I have been told that it is amazing that I am still here, still standing, and following my heart. From my point of view, I am just doing what every person should do: survive, live, and be true to themselves, never compromise. Fear of loss and rejection kept me from pursuing acting in my 20’s. But after you lose everyone who ever loved you, and after a dozen failed relationships, you tend to get over those fears. It makes you realize that life is too short and nothing lasts forever, not even a broken heart. You discover that the pieces can eventually be put back together, even if it no longer functions the way that it did. A person that says that their life has always been a happy one or someone who has never experienced real loss, well, those people know nothing about their own souls. Growing up everyone always told me that I would grow up to be such a great actress , and that I had such a bubbly personality. That when I get up and perform they can see the light and joy in my eyes. Which I can understand why, it’s hard to find words that discribe how performing makes me feel all I can say is without it, I’m not sure where I would be or who I would be. I’m so beyond blessed to have these amazing talents, and the one thing I want to do with them is share them with the world. Not only is it my dream to share my talent with everyone but to make an Impact on people , to make people happy with what I do. To show everyone you can do anything you set your mind to, and you can peruse your dreams. I’ve come a long way with performing. I’ve done things and had opportunities I never would have thought I would get. I was always getting into all the theater productions at school and at the local theater company, singing in my church band and school choir and dancing. All of my time went to all of these things, and It was my pride and joy. I never imagined having to leave it all. But unfortunately last year my dad got sick and lost his job. He finally recoverd but it was to late. He had already lost his job , we lost our home and had no money, food or anything. In michigan jobs are extremely difficult to find and he could not get one and we were slowly loosing everything and had no other options. Besides one, move to a state where jobs are great. 2,000 miles away all the way to Texas. We had friends that happend to live in west texas and were willing to let us live with them untill we could get back on our feet. So my parents , sister and I all packed up and moved to odessa texas .. Talk about a change. Leaving behind my theater group, dance , and church band was the hardest thing. I grew up doing all of those things just about every day and now they were just gone. The talent was still their, but I wasn’t able to perform anymore. I got extremely depressed and confused as to why this was all taken away from me. Everyone said to believe it was for the best and that things would get better but I couldn’t. But eventually school started, it was very different but just like most schools their was theater and everything. Of course, right away I got involved. The teacher was just excellent she helped me learn even more and honestly become an even better actor. I only went to school here for 5 months but in that 5 months I performed in 4 plays, playing 2 lead roles. Than I switched to online schooling. But did not stay away from the stage , I stated at a local theater company and surprisingly it felt just like home. I did that for about 4 months and did a couple of plays. But also they had me teaching younger groups it was just great. My family couldn’t afford it anymore so I couldn’t do it. So it’s been hard being away from the stage and sharing my gift with everyone. But also, I had to realize it’s not all about me anymore. I recently just had a baby. He’s changed my life already and I love him more than anything and wanna do what’s best for him and always be their for him. Me and his dad have no problem supporting him, but this would be such a great opportunity I don’t want him to grow up and think not to follow his dreams and to strive for the best even if you don’t make it. I want him to know that if by any chance I get the opportunity to do this, that I did it for him and did not give up. This is my dream , This is who I am and what I am. God has blessed me beyond belief and my goals in life is to take advantage of these gifts and use them. And to support my son. Holly LynnMy mom introduced me to Nicholas Sparks novels, and you are right! They never fail to tug on the heartstrings and draw out every emotion under the sun.
