School Of Rock – NickelodeonIn 2003 the world was won over by the scruffy charm and extensive musical talents of Jack Black and the impressive group of musical prodigies featured in the box office hit School Of Rock and now Nickelodeon is set to transform it’s timeless story into a weekly comedy series and casting calls for a number of different roles for actors, musicians and singers will soon be taking place. Devon THi! My name is Devon – a male. I just turned 20 years of age. One of my greatest qualities is being diverse. People have told me that I am a very interesting person. I often leave an unforgettable impression on people. As a child, I had the maturity of an adult. So much so that parents wanted their kids to hang around with me. Now that I am an adult, I feel like I am as wise as an old man. Even my elementary teachers still remember who I am. Leaving a definite impression on people can be blamed for the type of intelligence I possess, which gives me a vocabulary that stands out from the rest. Sometimes I feel like Leonardo di Vinci because I have multiple talents. I excel in any subject I put my focus on because of my ambition to grow. Intelligence and versatility is only the cake to my character. In psychological theory, appearance is the sweet frosting that ultimately makes the first impression. My good looks is the perfect topping. Anyone who has given me a try have never been let down. I took a Fundamentals of Acting course at the University of Detroit Mercy. This course really sparked the fire, in my desire to become an actor. Throughout the course I had to perform freestyle acts in front of an audience, mime acts, and all sorts of fun stuff. Acting may seem like a simple thing to do, however it will totally take you out of your comfort zone. Jordain CarpenterHey! My name is Jordain Carpenter (no, you dont pronounce the “ai”…you say it like a regular Jordan) and I actually don’t think this series would be good if I didn’t star in it LOL! I love acting, it’s a passion as well as music! I’m a really good actor and singer and I’ve been performing since I was 12 (not that much of an early start, but I’m good). Since I started auditioning for plays/musicals, I’ve gotten all lead roles and was like awesome (Charlie Brown, Tom Sawyer, Beauty and the Beast, etc…)! No one compared to MY performance (not to get a cocky) lol it’s not like that. I work well with people and when it comes to work and performing, I’m on it. I’ve been inducted into the Jr. Thespian Society at my school, going onto highschool (which means I have a higher chance of getting lead roles n stuff..which I doubt I need…just sayin) and I have a very unique look (no I’m NOT ugly…unless you would think so) and personality! I’m pretty sure you’d need me in this show. I’ve loved nickelodeon since I was a child..all the way back to 90s nick (no i wasnt born in the 90s i just watched those shows growing up). I feel that with me on the show, I would blossom and it would bring a new look to TV. I’m not the kind of guy that is stuck up and stuff (hope ya didnt get that idea), I am very humble and kind… I need to listen to people a little more but I can work on it. BellaHey! My name is Bella, I am 11 years old and music is my life. My favorite musicians are Chopin, Beethoven, Gwen Stefani from No doubt and all the Beatles. This experience taught me how to use dancing and singing to express myself and my character. I have done tap dance, hip hop and modern dance.
