My teachers gave me great feedback, and many good reviews, and I finished with high marks from them all. I have my comp cards now and I am ready to put to use what I’ve learned by working with the Disney Channel – and with Zendaya, who I’ve been watching since I was really little! I have wanted to be an actor since I could walk – and I’ve wanted to be on TV since I realized actors were real people, not “little people in the TV”! Marissa VelezHey, my name is Marissa and I’m currently 19 living in Florida. Since I was about the age of 10 my mother would always put me and my little sister in pageants at local malls and at the fair grounds. I use to hate it. I was really never the girly type who likes to put on dresses and wear make up. Not even if we were just taking our Easter pictures-wearing matching outfits were the worst. It wasn’t until 5th grade when I really had interest in acting. I’ve tried Proscout but they never really gave me a fair chance. I also tried for a commercial and they liked me but wanted $1000 the next day, which my parents could not afford. I really want to put my biggest imagination into reality and really live what I also dreamed to be. I just want to start from the bottom and finally say “…now I’m here!” Lol. I’ve always admire Zendaya and respect her vision on things. To be given the chance to work with her would be hard to even imagine. But not only do I wish on becoming an actress, I also have a 6 month old son named Cameron who is just a butterball, and it’s not just only through a mothers eyes! People say that I am a really good dancer and sometimes they say im the next chris brown. If only I can sing. I love making people laugh. I have had people even say that I should be a comedian and that I could be the next Kevin hart. If only I was short and black. I’m 5’11. I have people tell me that I should play basket ball but I not very good. I remember one time I was in a basketball game and I shot a buzzer beater but I missed the goal and the ball bounced off the wall and hit someone in the face. I kinda just walked away like I didn’t do it but everyone saw and I was the bench warmer for the rest of the season. I like to dye my hair but my real hair color is dark brown but I like to dye either brownish red, or white, or yellow, or gold. People said I looked like chris brown, especially when I had the gold.
