Edward William PollleyThe PIrates series, to me, is reminiscent of the old Harryhausen adventure movies I loved as a kid and achieved on the level on which it intend. This, by definition, makes them good movies. And unlike most modern action movies, the first and fourth Pirate films were free of cynicism, choosing rather to be nothing more than fun adventure films which makes them great and uncommon for kids of today. I would relish the opportunity to be a part of one, actor or otherwise.I would like to act in it because I believe myself to be a good actor. I believe this not out of arrogance but because, though I have done no film work, I have preformed in a few plays and, although my most recent role was limited to one scene, a child I have never met came up to me at the after party only tell me how good he thought I was. Acting caught my eye when I was helping out some friends on my high school football team. Acting out our own coaches were one thing, but when I was said to have been the best actor, I then decided to try and pursue acting auditions.
