LindaI love watching all of the Step Up movies because of the music and the stage presence of all the dancers. Its very captivating and it catches the attention of today’s youth. Doesn’t matter what movie critics have to say. They’ll never understand why young people like these movies. I want to audition because it would be fun. Of course I love dancing too just like the other 200 comments but I’ve never done hip hop/break dancing before. The dancing I usually do is with my drum corps. I don’t know if you know much about Toledo Ohio but it is a very rough city! There are shootings or killings almost every day and it’s sad because it’s a city full of talented people. I really just want to expand my horizons and be a part of something so great that influences so many people the same way it influenced me! Influenced me to change my life and not only dance because I love it so much before the people I love this well. I am blessed to have a great support system but you can’t really go far anywhere here in the Midwest unless you’re in Cleveland or Chicago. But I love my stundents here and I want to keep influencing them and push them to seek out their dreams and that’s what I’m doing now I’m seeking out my dream just as well! They always tell me that I can make it on step up and I just would like to prove if given the opportunity that I could! I fell in love with season four of So You Think You Can Dance and from there I started training dancing myself because I couldnt Afford to take classes. Then I started dancing at my church and a lady named Tanisha Shelmon who used to dance for the Detroit Pistons said she was open up a studio And if I was interested in becoming a hip-hop choreographer. I Happily accepted the job and I have to admit at first I was okay at best But I really started investing in taking classes other places and going to conventions to learn and better myself. I push myself to limits and was open to anything and I am proud to say now that my students have won many competitions. They always get top 10 high score and when the hip-hop divisions at competitions such as StarQuest ,VIP dance convention ,and Co.dance I now teach at Touch a dream dance studio in Toledo Ohio, Vibe dance Company in temperance Michigan and have taught master classes around the area. I also dance for the town which is the Detroit Pistons hip-hop dance team. I won the millennium dance complex scholarship at Co Dance 2010. And have taken master classes from people such as: Tucker Berkeley, Gina Starbuck, Greg Russel, Barry Youngblood, Chrs Jones, Kayla Radowski, Nick Florez, Lando Wilkins, Sean Evaristo, Mr. wiggles , Twitch and Nathan Trasoras. Just showing some of my qualifications but honestly I hope you read this and choose me to be in step Up 5. It’s more than the money it’s more than just being seen. it’s being able to make a difference and broaden my horizons. I am a hard worker and I never give up and anything I do. i believe there are no limits and you can push yourself to any extent you want to. JEAMILHello =) my name is Jeamil, I’m 21yrs old, I love dancing and singing even though I’m not a very good singer jeje. Um i never tried acting before but my friends and family have told me to try it out. I honestly don’t know what exactly to say, just that I’m a fast learner i love to try new things and explore whats out there in the world. i have watched all of the Step Up movies and i love them all. My favorites are actually Step Up 2 & 4 mostly because of Moose. And in Step up 4 i love how you guys mixed so many different styles of dances i was totally not expecting that at all. I’m not going to lie and say I’m a great dancer because honestly the only styles of dances I’m used to are hip hop, salsa, merengue, and regueton. I speak English and Spanish fluently, I also know basic french and just recently because of taekwondo I’m learning korean as well. I love to dance and that has always been the same in my life. When you live in a small town like I do, you kind of have to make your own fun, mine is dancing among st other thing’s. I like to learn new dance moves and I learn relatively quickly, cause of course there are times when I have no idea what I’m doing, and struggle a bit, but I DO NOT GIVE UP. Dancing has always been more than just a hobby, it’s like when I’m dancing I feel free and feel like I can do just about anything. I have never attended any kind of dance school, so what I know is basically what I have seen other people do. I do get shy at times, but I can easily overcome the shyness with time. This would be an amazing opportunity especially to be in a dance environment like “step up.” where just about everyone loves dancing. Not only would it be a an amazing opportunity but so much fun, with all the dancing and getting to learn more dance moves, would be such a thrill. I may not sound like an interesting person, but if given the chance and opportunity hopefully you’ll see the person I am. I have always wanted to do something huge that is in dance relation, and see this as on opportunity to do so. I have a lot of inspiration in my life to keep dancing, and I feel like I don’t have just a simple form of dancing, like I feel I kind of mix different types of dancing into one. There are a lot of dance moves out there and I’d love to just learn it all! A few of the people I find interesting in dancing: Chris brown. Michael Jackson. Non-Stop. Les Twins. These are a few of the people that I have learned a few dance moves, not personally but through video. EXV Dance CrewHi, we are a crew from Africa Zimbabwe called Extreme Vision (EXV). We have been together for 3 years and we love to dance. We are mostly a bboy crew but we do all the different styles such as locking, popping, krump and lyrical. We have been voted crew of the year in Zimbabwe and we are the National Champs.A few reasons while we should or rather we would like to be considered for the upcoming Step up 5.1: We are African and there are not many opportunities for us to prove ourselves to be equal if not as good as any European or Western countries. In fact I believe we have a unique factor that can put us on top of the competition.2: We have different styles and strengths as individuals but maybe being a crew can be an advantage in acting battle scenes or competition shots. We make our own choreos and that will eliminate the need of extra choreograph for competition or battle scenes in the movie.3: As step up is famous amongst the dance world, being African we bring the opportunity to make the movie universal and not only focused on America and Europe.4: Lastly we are truly good dancers seeking for a chance or break, dancing might be a hobby for many people but for us it is our lives and our only way out. Kimberli PierantoniI am born to dance! Everyone has that zing that keeps them going in life and my zing is dancing. I’m mostly self taught & have taken a few dance lessons to help me pace myself & have control over my movements. Ever since the age of 7 I have dreamed of dancing, acting & doing my own stunts. There are times where I catch myself day dreaming dance moves & choreographing in my head. It seems so real to me at times. I have seen every dance movie out there including the foreign ones, but Step Up is my top favorite. The way the director, producers & choreographers work together to create a movie that isn’t just your average movie. It’s a dance movie that shows the impossible become possible, a movie that inspires & shares a story behind each character which helps the audience connect with them. Step Up makes my heart ache, my desire to be part of an inspirational movie as a dancer or as an extra keeps me going. I LIVE on dancing. JuanitaI have a daughter that is 12. She loves to sing, dance and act like she is in a movie or on tv. She also has a passion for drawing. She tells me all the time that she wants to be on tv or in a movie. She has also been practicing her hip hop moves and if she would be in this movie (even and extra) I think this would give her so much more motivation than she already has. I also have a son who is 10 (will be 11 next month). He is a little shy but says he would like to try. And we live in Maryland.
