Ally WindsorMost times when someone reads a book they absolutely LOVE, they think, ‘Oh my gosh, what if they made a movie/tv show production! I COULD BE IN IT!’. I know how hard it can be to get to where you want to be, whether it’s getting the role you want in the school play or maybe even trying to get that certain someone to like you back. It all takes someone who has confidence and knows what they want, I’m not saying I am that person because I’m not, I was part of John Roberts Powers for 2-3 years when I was 7-9 years old, and sadly before I was able to sign a contract with an Agent, they shut down due to bankruptcy. I had a pretty awesome time there, into my second semester, I got a scholarship and I was the only one to be on scholarship at my age and in the second semester. I stopped acting for a long time until I forced myself to try out for my High School’s play, “Will”, and I got in. I played the 11 year old girl and I was a lead role, it was then I realized what I wanted to do with my life, it was to be an actress. I read ALL of Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instrument books, and I felt a connection to the book when I read it. I fell for Jace (Who doesn’t, I mean, let’s be real he’s a angel. No pun intended) I hated Valentine, I loved Simon and Izzy, and most of all, I loved being able to read a book that I loved and cherished with my heart. It’s hard to find a series you enjoy so much because books always have a plot twist or that certain character that makes you want to rip the book to shreds and tweet the author (in all caps) on how they made Me/You cry and now the book has tear marks on whatever page. Being an extra in this show wouldn’t just make my love for this series more and my acting career huge, it would allow me and gift me with the chance to do what I love and what I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. Acting is something not very many people enjoy, but being able to put on a character and become them, THAT is why I love acting. Being a young and hopefully upcoming actress, and also a fan of the book series and movie, I couldn’t be more excited to hear about these auditions. The fan base following of these books and even the movie has incredible potential. After all who doesn’t love an angel hybrid who hunts monsters? It has a lot of potential to expand and go many different directions, depending on where the directors and writers take it, and I admire that. I enjoy diversity and edge of your seat plot twists as much as the rest. I did a total of three plays back in highschool during my Drama career, but I also particiapated in a number of town productions also. I would love to have a chance to show what I have and audition for this series. I truly believe given the chance I could have what I takes to be on screen. I give my heart and soul to everything I aspire to do, whether it be on the field or In front of the camera. In soccer, I play the position of keeper. So I have the task of organizing and keeping my defense in check. I am a playmaker and a tactician in a way. I like to try to apply that to my acting, making note of the scenes, the feel and the way the others play it, and devise a way to truly make the most of it. Sarah MastrianI know the chances of someone actually reading this are pretty slim, but I have to try anyways, so here it goes. My name is Sarah Mastrian, and I am quite the bookworm and a huge fan of Cassandra Clare’s work. As one can imagine, I was devastated when I learned that the second movie of the Mortal Instruments was cancelled due to lack of funding. Then I found out that a tv series was being made and it was like somebody heard me and was giving the story a second chance. My previous experience with actual acting jobs is a bit lacking, but I have done the usual school plays, workshops, even camps, and I was the main role in a film which was submitted to the Heartland Film Festival (highschool level for aspiring producers). However, I don’t think my experience defines me. As a very imaginative and determined, hardworking person who happens to be a hardcore fan of the Mortal instrument books, I can slip right in to the needed role. I know that you guys are probably looking for some people with much more acting experience but I am a very fun and outgoing person and not afraid to get a little bit out of my comfort zone. I am a fast and easy learner. When I watch a television show or a movie I really love when it catches my interest right away and draws me in fast. I love being able to watch a show or movie and almost feel everything that the character is feeling, enough for me to laugh hysterically or cry. I want to be able to do that to someone that is watching something I am in. If you contacted me interested in an audition with me you would not regret it.
