a massive cerebral hemmorhage the night after Christmas 2010.
