My lovely godmother was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer last Boxing Day, and it broke my heart to think that the person that I loved most in the world was faced with the evilness that it cancer. I watched her become skinny and her hair become thinner from the chemo therapy treatments that she had been recieving, and I grew sadder each day watching her two-year-old son become oblivious to the fact that his mother was sick, and become scared of her when she was getting sick in the bathroom. I wish I had realized how much my godmother meant to me before she got cancer, but all we can do now is pray. <3 I've had experience with acting for seven years, and although I absolutely love our annual Colchester Connecticut Community Theater summer programs, I wish to go on to bigger things. Elizabeth PateMy name is Elizabeth Pate, and I am very interested in auditioning for a role in the movie The Fault In Our Stars. I have always loved watching movies, and I have always wanted to be apart of them. I am definitely the person who always wants to jump right into the TV and with the rest of the cast in any movie that I watch. I am “that girl” that has every movie memorized and could act out every scene at the drop of a hat. I would always work on my acting skills in the mirror by being different characters on each movie set. I put myself into the character’s shoes while watching the films, and would be an emotional roller coaster while watching them. I have been on stage my entire life. I started dancing at the age of 5, which allowed me to work on acting through my facial expressions and body language instead of using words. This was very useful when I started auditioning for school plays and things like that. I actually landed several lead roles. I have always loved entertaining and acting even at a young age. My heart has always told me to pursue a career in acting, but my mind has told me to be practical. I am in college now in my third year as an education major, and I love every second of it but I still have the longing to do something bigger.
