Chris RobertsI would love to be apart a film such as this, that takes on a new, fresh view on Civil Rights and Slavery. I recently found out that my family, generations ago were indentured servants from India. They were possibly forced to agree to Japanese terms that they didn’t even understand (due to language barriers) and consequently were sent to Jamaica with no return trip to work for at least 13 years. This setting is different from that of “The Free State of Jones”, but I believe Africans went through a similar ordeal when sent to America.This film is a great reminder that there were people such as Newt Knight (played by Matthew McConaughey) who took a stand and fought for fair terms and equality when slaves couldn’t defend themselves. Not only that, it’s exciting that Knight was a forerunner in leading a historic uprising. I think the film will be awesome, and Matthew McConaughey will really deliver the confidence and boldness of a forerunner. He will totally BE Newt Knight.I would like to land a role in this film because it really hits home for me. It hits home with my family history and the way I live my life. Tanisha LawrenceProfessional acting course starts in May of 2015. Im very flexible, being homeschooled means I could be on set 24/7. I’m very charming, funny and witty but can also go off in 2.5 if need be. I could write a 1000 page essay on why I’d be a great actress for the movie but I really feel like I’ve got some kickass potential and I could add something really great and special to the set and, if I may say this, this acting community in this movie. He is charismatic,charming, hilarious, 10/11yr old black kid genius in the 7th grade and still rocking yea! a natural drawing artist (like a mad scientist tehehe)novice piano player although teacher advised he continue because people will pay to hear Quinci play one day! auuh aint that nice?Sings, dance class, approx. 3 yrs acting classses, Quinci’s a 1 boy/man show lol he does it all! film it, director, producer, 20 characters/actors eek lol Yea That QMAN is a real character!1.
