When something that is so dear to your heart is being brought to life, how would you not want to be a part of it? Clary Fray and Isabelle Lightwood are two of my favorite female characters. Ever. Just the thought of helping either one come to life makes my heart jump. When I was younger, I was obsessed with becoming an actress. I signed up for countless acting and modeling agencies but was always too shy to pick up the phone when they called. This dream of mine was lost in school work, sports and meaningless “adult” things throughout the years. However, I would love to be able to put those acting lessons to the test and begin perusing this dream yet again. I’ve seen so many shows and movies like Shadowhunters that as I watch it I study how the actors/actresses are performing. I notice that some people are acting and making it believable and some are not believable at all. Everyone knows it is really good acting when you’re watching a show or movie and the performers are so good that you forget that they are only acting. I believe that I have the talent to make any performance I do look believable. I am involved in theater in school and was given the part as Jasmine in our school play, because my teacher said and I quote, “You hit every note right and are the person in the school who could be a believable Jasmine in looks and in your voice and talents.” I’ve wanted to be an actress since I was 5 years old and I feel like this movie/show could be a really good start in a possible career/dream of mine. Shadowhunters sounds like a really good attention grabber based on the title and the description. But without really good performers it won’t be an attention grabber. It will be judged and shot down like The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones without those good performers.
