I do some of the songs with my choirmates, we absolutely enjoy harmonizing to them and creating our own twist. I sang in a vocal grouo and joined a college competition and we won first place. It was acapella, very much the same as whats seen in the movie. I love music and I am in choir though Im not really the technical type of singer. PareesaHello! To be honest, I really loved the movie Pitch Perfect because it combined my favorite elements of a movie together. It was unique, comedic, and had just the right amount of romance. The characters definitely wormed their way into my heart. My favorite parts were definitely the acapella performances however. They were lovely to watch and I’m glad I get to look forward to more! I would really like to be considered for a role in Pitch Perfect 2. I am 17 years old and I have had experience performing in front of audiences, and though my experience in vocal competitions is minimal, it is not nonexistent. The previous year I was a finalist in the Texas French Symposium for vocal solo, and made semi-finals for my vocal group and instrumental group (which I also sang in) at the same competition. My voice is very unique and distinct as it is very bipolar, in the literal sense. My head voice, or falsetto, is very light, gentle, and full of vibrato, whereas my chest voice is extremely powerful and full of resonance. With my chest voice, I can hold a note for a full 15 seconds. I also am very good at transposing and matching notes or a series of notes, being “pitch perfect” like the movie’s title. To be in this movie would be a dream come true, even if I were an extra and not a major or minor character at all, though that would be even more miraculous. I’m a phenomenal singer, and I adore singing in front of large crowds. I hardly get nervous but if I am nervous then it goes away very quickly. I also act. I’ve been in some plays but never with large parts, although I love having many lines. I also don’t get nervous about acting. I can dance, but I just need to be taught choreography. Now, as to why you should choose me. I’m very good with memorization, whether it comes to lines, lyrics, or dance moves. I’m a very hard worker. No matter what I’m doing, I give it my all and I’m very persistent. I won’t quit something unless I’m done my best. I’m very good when it comes to emotion. I put all of my emotion into a song and I FEEL the song. I don’t just sing it. It’s the same way when I act. I learn everything about my character and I AM the character. I’m not much of a dancer, but I do know that a dance must feel the song and not just demonstrate the moves and I can so that as well. I’m just looking for something that I love to also be something that I am, at one point, professionally involved in. Sarah KingI am so excited that PP2 is going to begin soon! I don’t know how many times I have watched the movie and listened to the soundtrack, I am such a fan! I can relate to ‘Fat Amy (Patricia)’ as I am taller and a little heavier than most of my friends. Not obese, just not a barbie either. I also love how PP encourages people to be themselves and that even though we may be different, we each have something special and unique to show the world. When that happens in the show and everyone starts to open up and show their talents, it is the best! I take voice lessons and am also in a music group called All About Music. I’ve performed for the National Federation of Music the past 3 years and have received ‘Superior’ ratings on each of my performances, earning me a gold cup and making me eligible for scholarship money. I recently performed at our local Mall and was approached by a college rep. telling me I should come to her school as she thought my performance of Beyonce’s ‘Ave Maria” was “magnificent”. It is kind of funny because I am only 14 years old, but am often mistaken for being older. Maybe because I am taller than my mom 🙂 I would give anything to just have an opportunity to audition. Maranda TharpeHello. My name is Maranda Tharpe and I am 22 years-olds. I absolutely love the idea of Pitch Perfect 2. The first Pitch Perfect was absolutely amazing. As a watching the film for the first time, I thought to myself, “Wow! The writers really grasped the concept of what being in college is really like; from meeting new people, to discovering who you are as a person and finding activities that you enjoy doing, and also making those life-long friendships that are very dear to you.” I also love all of the music in the movie. I, myself was in Georgia Military College’s Chorus, as well as GMC’s Chamber Choir for two years. In high school, I participated it marching band, chorus, and a little bit of theatre. I feel like I could really relate to the characters. I would love to have a chance to be apart of this new film.
